CHAIRMAN REPORT Howdy Shooters: Well we have one Chairman Contest down and three more to go. The contest in Greenville Ohio hosted by the Shawnee Bandits was a very nice contest. The contest was ran as smooth and efficient as any contest I have ever attended. All who could not attend missed out on a great contest. Records were being broken consistently on both days. The Husband and Wife team of Tom and Donna Lechner won the Open Division, Donna beat everyone including all the men. Donna also won the Thumbing Division, along with TD Campbell for the men s. Very impressive. Next contest will be in Canada July 15 th & 16 th. Be sure you get your paperwork taken care of before your trip. These days it is more difficult to cross the border to come home than it is to go to Canada for a contest. The Fast Draw family is starting off with some bad luck this year. Jon Wilson in the hospital due to an auto accident, has been there quite a while with apparently a slow but steady recovery process. We all wish him & Jesse well. Joyce Bright and Carolys Sajovic who were associated with Fast Draw for many years have passed away. Our deepest sympathies to all family & friends. Jack Rudd submitted this outstanding report about his son Ethan: Ethan M. Rudd will graduate on May 12 with a PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. In addition, he will receive the department's award for Outstanding PhD Student. Congrats to Jack and Ethan. Everyone take care & be safe out there. Dan Qualls

Secretary Report Well, here we are, almost through the month of May & headed into June. Don t know where this year has already gone. The Ohio match has come & gone. As far as I know, everyone who attended had a good time. Congratulations to the winners. The next one coming up in July is Canada. We re still getting some people signing up. Thank all of you who have continued to support WFDA. Ruth Ann Qualls Secretary, WFDA

Vice Chairman Reports Area 7 hello from fabulous Las Vegas Nevada home of the new Raiders nation that we got from Oakland. last December we got our first major league hockey team called the Golden Knights and last month they voted to move the Oakland Raiders from Oakland California to Las Vegas Nevada. they will play the 2017 2018 season in Oakland and then move to Las Vegas and start playing here at the Sam Boyd Stadium on the 2018 and 2019 season all the new stadium is being built at a cost the $700 million, which will bring in more than 6000 jobs to the Valley. can't wait for all of us to get started. glad to read reports on John's condition and he's improving I know it's going to be a long road but we all were praying for him, and a speedy recovery. not much more to report from here the weather's been good in the mid-70s in the daytime and mid- 50s at night nothing like the rest of the country is getting. there sorry to hear that the shoot and Mountain View was canceled I was looking forward to going there and had so much fun and try out the zip line but I guess I'll have till next year I hope. planning on going to Banks Oregon in August and see you all there been a thought to remember if you don't take care of it you will lose it so take care. from Las Vegas Nevada this is Larry Schipper see you all soon Area 8 Just got home from a well executed Shoot in Ohio. Great location, indoors and well staffed for keeping shooters up on their progress.we also at the shoot, the 50/50 raised $540 to help TrickShot with medical expenses. $180 from shooters $180 match from WFDA and thanks to the Knicks for donating their winnings back $180.Well done Annie Oakley Days.Area 8 shoot in Sept. Will have some fantastic Prizes and multiple targets to change it up. Check out Dan's info page. Another indoor shoot and # 3 for Dan Thanks Dan for all you do. See ya all at the next shoot. Canada here we come! Frank and Judy Area 9 Not much going on here except practice. Looking forward to seeing, and shooting with all of you at a shoot this year. The Ohio contest was a great shoot again this year. That bunch does a great job. And this year there were a lot of non shooters keeping score, and they did a great job. A big six gun salute to the Shawnee bandits. We are already looking forward to next year. SHOOT FAST AND TRUE JIM TINSLEY

Area 11 On behalf of all of the Shawnee Bandits I would like to thank all that attended the contest in Greenville, Ohio. Having happy shooters at the end of the weekend makes the contest a success and worth the time and effort to put on. Also, members in area 11 send their thoughts and prayers to the families of Joyce Bright, and Carolyn Sajovic. Joyce had longtime ties with the WFDA and Carolyn with the OFDA. Both were dear women and will be missed. We also extend our thoughts and prayers to Jon Trickshot Wilson and his family with his recovery from an automobile accident. Hang in there Jon. Tom Lechner Area 20 Hi Everyone; How about that guy, Tbirds Jacob Alger! This year at the B.C. Hunting and Fishing Show, Jacob ran all over the place getting folks to sign the management s petition to get the Thunderbird s Fast Draw demos back, and then he signed up for a draw for a shotgun, and won the danged thing! Well, he went and did the same thing again this year, and won their rifle! Greed, pure undiluted greed.nice work, Jacob! Last year, as you may recall, the Tbirds Shooting Show was stopped as the new mayor, misguided by an ex-cop on her council, stopped the use of handguns in the show, which was then called the B.C. Rod and Gun Show. To appease the council, the Show management has agreed to remove the evil word gun from the title so it is now called the Cloverdale Hunting and Fishing Show. Show management has since produced a set of petitions wanting to get things back to normal. Thousands of people have signed these petitions, and the Tbirds managed to get another 1,500 petitions signed and handed in this this year. Last year it was empty holsters for us, and the story went across Canada as the media jumped on it! Yes, we had plenty of sympathy publicity, but that s it., This year we were allowed Single Action B.B. guns to wear in our rigs just for show. Unable to use Blanks, we simply set up our booth with Reaction Tests of our timers, and kept folks somewhat entertained while watching our t.v., then signing the petitions as well. CONGRATS to those Thunderbirds who won the nifty WFDA Buckle Awards at the Banquet in Ohio a couple of weeks ago! As for those Tbirds that won, 3 rd Place All-Around Top Gun Buckles for 2016 went to Karen Robinson, and Shawn Murphy, who won Women s and Men s respectively! In the Women s Div., other Buckles that Tbird gals won went to Paula Murphy, 4 th O/A, and Nicole Franks, 5 th O/A, while in the Men s Div., Buckles went to: 6 th O/A Den Robinson, 7 th, Pl. to Nick the Quick (who broke several speed records on his way!) and Martin Quesnel moved into the 15 th Place O/A position to win that Buckle, while Paula Murphy, and myself, won the Area 20 Buckles, NICE WORK ALL, and, CONGRATULATIONS to Judy Lawton and Howard Darby, who won the O/A Titles and All- Around Top Gun Buckles for 2016! Coming up for the Tbirds is the Fort Langley show on Canada Days as the club was said to be a hit last year. This will be the third in row for that area. As well, another show is in the works for the month of June at this time, so we will need plenty of permit applications to fill out.cheee more dang useless red tape!

Speaking of which, WE WILL NEED THE INFORMATION FROM ANY SHOOTER who is coming to our World Blank Index Championships in Aldergrove, B.C., on the July 15 th weekend! You will need our handwritten INVITES! And you should BOOK into the Comfort Inn Motel in Aldergrove, as Karen has made available a block of rooms there as it is the least expensive of the Motels in the area of the event This is the old Super8 that you used to stay in. They say it includes a Full Breakfast, and the nightly rate is $99, (Canadian, approx, $75 US. at this point.) You MUST let them know that you are `Fast Draw` to get that rate.and there is a baseball tournament there this year, so you must act quickly! THERE WILL BE A THUMBING EVENT! Called the Canadian Thumb-buster`s Championships`` and those of you whom are planning to enter must send me the info on your THUMBING GUNS! In the U.S, serial number(s) barrel length(s) model and make, all of which will be added to any of the Modified guns that I already have on you. (unless you are coming here for the first time-then I will need all the info on the days you will be here (across border, etc.) Some shooters picked their invites up in Ohio, I will send others-that weren`t there-our brochure and Invites as well. Dan Qualls has some info for the U.S. Shooters when coming across the border, regarding a free permit in order to bring your gun(s) back into the U.S.-I will let him add the details to that one which came to our attention late last year. Also, when crossing the Canadian Border, that permit is $25 (Can.$) roughly $17 U.S. BUT PLEASE PAY IT IN CANADIAN FUNDS! (in short, be prepared to bring $25 Canadian to the border.) My next job is to write yàll and verify that I have all the info on your guns, where you are staying, etc., if there is any more info required please contact myself or Karen at: 604-540-6394`. CRANKIE FRANKIE-Our club and area wishes you the best and quickest recovery-please take care and don`t push yourself, just do as your medics advise! Well, this is getting too long again, so I will leave our Tbirds adventures and results of the Ohio contest up to Dan this time, but, THANK YOU, SHAWNEE BANDITS for a great time! See yàll later, Folks, D. Robinson, V.C., WFDA AREA 20 (B.C.)"

Below is the form you need to fill out and have a Border Patrol Office stamp and sign it before you take your guns into Canada. This according to the information I received from the Border Patrol. Very quick and simple. If you could get it stamped by a Border Patrol office before your trip, you could save yourself a lot of time. You can goggle and print it out. You could Probably cut this one out and use it but I always like to have an extra copy?
