Stakeholder Engagement Example Heart of Wales Line Aims: Determine what frequency is achievable with the current infrastructure What minimal infrastructure intervention is required to create a two-hourly timetable Method: Optimising the current timetable making use of the double track sections of the line, passing loops, and possible track improvements. Results: Option 1 - With the current infrastructure, and no line speed improvements, potentially a train every 2 hours 10 minutes Option 2 - By making minimal changes to the infrastructure to improve line speeds, such as through track improvements, a train every 2 hours could potentially be achieved 7-Jun-17 / 9
