1 KA2, Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices Capacity building in the field of youth project You(th) can play for Europe ACTIVITY 1 Coordination meeting Sajan, Serbia
2 About the project This is a Capacity building project that includes 4 activities : Coordination meeting, Seminar, Workshop and Evaluation meeting, that will be organized by Youth work Coalition, as applicant, held in Sajan (Kikinda), Kovacica (Belgrade), Andrevlje (Novi Sad) and Sajan (Kikinda) in Serbia. The project aims to gather founders of partner organizations, their members, youth workers, professionals or associates from Serbia, FYROM, Germany, Romania, Albania, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Main objectives of the project are: - to understand our own beliefs and feelings about LGBTphobia, and recognize and act upon the important leadership role you play as life learning individual; - to describe acceptable behaviors, clarify disrespectful behaviors, and highlight behaviors that demonstrate an inclusive environment of openness and respect; - to promote greater understanding and awareness of the effects of discrimination against young LGBT individuals and prejudice in schools, that have on them;
3 - to present EU legislation, papers and actions in support of LGBT people in sports; - act quickly to address LGBTphobic language, jokes and actions that ridicule or put down LGBT people, women or any minority groups; - to educate staff, youth workers, youth leaders and volunteers on their responsibilities for being respectful and nondiscriminatory to all, regardless of their own personal beliefs, avoid assumptions or judgements based on stereotypes or rumor; - to clarify the role of EU institutions, national institutions, nonprofit/non-government organizations, sporting clubs and individuals in the wholesome of support for LGBT sports-persons and young people. All the stakeholders, direct and indirect beneficiaries, can benefit greatly by working together to promote participation and support for LGBT persons in sport. We believe that sports will be a safe and nurturing place for all youth, including those who will grow up to identify as LGBT. Methods used are group and individual work, plenary discussions, brainstorming, presentation, role plays, learning by doing, case studies, round tables and open space methods. Seminar aims at creation of Platform for networking on the issues LGBT persons in sports.

6 VENUE sajan Sajan (Serbian Cyrillic: Сајан, Hungarian: Szaján) is a village in the Kikinda municipality, in the North Banat District of Serbia. It is situated in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. The village has a Hungarian ethnic majority (88.64%) and a population of 1,164 (2011 census). The village was first mentioned in 1225 under the name of Zeyhan. Zeyhan was the name of a Cuman ruler in the neighbouring county of Bodrogiensis (The nomadic Cumans were settled in the central part of the Pannonian Plain in the medieval Kingdom of Hungary in the 13th century, and they often controlled also the neighbouring settlements, which were not inhabited by Cumans).
