Fortis Franchise Fee will increase from 3.5% to 4% effective January 2016. Fees collected are held in reserve for upgrades to the Holden Playground. Councillor Giebelhaus was appointed to the Neighborhood Watch committee. Projects to be completed this year: minor road patch, one sidewalk corner repair, outhouse upgrades at Sports Grounds & Campground, rest area table added to Village entrance. Members of the public are welcome to attend any Council meeting. If a person or a delegation wishes to address Council on a specific issue, please contact the Village Office by 12:00 noon on Thursday, the week before the meeting (agenda deadline) with your request in writing. PAGE 4 EDC HOLDEN TIMES Holden Flu Clinic October 28, 2015 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Community Hall BEAVER REGIONAL ARTS SOCIETY Sept 20th we sponsored the Terry Fox run, looked after registration & provided refreshments. 12 people took part and $1,300 was raised. Thank you to participants, workers & Holden Lodge for allowing us to use their facility. Special thanks to Susan Tymchak who has been our run organizer for a number of years & to her family members who participated in support of Susan s sister Betty, who is undergoing treatment for cancer. First show in the 2015/16 Season Series is The Wardens on Sun November 15, 2 pm. Season Series tickets are on sale now; prices are the same as last year: $65 adult / $20 child 12 & under. This is for 4 shows. Individual tickets are $25 adult / $8 child. This year we have Flex Tickets same price as Season Series & you get 4 tickets that you can use for any show, either singly or in any combination you want! E.g. use 1 ticket for 4 shows or 4 tickets for one show if you want to bring 3 other people with you; or any combination that works for you. Note: Season & Flex tickets are only sold until December 31st. Supper is available at the Community Hall after each show for $15.
