Discussion: Barbara discussed purchasing a laptop for club s financials for use by the Treasurer that would include Quick Books, and Windows 10. President requested approval to spend $400.00 for a laptop. Jointly, membership suggested increasing the dollar amount, allowing for extras if needed, up to $700.00. Gayla made a motion to allow $600.00 for laptop, then she amended her motion to a $700.00 allowance for the purchase. Motion to Approve: Gayla Robles, 2 nd Mindy Kane. Four (4) members abstained, majority approved. OLD BUSINESS: August 20th Club Ride All Club Beach ride is sponsored by Bonita Valley with a 10:00 am ride out, followed by a BBQ lunch. Los Vaqueros Horse Camp: Sept. 29-Oct. 3, 2016 with Catered Dinner on Oct 1 st, Saturday evening. Barbara thanked members for filling out the Camping Registration form. Barbara reminded membership that corrals are only reserved upon payment. Camping with no horses: $15 per day / Catered dinner: $5 each person / Day Riders: $10 per day. Please arrive no earlier than 2:30 pm to camp. Julie and Theresa will be directing parking. Please try to trailer and carpool. Deadline to reserve for Saturday s catered dinner is Sept 10, 2016. Email dinner reservation to LFR at Gmail account, lakesidefrontierriders@gmail.com. Corrals available for rental will be limited to 40 due to fire season concerns and evacuation purposes. A waiting list will be complied after 40 corrals have been sold. If requesting to be placed on the wait list, please designate this on your reservation form. Do not include a check. If a member cancels their reservation, they can sell the corral to a member on the designated waiting list. The Club will let members know if and when corral(s) are made available and who has first choice. Discussion: Following a lively debate, it was decided that because of the high cost to LFR ($20 per meal) for the catered dinner that only members are invited. If you currently have a single membership, you are welcome to change it to a family membership at this time by paying the additional $5.00. Family memberships include you, your spouse/partner and/ or minor children. Please fill out an LFR application form and be sure to have the new adult member sign the release of liability portion and submit it with the balance owed. This must be done prior to September 10th, as that is the deadline for reserving for the catered dinner. Photo Release Forms: Please sign if you want the club to have permission to use your photos. Questions regarding the release were answered. It is needed for copyright infringement protection and the releases are active until the member revokes it. Poker Ride ~ Saturday November 5, 2016. Barbara confirmed to members that LFR is on Tumbleweed s calendar. She encouraged members to start seeking raffle items. They do NOT have to be horse related. Please only gently used items, no junk. Gift cards welcomed! Donation letters were available to members. Food will be prepared by Brian and Julie Murphy.

Poker Ride (continued). Vendors: We agreed to not have too many as it takes away from our raffle. Jodi Davis will come back. Barbara Hughes will ask Dave Morrison, and Patti Karcher to ask her vendor. Jodi Davis suggested we put a value on donations from Vendors. We set the amount @ $ 35.00 $40.00. Last year s Poker ride donation list will be emailed out to members to help with soliciting items for this year. Marilyn has a contact at Mary s Tack in Del Mar to get a donation. Cindy McKievick will hold the donations at her home until the event. To arrange drop off of items, if not brought to the meetings, please give her a call at #619-997-4530. Please have your items marked with the donor s name. Christmas Party ~ Saturday December 3, 2016. Cindy McKievick reported on venues for the Christmas Party: The Rodeo grounds are unavailable. Cindy explained costs of VFW, deposit, No BYOB, LFR would have to buy drinks from VFW Hall and pay for their bartender, and pay for security. Cindy was unable to get further information without filling out a rental agreement/application. Lakeside Community Center was receptive to the rental of the Moreno room. We can use the outside grass area for eating and socializing, but no alcohol consumption is allowed outside. LFR can bring beer/wine to the party. A diagram of tables/chairs set up for 90 people was shown, along with pictures of the room. Suggestion to rent a larger room for 250 people, but usual attendance is 50-60 people and Moreno room can handle 90. LFR does not expect any more than that. Hazy Meadows was suggested as a possible venue for the party. LFR would have to cover the cost of tent(s) rental, $250.00 per portable potty rental, lighting, portable heaters, tables & chairs, setup and break down. There was a suggestion to hold the party in daytime. It was also noted rain could affect this venue choice. Cindy McKievick will check out Hazy Meadows venue for future events. Members determined it was too late to consider Hazy Meadows for this year s party, but consider it as an option for next year. Lakeside Community Center has been reserved. $475 total cost for facility. Regular cost per hour rental $ 90.00, Nonprofit discount of $30.00, our cost will be $60.00 /hr. There is a $75.00 set up fee for tables & chairs. Club will furnish Ham and Turkey, with membership bringing side dishes and desserts.
