Note: This is NOT the main UMBC campus> Class Times: Handouts: 8:00 am 6:00 pm TUESDAY through FRIDAY (The classroom will open at 7:00 am for registration on the first day. Daily hours reflect lunch and breaks. Plan to arrive PRIOR to 8AM each day) In an effort to control the cost of registration fees and reduce the waste of unused handouts, we are offering participants the following options: (1) a hard copy of handouts ($10 fee) ~or ~ (2) a specific website where you will be able to view the handouts provided to us by the presenters. If you did not make this selection on your registration form, please email ehspace@umbc.edu with your selection. *Please note that not all presentations will include handouts. Travel / Hotels: bwtech@umbc is conveniently located within a short drive from Baltimore- Washington International Airport (BWI) and the AMTRAK and MARC rail stations. Driving directions are enclosed. A list of hotels conveniently located to the course is included. There is not any public transportation between the airport hotels and the course site; you will need a rental car.
Local Weather: Baltimore weather is variable in October/November. It is recommended that you check the weather before packing. Catering: Coffee, tea and water will be made available to you throughout the course. Please feel free to bring your own snacks/refreshments to class. There is a cafeteria at the site on the 3 rd floor. Course Information: The October/November course will incorporate the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) curriculum. We will be following the NCCP guidelines for Paramedic Refreshers. Please note the registration deadline for the ITLS course is October 24, 2018 and the registration deadline for the ACLS and PALS courses is October 25, 2018. Directions: 1. Take I 95 to I 195 (exit 47B) towards Catonsville. 2. Continue on I 195 WEST. DO NOT GO EAST ON I 195 TOWARDS BWI AIRPORT. 3. Stay in the middle lane and go PAST the UMBC exit on the right until you come to the traffic light. 4. Turn left at light onto ROLLING ROAD (Rt. 166). Proceed south towards Arbutus. 5. Go one half (1/2) mile to sign for ROLLING ROAD and turn right. (There is also a sign to GUN ROAD. ) If you start to go over a bridge, you ve gone too far. 6. Road immediately forks. Take the left hand fork to the TECH CENTER. 7. Bear left at the split and park in the lot in front of the building. Enter the doors near the flagpoles.
