13 th February 2019 Dear Parent/Guardian, As our trip to Italy is only weeks away, I would like to confirm some more details with you to help you to prepare! There will be an information evening on Thursday 7 th March at 5.30pm to give you the opportunity to ask any questions about the trip. Travelling and flight information Sunday 7 th April Students to meet outside of school in time for the bus to leave at 3.30am. It is carried within one transparent, re-sealable plastic bag with a capacity not exceeding 1 litre; the dimensions for which must not exceed 20cm x 20cm (8 x 8 ). The contents of the plastic bag must fit comfortably and the bag must be completely closed. The plastic bag must be carried separately from hand baggage. The person is responsible for providing their own plastic bag. Plastic bags that do not meet the correct criteria will not be allowed. Medicines & special dietary products, such as baby food vital for the trip. You may be asked for a medical letter or proof of authenticity. Please be aware bottles and packaging may need to be opened during screening by airport security. Accommodation- Hotel Angelina, a small, family run hotel in the quiet location of St Agnello di Sorrento, with 27 simple and comfortable rooms. Full board including continental breakfast, packed lunches and evening meal.

Students will need to bring 15 Euros in a named envelope which will be handed into the hotel on arrival as a security deposit. This will be given back to the students before they travel back to the UK. They can use this money on the inbound journey home. Hoodies There is an opportunity to purchase an Italy hoodie through parent pay, however this is not compulsory. The cost is 22 and the students need to complete an order form and hand it in to Mrs Williams in the office. You will be given a booklet of information at our parents evening on Thursday 7 th March. This will have all contact details and a detailed itinerary for the trip. Who is going? Purpose of the trip Travel Arrangements Coach Journey Flight Group Leader and first aider L. Anderson L. Webb and D. Palmer To visit Geographical sites of interest and take in the breath taking scenery of Sorrento! Sunday 7 th April -Meet at Bishop Barrington School at 3.15am to leave by 3.30am. -Arrive at Manchester by 6.15am. -Flight LS 947 departs at 8.15am and arrives at Naples at 12.20pm local time. Wednesday 10 th April -Flight LS 948 departs at 12.20pm and will arrive at Manchester at 2.35pm. -Arrive back at Bishop Barrington School by approximately 6pm. (We will keep you updated through the school Facebook page) -Students can use their 15 Euros security money for refreshments for the return journey. -Please bring entertainment for the journey such as a book or a magazine, and sufficient money in Stirling for the UK part of the journey. -All students must remain seated and use safety belts at all times while on the coach. Football shirts or T-shirts with potentially offensive slogans. -No pen knives, laser pens, lighters etc. Spending money up to 100 Euros Please provide your son/daughter with sufficient travel sickness tablets for the outward and return journey and ensure that your son/daughter has taken a tablet BEFORE the outward journey as staff cannot provide pupils with these. Likewise, staff are unable to supply paracetamol, plasters, aspirin, diarrhoea and hay fever tablets etc. Therefore please provide your child with these should you think they require them. Staff can keep medication on behalf of your son/daughter provided you have indicated this on the medical form. There will be a first aid kit available at all times.
