Invitation NATURAL PRODUCTS NZ SUMMIT 2016 Into the Future The Rutherford Hotel, NELSON 16-18 March 2016 The Age of Disruption is here! The technological, social, demographic, economic and legislative landscapes in which we operate are constantly changing, so don t wait for things to return to normal because this is the new normal. It s an exciting time that s full of opportunities for our industry but the challenge is to know how best to respond when nobody knows what the future holds. What will be tomorrow s major health concerns? Which dietary trends will rise and fall? How can we rapidly meet these changes to innovate and bring new products to market? Which technologies will influence our lives? What marketing opportunities will arise at home and abroad and how can we best leverage them? These are all important questions, which is why NPNZ s 2016 Summit is focusing its sights on our theme of Into the Future. We are delighted to have secured world-renowned future global food and drink industry trends expert, Professor David Hughes as our keynote speaker. As Emeritus Professor of Food Marketing at Imperial College London, Professor Hughes will provide valuable insights into our industry s future. This information will be crucial for helping NPNZ and you, our individual members to review our respective strategies so as to ensure we are taking advantage of the opportunities arising from the ongoing change while also identifying and managing the risks. As you will see in the programme, the Summit s fantastic speaker line-up will provide practical advice that builds on Professor Hughes insights, including sessions on developing strategies in these fast paced times and how best to sell to different consumer groups. The Ministry of Health will provide an update, and you will also gain useful tips on successful project management during a time of expansion, as well as information about dealing effectively with Chinese market growth. It s an exciting line-up, so register on or before 29 January 2016 to take advantage of the early bird special discount of $525 for members / $775 non-members (a full-price ticket is $625 or $875). Be sure to also get in early and book your accommodation and flights to Nelson as well. The board and I look forward to seeing you there. Alison Quesnel, Executive Director November 2015 We thank our Summit Sponsors for their generous support of NPNZ and the industry
