Market Street Washington C.H., Ohio 43160 (740) 335.6170 AUGUST NEWS Last updated 09/03/2014 08-31-14 CRIMINAL DAMAAGING/CRIMINAL TRESPASSING: A complaint was received of an ATV causing sod damage at the sewage plant in the 7000 Block of State Route 753. The property owner requested the suspect remain off the property. Minor damage to the grass was reported. MENACING: Haydin Coy reported a known female called him and made verbal threats. Coy was referred to the solicitor for charges. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies was dispatched to a domestic incident to the 8000 block of Cross Rd. Upon the completion of the investigation it was determined that no violence or threats of violence occurred. DISORDERLY BY FIGHTING: Deputies were dispatched to the Fayette County Jail on a fight complaint. It was determined two female inmates were engaged in the altercation. Rhonda Arnold & Kristen Everhart were both charged with disorderly by fighting. DISORDERLY BY FIGHTING: Deputies were dispatched to the Fayette County Jail on a fight complaint. Upon the completion of the investigation it was determined that Toni Kirby and Kourtney Rowland engaged into a mutual altercation. Both Kirby and Rowland were charged with disorderly by fighting. 08-30-14 TRAFFIC CRASH: Jeffrey Harrop of Bloomingburg, Ohio was attempting to back out of a private drive in the 600 block of Hays Rd. Harrop struck a parked vehicle owned by Vernon Isaacs that was also in the driveway. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: A report was made to the sheriff s office of a female that was unresponsive in the 1300 block of Forest St. Deputies located the victim unconscious. The victim was transported by Fayette County EMS to FCMH for treatment. Several drug paraphernalia items were seized at the residence. AGGRAVATED MENACING: Deputies responded to Bloomingburg on a report of verbal threat of one male to stab another male with a knife. Both the victim and suspect were juveniles and guardians of both were contacted and advised of the incident.

BURGLARY/THEFT: Letty Bonham of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that person(s) unknown had forcible entered a rental house on Eyman Rd and removed several items from the residence. 08-29-14 WANTED PERSON / SEX OFFENDER: The Fayette County Sheriff s Office is seeking the whereabouts of a registered sex offender that has allegedly moved from the residence where she was last registered. Chasity J. Davis, Age 29 is being sought by sheriff s detectives for failing to register a change of address as required by law. According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, a deputy conducted a random address verification at a residence on Briar Avenue where Davis was last known to be residing. During the check, the deputy discovered that Davis had recently vacated the residence and did not file a change of address with the Sheriff s Office. Sheriff s detectives conducted an investigation into the whereabouts of Davis and discovered that she was reportedly residing at a residence in the 300 block of Western Avenue. Detectives established telephone contact with Davis and instructed her to come to the Sheriff s Office to file the required documents to change her residential address. Davis has since failed to comply with that order. An arrest warrant was filed on August 28, 2014 in the Washington Court House Municipal Court for Davis stemming from her failing to register. BURGLARY / THEFT: Charles Adams, an employee of a property management company hired by the Bank of America, reports that he was assigned to clean up a foreclosed property in Madison Twp. Upon inspecting the property he found that numerous large items were missing from the property. POSSESSION OF DRUG ABUSE INSTUMENT: While on patrol, a Deputy encountered a subject who appeared to be intoxicated, walking in the street. Upon contacting the subject he was searched and found to be in possession of a syringe. Jacob Richter, of Washington CH, was arrested and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail on this charge. CIVIL/CUSTODY DISPUTE: A report was made by a female concerning her 4 year old daughter and the failure of the paternal grandfather to return the child. She was referred to her attorney and the Domestic Relations court on Tuesday for follow-up. MENACING BY STALKING: Derek Myers of Jeffersonville, Ohio came to the Sheriff s Office to make a report, however departed prior to the deputy s arrival. Myers alleged that a known male was following him while he was driving. DOG BITE: Megan McDonald of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that two of her dogs got into a fight at her residence. Upon attempting to pull the dogs apart McDonald was bit by one of the canines.

THEFT: Nicholas Gilbert of Washington C.H., Ohio came to the Sheriff s Office to retrieve his wallet that was found. Upon retrieving the wallet Gilbert reported that currency and a debit card were missing from the wallet. 08-28-14 DISORDERLY CONDUCT BY FIGHTING: Sheriff s deputies responded to Peddicord Ave on a fight complaint. Further investigation from deputies advised two females became involved in a verbal altercation that lead to the females physically assaulting each other. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to West St, Bloomingburg on a domestic complaint. Upon arrival deputies identified all parties involved and determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred. UNRULY CHILD: The Sheriff s Office responded to a report of a 14 year old unruly female who had departed the residence without permission. Upon the deputy s arrival the child had returned to the residence. The child was counseled concerning her behavior and the consequences should this behavior continue. CRIMINAL TRESPASS: James Roe of Circleville, Oh reported a known subject entered onto his property in Bloomingburg, OH and failed to depart. THEFT: Garnet Pack of Washington CH, Oh reported person(s) unknown deprived her of her credit/debit card and made unauthorized purchases. The incident is under investigation. 08-27-14 MENACING: Heather McVay of Jeffersonville, Oh reported she received threats from a known male subject. THEFT: Terry Marshall of Washington CH, OH reported person(s) unknown made unauthorized transactions on his bank account. THEFT/CRIMINAL TRESPASS/ CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Jaret Bishop of Washington CH, Oh reports person(s) unknown entered onto his property caused damage to farm equipment and removed the batteries. TRAFFIC CRASH: Michael Merritt of Washington CH, Oh was traveling south on S.R 753 passing a semi tractor-trailer in the left lane. Upon passing the semi tractor-trailer Merritt approached another vehicle. Merritt took evasive action steering into the right lane traveling off the right side of the roadway striking a sign post and fence. No injuries were reported. Merritt was cited for Failure to Control. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jerry O. Fleak of Bloomingburg, Ohio was stopped at the intersection of Bloomingburg New Holland Rd. and SR 38 when Fleak s vehicle was struck from behind by an eastbound vehicle, operated by Patricia S. Powell of Sabina, Ohio. Powell was cited for failure to maintain assure clear distance ahead.

BURGLARY/THEFT: James D. Ingram of Washington CH, Ohio reported sometime within the past 24 hours person(s) unknown forced entry to his residence and removed several items. ASSAULT: Karen Bower of Chillicothe, Ohio reported she was assaulted by a known male while staying at the Baymont Inn, Octa, Ohio. Michael L. Graham of Sabina, Ohio was charged in the offense. PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Sheriff s deputies served a protection order as ordered by the Fayette County Common Pleas Court. The respondent acknowledged understanding all guidelines of the order. THEFT: Harley Ford of Washington CH, reported person(s) unknown removed things from belonging to him from his residence. The incident is under investigation. FIRE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Washington New Martinsburg Rd on reports of a house fire. The Concord Green Township Fire Department and Fayette County EMS were summoned to the scene. DISORDERLY BY FIGHTING: Sheriff s deputy made contact in Jeffersonville, Oh on reports of an assault. Further investigation advised two male juveniles became involved in a mutual physical altercation with each other. Both male juveniles were summoned to Juvenile court. FOLLOW-UP TO NEW YEAR S EVE TRAFFIC FATALITY: A 23 year-old Fayette County man was recently indicted by a Fayette County Grand Jury on charges of Aggravated Vehicular Homicide and O.V.I. stemming from the fatal traffic crash investigated on December 31, 2013 that claimed the life of 20 year-old Anthony S. Witherspoon. The crash occurred in the 2000 block of Brock Road in northeast Fayette County. Ryan S. Schafer of Jeffersonville, Ohio was served by the Fayette County Sheriff s Office with the indictment on August 23, 2014 and is awaiting trial. The Fayette County Sheriff s Office Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit, assisted by members of the Butler County Sheriff s Office Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit continued their investigation over several months before concluding that Shafer was the operator of the vehicle at the time of the crash, according to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth. Investigators submitted the case to the Fayette County Prosecutor s Office for further action. It is alleged that December 31, 2013 at 9:49 p.m., Schafer was operating a 2006 Ford F-Series pickup truck northeast on Brock Road and failed to negotiate a right curve, losing control of the vehicle. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway striking a guardrail and continued into a small streamline, striking the bank. As the vehicle continued, it overturned ejecting Witherspoon and came to rest on its top in the driveway of a private residence on Brock Road. Witherspoon was pronounced dead at the scene by Fayette County Coroner Dr. Dennis Mesker. Schafer was critically injured in the crash and airlifted from the scene by Care Flight medical helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. 08-26-14 TAKING IDENITY OF ANOTHER: Rhonda Aills of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported that a family member used her personal identification at a hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

VIOLATION OF PROTECTION ORDER: Amanda Wilson of Washington CH, OH, reported a known male subject who Wilson has a protection order against was in the area of her residence. Steven Nixon was located by a Sheriff s deputy near Wilson s residence where he was placed under arrest and transported to the Fayette County Jail. TAKING IDENTITY OF ANOTHER/ THEFT: Teresa Yoho of Washington CH, Oh reported person(s) unknown used a family member s identity to obtain a tax return. The Department of Taxation was contacted and advised of the offense. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to North St, Jeffersonville on a domestic incident. Deputies identified all parties involved and determined no assault or threats of violence had occurred. WELFARE CHECK: Sheriff s deputies responded to Delaware St, in Washington CH on a welfare check of a minor child. The deputy made contact with mother of the child and conducted an investigation. Fayette County Children Services was contacted and the incident remains under investigation. 08-25-14 THEFT: Mark Bottorff of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported person(s) unknown removed property from the bed of his truck while parked at his residence. DOG BITE: An 11 year old male was bitten on the arm by a dog in the area of East Concord Lane in Bloomingburg. Sheriff s Deputies and the Fayette County Dog warden located the dog however the dog s owner could not be located. The dog was transported to the dog shelter. THEFT: George Dalton of Washington C.H., Ohio reported a known female was at his residence and removed personal property. Brooke Conover was charged and arrested in the incident. 08-24-14 TRAFFIC CRASH: Dannie J. Nevels of Fairfield, Ohio was traveling northbound on Factory Shops Blvd. when Nevels made an improper lane change into the path of another northbound vehicle operated by Carolyn Beverly of Washington CH, Ohio. The vehicles suffered minor damages. No injuries were reported. Nevels was cited for failure to stay within marked lanes. OBSTRUCTING: While a sheriff s deputy was on patrol in the village of Jeffersonville he observed a large gathering behind the bar. A male ran from the scene and was later located a few blocks from the scene. Charles Furniss Jr. was arrested in the incident. BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT: Dennis Smith of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that person(s) unknown made forcible entry into his detached shed and removed personal property. THEFT: Millard Harmon of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that person(s) unknown removed a dog kennel from his property.

08-23-14 CRIMINAL DAMAGING: William Brown of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported sometime overnight a known person damaged his motor vehicle. CRIMINAL TRESPASS/THEFT: Toby W. Glass of Jamestown, Ohio reported sometime within the past few days persons unknown trespassed on his property and removed several items. TRAFFIC CRASH: Rashan K. Williams of Dayton, Ohio was traveling westbound on U.S. Rte 35 near mile post# 21 when Williams failed to maintain control of his motor vehicle. Williams traveled off of the north side of the roadway, striking the ditch causing the vehicle to roll several times before coming to rest. The vehicle suffered heavy damage. No injuries were reported. Williams was cited for failure to control. 08-22-14 TRAFFIC CRASH: Cassandra Haynes of Sabina, Ohio was traveling eastbound near 4161 Greenfield-Sabina Rd. when Haynes swerved to miss a horse in the roadway. Haynes failed to maintain control of her motor vehicle, traveling left of center, off of the north side of the roadway striking a mail box. The vehicle suffered minor damage. No injuries were reported. Haynes was cited for failure to control, and failure to reinstate. TRAFFIC CRASH: Michael C. Kimberly of Sabina, Ohio was traveling southbound on the I-71 exit ramp at S R 435 when Kimberly failed to maintain assure clear distance ahead striking a motor vehicle in the rear operated by Wendy J. Osborn of Lynchburg, Ohio. The vehicles suffered minor damages. No injuries were reported. Kimberly was cited for assure clear distance ahead. ASSAULT: James Hawk of Washington CH, OH reported while at the Village Pump Bar in Jeffersonville he was assaulted by a known male subject. Shannon Hunt was arrested in the incident. LITTERING: Mike Thompson of Washington CH, Oh reported while mowing the grass at his residence he located several items of trash. The incident is under investigation. MENACING: A report was taken from a female concerning her receiving harassing and threatening text messages from a known female. Prosecution was declined in the matter and they only wanted a deputy to contact the suspect and advise her to cease her actions. 08-21-14 TRAFFIC CRASH: Aaron Lucas of Washington CH, Oh was traveling south on S.R 41 and lost control of his vehicle. Lucas traveled off the right side of the roadway overcorrected traveling off the left side of the roadway striking a tree. No injuries were reported. Lucas was cited for Failure to Control. CRIMINAL DAMAGING/ CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Brenda Merick of Washington CH, Oh reported person(s) unknown forcibly entered her residence causing damage. Merick reports nothing missing from inside the residence.

Deputies identified all parties involved and determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred. 08-20-14 DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Biddle Bl, in the Village of Bloomingburg on a domestic complaint. Sheriff s deputies identified all parties involved and determined no threats of violence or assault had occurred. TRAFFIC CRASH: Andrea Lyons of Jeffersonville, OH was following behind Ashley Berman of Washington CH, Oh on N. North St. Lyons failed to maintain assured clear distance ahead and struck the rear of Berman s vehicle while slowing for traffic turning onto Peddicord Ave. Lyons was issued a citation for Assured Clear Distance Ahead. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to US 22 on a domestic complaint. Sheriff s deputies identified all parties involved and determined no threats of violence or assault had occurred. TRAFFIC CRASH: David Self of Washington CH, OH was traveling west on Staunton Sugar Grove Rd when Self lost control of his vehicle. Self traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a gas meter in the yard of 2680 Staunton Sugar Grove Rd. No injuries were reported. Self was cited for Failure to Control. THEFT/ CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Danny Stinnett of Elizabeth KY, reports person(s) unknown caused damage to his semi tractor-trailer while parked on Allen removing diesel from the fuel tanks. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Main St, Good Hope on a domestic complaint. Deputies identified all parties involved who advised they were in a verbal argument only. Both parties advised no assault or threats of violence had occurred. FOUND PROPERTY: Lindsay Elliott of Washington CH, Oh reported she located a purse along the roadway. Deputies responded taking possession of the purse placing it into property for safekeeping. 08-19-14 DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Sheriff s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on IR 71. Deputy requested the sheriff s office K9 to respond. The K9 alerted to the vehicle. After a search of the vehicle deputies located drug paraphernalia inside. BREAKING & ENTERING/ THEFT: Randy Farmer of Washington CH, OH reported person(s) unknown entered a trailer on his property and removed items from inside. THEFT: Amanda Whiteside of Washington CH, OH reported person(s) unknown removed her dog from her residence.

FOUND PROPERTY: Sheriff s deputies responded to Loves truck stop on reports of found property. Deputies recovered the property and located the owner returning it to the owner. 08-18-14 DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Chelsea Johnson of Mt Sterling, OH reported a known male subject followed her to her residence and engaged in a verbal exchange using obscene language towards her. PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Sheriff s deputies located and served a protection order issued by the court. The respondent surrendered firearms to the deputies pursuant to guidelines set forth in the protection order. CRIMINAL TRESPASS/THEFT: Ellen Miller, of Bloomingburg reported sometime overnight two unlocked vehicles parked outside her residence were entered and property was removed. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: A New Holland resident reported inadvertently sending an email to an known subject. That resulted in numerous calls and emails from the known subject and another acquaintance. The complainant requested that the other parties be contacted and directed to cease all contact. TRAFFIC CRASH: Robert Freel, Harrison, Oh reported he was west bound on US 22 near Clemens Rd in his semi-tractor trailer, when he traveled of the right side of the roadway. The trailer subsequently overturned, dragging the tractor with it. The entire unit came to rest off the roadway. The vehicle was loaded and had to be unloaded by hand before being up-righted and removed. The vehicle sustained heavy damage. Mr. Freel was cited for failure to control. 08-17-14 HIT SKIP TRAFFIC CRASH: Deputies responded to a reported one vehicle rollover auto crash on Green Rd in Paint Twp. Upon arriving at the scene no occupants were located at the scene. Additionally, the owner of the vehicle has not been located. The vehicle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene. MISSING PERSON: Rosa Johnston, of Jeffersonville reported her 80 year old husband, William Johnston departed their church near Octa, in the family vehicle and had not returned. Mr. Johnston reportedly suffers from dementia. The area was searched, teletype messages were sent state wide, and a Senior Alert was issued. Mr. Johnston was later located by law enforcement authorities in Newark, Ohio. FOUND PROPERTY: Employees of Woodbury Outfitters reported finding a syringe in the parking lot of their business. The item was collected and disposed of. BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT/CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Employees of the Jeffersonville Swim Club reported overnight persons(s) unknown forced entry to the swim club and removed property.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to Bloomingburg on a reported verbal dispute between a male and female. Contact was made with both parties and neither claimed any threats or physical injury. NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies assisted a citizen with a complaint involving a neighbor s camera. The neighbor was contacted and directed to reposition the camera. 08-16-14 BURGLARY/THEFT: Deputies responded to the David Duff residence and upon arrival the front door was found open. Once the homeowners arrived, they found property to be missing. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: A Washington CH resident reported receiving numerous unwanted telephone calls from a known male and requests the calls cease. Contact was made with the male subject in Dayton at the phone number provided by the complainant. The Dayton resident was advised of the complaint and directed to cease the calls. He also requested he not be contacted by the Washington CH resident. ENDANGERING CHILDREN: Deputies were contacted concerning possible child abuse. The guardian was contacted as well as a neighbor. No evidence of abuse could be substantiated at that time. The complainant was referred to Children s Services if she wished to pursue the complaint further. RAPE: Deputies received a report of a sexual assault that occurred in Fayette County. The incident remains under investigation. 08-15-14 08-15-14 ASSAULT: Two incidents over the weekend at the Ranch of Opportunity led to the filing of charges against eight juvenile clients at the facility. The first incident, reported on Friday afternoon, August 15, 2014 at 3:13 p.m., resulted in minor injuries to Ranch of Opportunity staff members. According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, an employee of the Ranch of Opportunity contacted his office reporting that staff members were assaulted by a 17 year-old juvenile client at the facility. A subsequent investigation by deputies revealed that the juvenile client became involved in an altercation at the facility with other clients. Ranch of Opportunity staff members intervened to stop the altercation and were reportedly assaulted by the 17 year-old client. Some staff members reported minor injuries, including one staff member that was treated and released from the Fayette County Memorial Hospital. The 17 year-old was cited into the Fayette County Juvenile Court on four counts of Delinquency by Assault. Later on Friday evening at 10:04 p.m., the Fayette County Sheriff s Office received fire alarm activation from the Ranch of Opportunity. Shortly thereafter, a 9-1-1 call to the Fayette County Sheriff s Office by a staff member of the Ranch of Opportunity requested deputies respond to the facility for a large physical altercation involving numerous clients. It was also reported that some of the clients had fled from the facility on foot. Sheriff Stanforth and his deputies responded to the facility and in a short time, with the assistance of staff members, located and accounted for all clients of the Ranch facility. Sheriff Stanforth and his deputies identified the juvenile clients involved in the physical altercation and assisted Ranch of Opportunity personnel in the peaceful movement of the juvenile clients to their respective living quarters. A total of eight juvenile clients ranging

from age 13 to age 17 were identified as participants in the physical altercation and were subsequently cited into the Fayette County Juvenile Court for Delinquency by Disorderly Conduct. All juveniles clients identified in the two incidents will later appear before Fayette County Probate/Juvenile Court Judge David Bender to answer to the complaints filed against them by deputies. FORGERY: A Bloomingburg resident reported receiving a letter containing a handwritten contract for a personal loan from a known subject. The reportee stated she never signed any such document and that any signatures contained are forged. TELECOMMUNICATIONS HARASSMENT: A report was made by a Bloomingburg resident on unwanted messages being received from a known subject. The caller requested that the other party be contacted and directed to cease contact, which was done. The other party also requested not to be contacted. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Michael Gray, of Houston TX, reported his rental vehicle was damaged while parked at the Hampton Inn. The vehicle is owned by Hertz Rental. MENACING: Tyler Althouse, of Jeffersonville reported he received a threating message from a known male subject. Mr. Althouse declined charges however requested that the suspect be contacted and instructed to cease contact with him. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Jennifer Cornell of Washington CH, OH reported subjects caused damage to the water lines on a mobile home located in Bloomingburg. Investigation is continuing. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Main St, Good Hope on a domestic complaint. Contact was made with female who advised she was in a verbal argument with a known male subject. The female was uncooperative with deputies during the investigation. Deputies located no signs of physical assault on the victim. 08-14-14 TAKING IDENTITY OF ANOTHER: Janice Bell of Bloomingburg, Oh reported person(s) unknown used her identity to file a tax return. PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Sheriff s deputy responded to a Fayette County address to make pick up of several firearms after a protection order was served by Washington Municipal Court. Several firearms were taken pursuant to the order and placed in property for safekeeping. TRAFFIC CRASH: Miranda Morgan of Bloomingburg, OH was traveling south on S.R 38 and lost control of her vehicle. Morgan traveled off the left side of the roadway into the ditch coming to rest in a corn field. Morgan was treated on scene by Fayette County EMS. Washington Fire & Sheriff s Rescue units also responded to the scene. Morgan was cited for Failure to Control.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Heather Seitz of Bloomingburg, Oh reported a known subject came to her residence several times. The subject was contacted by law enforcement and advised not to return to the Seitz residence. 08-13-14 TRAFFIC CRASH: Karl Thomson of Columbus, Oh was traveling North on IR 71 near the 65 mile post and struck a tire in the roadway. Thomson s vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash. No injuries were reported. OBSTRUCTING: A Sheriff s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on S.R 38 near Lewis Rd. The driver of the vehicle gave the deputy false information in reference to his identity. An arrest warrant was issued for Corey Keeton who was later located and transported to the Fayette County Jail. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Rebecca Bendele of Sabina, OH reports while in a verbal argument with a known male subject she was assaulted. Markus Costilow, age 51 was charged with domestic violence and transported to the Fayette County Jail. 08-12-14 TRAFFIC CRASH: Tatang Hermawan of Metairie, LA was attempting to drive in the yard of a residence on S.R 38 when Hermawan struck an object causing minor damage to his vehicle. No injuries were reported. TRAFFIC CRASH: Robert Ingram of Cedarbluff, MS was backing his semi tractor-trailer on the parking lot of Flying J on S.R 41 and collided with a parked semi tractor-trailer operated by Yelma Mekonn of Dallas, TX. Both vehicles sustained minor damage in the crash. No injuries were reported. THEFT: Terry Marshall of Washington CH, OH reported a known subject removed various items from his property without permission. The incident is under investigation. FOUND PROPERTY: Sheriff s deputies were dispatched to Tanger Outlet Mall on report of found property. The property was taken by deputy and placed in property for safekeeping. GROSS SEXUAL IMPOSITION: Deputies received a report from a female who reported she was touched inappropriately by a known male. The case is under investigation. UNRULY: Crystal Carr of Washington CH, OH reported unknown juveniles were placing rocks in the roadway on Bogus Rd. TRAFFIC CRASH: Aaron Chandler of Peebles, Oh was traveling north on S.R 41 near Ghormley Rd and lost control of his vehicle. Chandler traveled off the left side of the roadway striking a culvert and utility pole. Chandler was transported by EMS to a medical facility for treatment of injuries. The vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Chandler was cited for Failure to Control.

08-11-14 DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to White Oak Rd on a domestic complaint. Upon arrival deputies identified all parties involved and determined no assault or threats of violence had occurred. DRUG ABUSE: Sheriff s deputy while checking a disabled vehicle on US 35 detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search was conducted of the vehicle and several baggies of marijuana were located. Michael Condon of Vina, CA was charged in the incident. DISORDERLY CONDUCT BY INTOXICATION: Deputies responded to the area of Vine St. in Jeffersonville on a report of a disturbance. The Deputies located Larry Maag, of Jeffersonville and determined that he was the source of the disturbance. Mr. Maag was found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He was arrested and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail. THEFT: An employee of Tommy Hilfiger in Jeffersonville, Ohio reported two unknown females concealed items of clothing and departed the store without paying. TRAFFIC CRASH: Ashley Walters of Jeffersonville, Ohio was traveling northbound in the 11000 block of State Route 41 when Walters vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. Walters vehicle then struck a utility pole before striking a tree. Minor injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. Walters was cited for Failure to Control. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: A report was made by a Washington C.H., resident who has been receiving unwanted text messages. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to Main St. in the Village of Milledgeville on a domestic dispute. Upon completion of the investigation it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred. 08-10-14 DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Main St, Jeffersonville Oh on a domestic complaint. Upon arrival officer identified all parties involved and determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred. FOUND PROPERTY: Sheriff s deputies were dispatched to Tanger Outlet Mall on report of found property. The property was taken by deputy and placed in property for safekeeping. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Tracy Callender, of Washington CH, reported she became involved in a verbal argument with her neighbors concerning their children. No threats were reported and all parties were referred to the Solicitor if they wished to pursue charges. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jamisha McCray, Washington CH reported while attempting to park in a slot at the Tanger Mall, she struck another vehicle that was parked and unoccupied. That vehicle was owned by Tammy Franz, Upper Sandusky, Oh. Minor damage was sustained to both vehicles.

TRAFFIC CRASH: Alicia Luttrell, of Sabina reported she was east bound on SR 435 in the left turn lane to enter the Tanger Mall, when she failed to observe that the vehicle in front of her had slowed. Luttrell s vehicle struck the rear of the other vehicle, driven by Guyen Nguyn, of Florence, Ky. Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Luttrell was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead. TRAFFIC CRASH: Elizabeth Stahl, of Jeffersonville reported she was entering the Tanger Mall on Factory Shops Blvd, when she failed to observe the vehicle in front of her stop. Ms. Stahl subsequently struck the rear of that vehicle, driven by Heather Robinette, of Washington CH, Oh. Minor damage was sustained to both vehicles. Ms. Stahl was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead. THEFT: An employee of American Eagle Outfitters, Jeffersonville, Ohio reported that a company owned I-pad had been removed from the store. BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT: Jack Wisecup of Sabina, Ohio reported that person(s) unknown entered his barn and removed tractor weights and batteries. 08-09-14 THEFT: Pamela Robinette of Washington CH, Oh reported person(s) unknown removed gasoline from her vehicle sometime overnight. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to a domestic incident on W. High St in the Village of Jeffersonville. Upon the completion of the investigation it was determined that no violence or threat of violence occurred. BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT: Allen McElwain of Washington C.H., OH reported that person(s) unknown entered his barn and removed several items from inside. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Sandra Kelley of Greenfield, Ohio reported that while her vehicle was parked at her residence person(s) unknown caused damage to the vehicle. THEFT: Dawn Rodgers reported over the last several months property has been stolen from her residence. Several of the items taken have been located and returned. The investigation is continuing at this time. 08-08-14 FIRE: Deputies and the Jefferson Twp Fire Department responded to a report of a car fire on I- 71 at the 62 mm. Upon arrival it was determined that a piece of plastic had dislodged in the engine compartment and started burning. The driver of the vehicle, Robert Hollingsworth used a jug of water he had in the vehicle to extinguish the fire prior to the arrival of the Fire Department.

DRUG ABUSE: Sheriff s deputy conducted a traffic stop on I.R 71 due to expired registration. During the traffic stop the Sheriff s office K9 Ben conducted a sniff of the vehicle alerting on the vehicle. After a search of the vehicle marijuana was located inside. THEFT BY DECEPTION: Employees at Speedway, Allen Rd, reported a customer presented a Visa Gift Card for payment of a purchase. While processing the transaction the clerk noticed that the last four digits of the Gift Card number that appeared on the register screen did not match those on the card. The clerk informed the customer that the card was fraudulent and seized the card. The customer departed prior to the Deputies arrival. 08-07-14 MENACING: Scott Runnels of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that an unknown juvenile threatened his 10 year old daughter. 08-06-14 TRAFFIC CRASH: Cameron Miller of Waterville, OH was traveling north on Harmony Rd and lost control of his vehicle. Miller traveled off the right side of the roadway striking the ditch coming to rest in a soybean field. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained minor damage in the crash. Miller was cited for Failure to Control. FIRE: Deputies responded to a reported on Upper Jamestown Rd on reports of a vacant house fire. Jefferson Township fire and Fayette County EMS were on the scene. THEFT: An employee of Carters reported several unknown subjects came inside the business and shoplifted. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Reid Rd, Jeffersonville on reports of a domestic incident. Deputies made contact identifying all parties involved and determined no assault or threats of violence had occurred. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Tessa Reno reported she was assaulted by a known male. Kyne Reno, age 28 of Washington CH was arrested and charged with domestic violence. RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE/THEFT/ CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Sheriff s deputies responded to Delaware St on reports of suspicious vehicle. Upon checking the vehicle and contacting the owner it was determined the vehicle had been stolen from Madison County. During the theft of the vehicle, the vehicle was damaged and items were found to be missing from inside the vehicle. CASUALTY: Sheriff s deputies responded to the Hampton Inn on reports of a male subject that entered the business with visible injuries. Fayette Co EMS was called to the scene and transported the subject. The incident is still under investigation. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jermaine Hargrave of Xenia, OH was traveling east on US 35 and lost control of his vehicle. Hargrave traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a guardrail. Fayette Co EMS responded to the scene for treatment of Hargrave s injuries. Hargrave was later

flown to a medical facility for further treatment of injuries. The vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Mercedes Williams of Washington CH, OH reported while in an argument with a known male subject she was assaulted. Zachariah Saxour, age 31 was arrested and charged with domestic violence. BURGALRY/ THEFT: Richard Gilmerr of Washington CH, OH reported person(s) unknown entered his residence and removed property from inside. FIRE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Liberty Pl, in Bloomingburg on reports of a house fire. The Red Cross was also called in to assist the family. Other agencies at the fire scene included the BPM Joint Fire District, Washington CH Fire Department, and Fayette County EMS. 08-05-14 TRAFFIC CRASH: Tobin White of Greenfield, OH was traveling east on S.R 753 and lost control of his vehicle. White traveled off the left side of the roadway striking a guardrail. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained moderate damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. White was arrested for OVI and Failure to Control. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE/DISORDERLY CONDUCT BY FIGHTING: Sheriff s Deputies were dispatched to Lane Transportation on a disturbance complaint. After investigation, George Lane of Washington CH, was charged with domestic violence and disorderly conduct. Cynthia Lane- Grooms of Washington CH, was charged with domestic violence, and Raymond Grooms of Washington CH, was charged with disorderly conduct. THEFT: An employee of the Fayette County Sanitary Services reported sometime over night persons unknown entered his parked county vehicle and removed several hand tools. THEFT: Donald Morris of Leesburg, OH reported person(s) unknown entered onto his property and removed several items. UNRULY/ASSIST AGENCY: Sheriff s deputies received a complaint of a runaway female juvenile from Canal Winchester and her possible whereabouts. Deputies located the female juvenile who was returned to the local jurisdiction. 08-04-14 MENACING: A Jeffersonville resident reported receiving threatening messages from a known subject. The complainant declined charges and requested that the suspect be contacted and instructed to cease contact with her, which was completed. POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/ DRUGS OF ABUSE: A Juvenile Court Probation Officer reported one of their probationers were in possession of drug paraphernalia and drugs of abuse. The items were seized.

CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Retha Payton of Washington CH, Ohio reported a known person had damaged an item while at her residence. BURGLARY/ THEFT: Myron Lee Brown of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported a known person removed several items from his cousin s residence. MENACING: A Leesburg, Ohio resident reported for the past month she had been harassed by a known male person. The reportee declined prosecution at the time of the report. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to a domestic incident in the 3000 block of Ford Rd. Upon the completion of the investigation it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to the area of State Route 38 of a domestic incident in a vehicle. Deputies later located the vehicle on Temple St in Washington C.H., Ohio. Both parties were identified and it was determined through the investigation that no threats of violence or an assault had occurred. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Christopher West of Bloomingburg, Ohio reported that person(s) unknown had caused damage to the siding at his residence. THEFT: Sheridan Smith of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that person(s) unknown had removed steel beams from his property. BURGLARY/THEFT: Brittany Pedrick of Washington C.H., Ohio reported that person(s) unknown had entered her residence and removed personal property. 08-03-14 FOUND PROPERTY: Ronald Bevers, of Washington CH turned in a set of car keys he had found. The owner of the keys were identified & returned. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies were dispatched to Biddle Blvd in the Village of Bloomingburg on a report of a domestic incident. Upon their investigation it was determined that no threats of violence or violence had occurred. CRIMINAL SIMULATION/THEFT: Employees of Adidas Outlet in Jeffersonville, Ohio reported that an unknown male made two separate purchases for items in the store. Upon the male departing it was determined that the money used was counterfeit. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Jowanda Wiseman of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported that person(s) unknown broke wooden frames that were on her property. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to an address on Peddicord Avenue on a reported verbal dispute. The parties denied any physical altercation or threats of harm.

TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Michelle R. Snider of Washington CH, Ohio reported she and her husband have been receiving numerous unwanted telephone calls from a known subject. 08-02-14 TRAFFIC CRASH: Brian W. Sullivan of Ehrhardt, South Carolina was backing his commercial vehicle on the lot of the Flying J and backed into tractor-trailer operated by Christopher D. Antwine of McDonough, Georgia. The vehicles suffered minor damage. No injuries were reported. THEFT: An employee of the Village of Bloomingburg reported person(s) unknown stole utilities by turning the water on at the Bloomingburg Trailer Park. INTERFERENCE WITH CHILD CUSTODY: A Spring, Texas resident reported his children were being kept from him. The children were located and returned to Shelton without incident. TRAFFIC CRASH: Anthony Penwell of Peebles, Ohio was traveling southbound on State Route 753 when Penwell s vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a fence and a tree before coming to a stop in a stream. No injuries were reported. The vehicle sustained moderate damage. DISORDERLY CONDUCT BY INTOXICATION: Employees of the Waffle House restaurant reported a disturbance in the business involving several customers. Upon arrival of the Deputies, Drake Massie, of Jamestown was identified as one of the customers involved in the disturbance and was determined to be intoxicated. While investigating the incident Mr. Massie continued to yell obscenities despite repeated warnings by the Deputy to cease. Mr. Massie was subsequently arrested on this charge and transported to the Fayette Co. Jail and charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication. TRAFFIC CRASH: Deputies responded to a reported one vehicle auto crash on SR 41 North, in the 16000 block. Upon arriving and investigating the crash the Deputy determined that Billy Morris, of Jeffersonville was north bound on SR 41, when he went off the left side of the roadway, overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle, sliding sideways in the roadway, and into the right hand ditch where the vehicle overturned. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. The driver was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and was subsequently arrested. Mr. Morris was charged with Failure to Control in addition to the OVI charges. 08-01-14 TRAFFIC CRASH: Edward Liggett of Mentor, Ohio was traveling eastbound on State Route 435 and began to turn left onto Allen Rd. when Andrew Anderson of Wash C.H., Ohio was traveling westbound on State Route 435. Liggett turned into the path of Anderson s vehicle when the two vehicles collided. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. OVI: An incident of road rage was reported to deputies that occurred in the area of State Route 435. Deputies patrolled the area and found the second vehicle that matched the description and the registration provided. Deputies stopped the vehicle on Jenks Rd near Edgefield Rd where the

driver was identified as Chad Knauff of Washington C.H., Ohio. Deputies detected an odor of alcohol on the driver and after began a series of sobriety test at which time Knauff was arrested for OVI. TRAFFIC CRASH: Shane R. Silvers of Ringgold, Georgia was traveling northbound on I-71 at the 67 mile post when Silvers failed to maintain control of his motor vehicle. Silvers traveled off of the west side of the roadway, crossing the grass median and crossed the three southbound lanes. Silver s continued on off of the west side of the roadway into the ditch, striking the ODOT boundary fence. Silvers suffered non-life threatening injuries during the crash and was transported by squad to Fayette County Memorial Hospital. Silvers was cited for failure to control. TRAFFIC CRASH: Darrell W. Russell of Washington CH, Ohio was improperly backing into driveway at 7100 S R 753 when Russell struck another motor vehicle operated by Thomas L. Ball of South Salem, Ohio. The vehicles suffered minor damages. No injuries were reported. BURGLARY/ THEFT: Kyle D. Puffinbarger of Jeffersonville, Ohio reported sometime during the morning hours persons unknown entered his residence and removed numerous items. FOUND PROPERTY: A passer-by reported he located a purse in the roadway at Burnett-Perrill and Cline Rds. The purse was retrieved and the owner was identified as Jacqueline Peelle, Washington CH. The purse was returned to the owner. NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Deputies responded to Biddle Blvd in Bloomingburg on a reported verbal argument between a landlord and tenant. There were no threats or physical altercation reported by either party. Both parties were advised to cease contact or charges would result.
