From the President: Gary Borgmann, CPD President, C.I. Chapter of ASPE From the President: Hello everyone! I hope things are going well for you! We had a great tech session in February. Jack Wintrow gave a very educational seminar on water treatment with regard to value engineering. One item to keep in mind, if your softener tank is 30 or larger, steel will probably be more cost effective. It was also interesting to learn that water with zero hardness is not really as corrosive as previously thought. The PH is more important to watch with low hardness water. Anyway, thank you to Jack and Culligan for sponsoring another luncheon seminar for us. For our March 15th meeting we have Laura Simons with Charlotte Pipe speaking to us about Cast Iron and PVC Piping and how to get the best value on your projects. Laura is their Field Tech Service Representative for the Mid-Atlantic States including Indiana and Ohio. You can see her full bio along with the program outline elsewhere in this issue. Our March 8th Fort Wayne meeting will have Royce Hams with Grundfos teaching us all about pump hydraulics. There s always room for a refresher in pumps. His PowerPoint looks very technical, so this one will be very educational. Again, more information can be found elsewhere in this issue. Unfortunately, by the time you get this, it may be too late to plan to attend. Either way, I hope to see you at one of the next ASPE meetings! Be sure to check our calendar for a list of events coming up. Among other things, we ll be hosting a Membership Appreciation event on May 5th at Victory Field. Pete s working on those details, but we plan to have a specific area just for our group. This will be a family event, so mark your calendars. Also, we are working with Delta to set up a program and tour. We ll have more info later. See you at the next meeting, Gary Borgmann, CPD Page 2

Hello Evansville ASPE! Sam Schenk, CPD President, Evansville Satellite Chapter of ASPE The trade show is just under a month away and we still have a few booths available. If you are interested in registering for a booth, contact Jacob Evans. We will also be offering PDH s for time spent at the trade show. Be sure to grab an evaluation form at the registration table to get credit for the PDH s. We also need volunteers to help with registration and in the kitchen. Contact Jacob Evans or myself if you would like to help. We had another great turn out last month for Robert Ciffizzari., who gave an informative presentation Rain Harvesting components and Storm water management on grease management. Only three more meetings are left and we are still doing a monthly drawing. The drawing is open to members and first time attendees, so please bring a co-worker or friend. Everyone should have received the invitation for our March meeting What to keep in mind when selecting materi- Evansville Monthly Lunch - N - Learn Date: March 22, 2018 Time: 11:30 a.m. CST Place: Red Fez, 6 Walnut Street, Evansville, IN (click here for a map) Topic: Value Engineering for C.I.
