General information The General Assembly will take place just after Easter Average weather for Brisbane in April is: Temperature Min 18 (64), Max 25 (77) Rain 130mm No. of rainy days 12 Accommodation, Conference and General Assembly The delegates will stay at the Mercure Tower of the Mercure/Pullman Hotel, a four star hotel located in Brisbane CBD. The Hotel is in King George Square a central location in Brisbane and walking distance to a range of attractions. Meals All meals will be included, either at the Accommodation venue (Breakfast and Dinner), Conference Venue (Lunch) and any Social Functions (Dinner). Breakfasts provided daily will be buffet style with a selection of hot and cold items Lunches will be working style lunches with a selection of sandwiches/wraps and fresh fruit, tea, coffee and juice in line with the event program Morning and afternoon tea will be provided in line with the event program Dinners/evening functions will be provided in line with the event program General Assembly INAS General Assembly will take place at Mercure/Pullman Hotel. The Kennedy room is booked for the event which will cater for up to 100 delegates and includes the following equipment and media resources; Natural lighting State of the art technologies Broadband and complimentary Wi-Fi Governing Board and Committee Meetings The Governing Board meetings and other scheduled Committee meetings will take place at Mercure/Pullman Hotel. Each meeting room can cater for up to 20 delegates and offers the following resources Natural lighting State of the art technologies Broadband and complimentary Wi-Fi Registration and Information about Brisbane A delegate registration desk will be established at the Brisbane airport, where delegates will be met and able to receive their accreditation, delegate pack with information relevant to their stay in Brisbane. A delegate pack will be made available to all delegates and will include notepaper and pen, conference handbook and other materials at the discretion of the Organising Committee. Social Events There will be three functions included in the package for all Delegates plus a 2019 Global Games preview a) Welcome reception to be held in the evening on Friday 21 April after a preview visit of INAS Global Games venues; b) The Inas Awards ceremony on Saturday 22 April; c) Closing Dinner on Sunday 23 April; Sightseeing tours will be available to purchase for delegates and accompanying people. We will endeavour to assist you in this process. 4
Transportation The following Transport will be provided for all Conference delegates and Accompanying persons: Brisbane Airport to Accommodation and return; Accommodation to Meeting venues and return To and from Ceremonies and Functions and Inas Global Games Brisbane 2019 Site Venues. Additional transport will be available on request to cater for any official requirements. Brisbane has a very good public transport bus system and is well serviced by Taxis. Taxis operate a meter which charges per kilometre. A full transport itinerary will be developed following receipt of arrival and departure details and confirmation of ceremonies, functions and meeting times. Bookings and administration Participants will be required to complete Conference and General Assembly application details online https://inas.sport80.com/. An indication of attendance would be appreciated by the 15th December 2016. This application will capture all necessary personal details of participants and accompanying persons, including arrival and departure details, dietary requirements, special needs and accommodation preferences. At the beginning of February each participant will receive confirmation of their details including accommodation and local transport arrangements. Conference details, venues, attendees and agendas, papers will all be available electronically on the website. On arrival participants will again be provided with confirmation of their details and a Conference and General Assembly Handbook. A temporary secretariat office will be setup to provide administrative support throughout the Conference and General Assembly at the Mercure/Pullman Hotel. 6
