We had a blast and we were welcomed with open arms. (seems to be that way with all of the chapters we visit) Anyway we are going to change our affiliation to PA-B from this date on. Sorry, but traveling to and from Easton and getting a room for the night is proving to be too costly for our wallet. So this is the last news letter I ll be putting together for MD-L. And we relinquish out status a co-assistant directors and 2016 couple of the year. I hope that someone will step up to the plate and carry on. This has been a banner year for Chapter L and I wish everyone in the chapter well, and will be rooting for ya ll in our hearts. George & Kathy Former Chapter L Assistant Directors 2

Pictures from our visit to PA-B s August Gathering This was a nice ride for us, it took about 1/2 hour. We had our choice of short buffet (coffee, sweet rolls, and fruit) or a long buffet (eggs, bacon, sausage, and hash browns). It was good, yum! Then their meeting, same stuff we talk about, guess that s standard with all chapters. 6
Rider Education By Jeff McCarter Chapter L Rider Educator Rider Education Points to Ponder By Jeff McCarter This article is one person s opinions I just returned from a great riding experience in the twisty mountain roads for 12 days, and thought I would pass on something that I noted made our ride better and safer. Have a good system down with your co-rider to call out dangers. After my corider called simply deer one time, and I completely missed seeing the deer they said was right on the side of the road, we came up with the 3 time system and it worked for us. After that, hearing deer deer deer made it very clear and worked well. I received several call outs the rest of the trip. Also always keep in mind if you get into a turn a little fast, push that handlebar harder and / or shift your weight inbound. Kiss the mirror they say. We hit the twistys hard one day and at the end my shoulders were tired and I just ached the next morning. So I decided to spend the day in an inner tube floating down river, eating ice cream, and finally watching musicians play in the streets of a nice small town. Best decision I made the whole trip was to not ride that day. Next day I was ready to go and feeling good. I was also lowering our risk by taking care of one of the 3 P s, the Proper You, and relaxing doing it. Just add our Proper Gear and Proper Equipment and we were complete for a longer more enjoyable day riding. 7
