GasSUF the main event for the gas industry From 4 to 6 September 2012 in Moscow, the Sokolniki exhibition centre hosted the 10 th anniversary edition of GasSUF, the International Exhibition of Technologies for Distribution and. 68 companies exhibited at the event from Armenia, Belarus, Germany, Italy, China, South Korea, Russia, Poland, France, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and the UAE. GasSUF, the only exhibition of its kind in Russia, is an integrated event fully dedicated to gas transport issues. The exhibition s profile combined highly topical sectors: Production, storage, transportation and use of motor fuel gas Vehicles running on liquefied petroleum gas, compressed and liquefied natural gas, biomethane, hydrogen and fuel cells Refuelling equipment Standalone gas supply Using natural gas Organisers: MVK, part of ITE Group, and the Russian Natural Gas Motor Association. Visitors One of the exhibition s key components is its visitors! GasSUF stands out with its ideal high-quality visitor range, noted by all the exhibitors and proven by the statistics. 52.8% of visitors influence their company s procurement/ordering, and 27% are the company s main decision-maker. Results of visiting 56.7% of visitors learnt about new products and services 46.4% found new partners and clients at the exhibition 40.4% compared products and services 40.4% held one or more meetings with partners and clients 18% signed new contracts 97.2% plan to visit again in 2013 Most visitors came from Russia. Visitors represented 51 Russian regions, chiefly from Moscow and the Moscow Region (81.2% of all visitors), St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region (1.89%), and the Nizhniy Novgorod (1.16%), Sverdlovsk (1.05%) and Voronezh (0.95%) Regions. In total, 1,336 industry professionals visited the exhibition from 20 countries.
Business programme The GasSUF business programme was aimed at business cooperation and offered excellent additional development opportunities for all exhibitors and visitors. Events held within the exhibition: A press conference from Rugasco and Hexagon Composites ASA dedicated to the results of the company s first year and the development prospects for the polymer composite gas systems market. A meeting of the working group of the Russian National Gas Motor Association, at which partnership issues were discussed. 31 out of the Partnership s 42 members took part. A round table on the 2012 edition of the Blue Corridor motor rally, which included topics such as Natural gas: the fuel of the 21 st century from an E.On.Ruhrgas representative; V. Matyushechkin from Gazprom presented information on total gas reserves in Russia to the audience, as well as information on the demand for gas fuel with the prediction that this will rise by 55% up to 2035; S. Guskov from the Russian Gas Society spoke about the organisation s participation in developing the Russian gas motor market; I. Maitinskiy, V. Tsaryk and D. Grebe, all from Gazprom, gave a presentation entitled Development of the European gas motor market ; R. Batyrin, General Director of Raritek, highlighted issues relating to transport equipment; and O. Kuner from the German firm Bauer Kompressoren spoke about gas fuelling equipment in Europe, rating developed countries by the number of cars running on alternative fuels and the number of natural gas filling stations. Companies giving at-stand presentations included Raritek, Russian Buses, Gruppa Gaz and Bauer Kompressoren.
