Symbiosing it! Enhance youth Info pack Salinas (Asturias), 21 st 28 th September 2014 Training course Eramus + / Youth in Action Dear applicant / participant! This training couse will be a chance for youth workers and youth leaders to work in good practices towards new projects based on increasing the empowerment of youth in the decision making process. It is a 8 days course where participants will explore different aspects of active citizenship, reflecting as well about their personal and professional potential opportunities to make changes in society through youth projects. There will be 25 participants from Spain, France, Italy, Armenia, Turkey, Portugal and Bulgaria Aims & Objectives Promoting European active citizenship and in democratic life at different levels through the development of new, qualified projects. Enhance cooperation between European organisations working or willing to work together on the topic. Dissemination of good practices on youth among participants. Profile of the participants: Youth workers and youth leaders willing to develop projects on youth and active citizenship. Participants will must also: Be available to attend the entire course; Be able to work in English; Have the motivation and capacity to develop projects for and with young people on youth ; Be motivated to learn and to develop their professional and personal competences. Financial and practical conditions Under the new Erasmus + Training and Networking for Youth Work and Youth title, the travel issues will be reimbursed based on the distance mentioned in European Commission s page http://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus plus/tools/distance_en.htm. PRACTICAL INFORMATION: DATES: 21 st to 28 th September PLACE: Salinas (Asturias, Spain) Salinas is a little summer town in the coast of Asturias next to Avilés, where our organisation, Ye Too Ponese, is based. Salinas is known for its beach and the surf culture, as well as a summer place. It has an anchor museum and wonderful views of the regional coast. It is also used as a dormitory town for those who work in Avilés, the closest city. Avilés has around 85.000 inhabitants and it is the 3 rd most important city of the region of Asturias, in the North West of Spain. SALINAS!!!
VENUE: LONG HOUSE SALINAS Address: Calle Carmen, 9, Castriḷḷón, Asturias (Spain) Telephone: +34 985 50 22 34 Website: http://salinaslonghouse.com/ Participants and trainers will be accommodated in this small hostel with 25 people in the center of the village, and we will occupy the whole building during the whole training. Rooms are for 4 and 6 persons each, with shared bathrooms. It is an old building that has been renewed to host surfcamps and it has a fancy bar and a beer garden open to the public with a great atmohsphere during summertime. There is supermarkets and shops close to the hostel. The beach is 3 minutes walk and there is also a little pine forest in the surroundings.
TRAVEL INFORMATION BY PLANE to Spain: The best way for all of you coming from far away, the best way is to look for flights either to Madrid, Barcelona or Santander: 1) Barcelona: you will have to take another plane from Barcelona to the regional Airport: OVIEDO / Asturias 2) Madrid: you can either take another plane to the regional Airport: OVIEDO / Asturias take a bus from Madrid (Barajas Airport T4 or Madrid main bus station) to Oviedo or Avilés: http://www.alsa.es/en/ take a train from Madrid to Oviedo: http://www.renfe.com/en/viajeros/index.html 3) Santander: you will have to take a bus from Santander to Oviedo or Avilés: http://www.alsa.es/en/ For all of you arriving straight to Oviedo, there are buses every 30 minutes from Oviedo to Avilés from the bus station of Oviedo. We will be in the bus station of Avilés! For all of you arriving to the regional Airport, there are buses almost every hour to Avilés bus station, and we will be looking fordward to receive you there!
