Minutes for HVMTC General Meeting June 7, 2017 Held at Charlie s, Escondido Attendance: Doug Lested, Mac & Diane MacPherson, John & Karen Pepe, Les & Barbara Von Nordheim, Dale & Eleanor Stanfield, Tony Bowker, Craig & Barbara French, Vic & Stephanie Terrell, Ken & Merleen Magers, Chuck & Leona Borough, Jennie & Jeff Bowen, Alma & Julian Gonzales (22) Start Time: 7:00 p.m. Doug started the meeting. Alma led the Pledge of Allegiance. Visitors tonight: We have four new members! Jennie and Jeff from Oceanside were at the Fallbrook car show, saw the brass cars and want to buy a Touring. They will be retiring to Florida in three years and meanwhile want to get out on the road. Alma and Julian from Fallbrook were looking at Jeeps, but saw what has been determined to be a TT and bought it, know nothing about it and want to learn more. Welcome! President s Report: Recap of the tour to the Wakeman s residence in Ramona. If you get a chance to go there someday, don t pass it up. The steep hill in may have done in Doug s T wishbone, but all good, no injuries! The caterers made over 80 pizzas. The Pala/Fallbrook car show was a good car show, they had 22 brass cars. Treasurer s Report: Diane reported we had $1,278.75 in the bank, a few families still owe their dues. Secretary s report: Minutes were approved Tours: Discussed various options of places to go June 17 th - Batiquitos Lagoon tour was postponed until possibly August or September. The Orange Empire is having a tour in Temecula on that day and the phone number was given for those who may want to attend. June 23 rd Escondido is having a Cruising Grand that is about the evolution of the Ford 4 p.m. Lots to do in June if you are so inclined. Deer Park Winery has something this Sunday July 15 th Tour to John Wilson collection in Fallbrook. Should be a nice tour, leaving out of the Performing Arts Center meet at 9, depart at 9:30 August 19 th Potential Camp Pendleton tour, pending Doug s connections with the Navy and Mechanical Museum coming through. If the tour doesn t happen, we may go to the Batiquitos Lagoon on this date. September 9 th - TBD location October 7 th Pre-run for a tour later in the month put on by the HCCA club, out of the La Mesa, Balboa Park area. Different skits (New York to Paris) at different stops, sounds like fun. Mac is looking for volunteers out of the Library, PLEASE! October 21 st The actual run of the tour pre-run on the 7 th. October 21-22 MTFCSD Speedster run out of Jacumba, CA The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 Opportunity drawing of $25.00 was won by Chuck.
