October 16, 2016 0246 hours An officer stopped a vehicle on Wilmington Pike for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed that the 23 year old driver from Centerville did not have a valid driver s license. He was cited into Xenia Municipal Court for Driving under Suspension and given a verbal warning for No License Plate Light. October 16, 2016 1017 hours A subject reported a possible protection order violation. Investigation revealed that the victim lives in Sugarcreek Township. She was referred to their police department. October 16, 2016 1237 hours A resident on Hillcrest Drive reported unknown subjects had been entering his back yard during night time hours. There was damage to his lawn and an attempted entry into a barn on the victim s property. Report taken. October 16, 2016 1638 hours A subject turned in a cordless drill that he had found on East Franklin Street. The initials of the owner are marked on the drill. The rightful owner may claim the property, after proper identification. October 17, 2016 1034 hours A vehicle with four flat tires and expired registration was located on Brookwood Drive. The owner was issued a 10 day warning to remove the vehicle from the roadway. October 17, 2016 1740 hours An officer stopped a vehicle on Little Sugarcreek Road for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed that the 29 year old male driver from Kettering did not have a valid
driver s license. He was cited into Xenia Municipal Court for Driving under Suspension and Defective Muffler. October 17, 2016 2027 hours A driver s license was found at a business on State Route 725. The owner was contacted and picked up the property. October 18, 2016 0826 hours A juvenile had walked away from his school on East South Street. An officer located the 17 year old male on Upper Hillside Drive and transported him to the police department where he was later picked up by a relative. October 18, 2016 0928 hours A resident on North Belleview Drive reported that an unknown subject had opened a PayPal account in his name and made a $665.00 purchase. PayPal contacted the victim to collect on the debt. The victim was given advice about protecting his identity. Report taken to be forwarded to PayPal. October 18, 2016 1054 hours An attempted theft was reported at a business on State Route 725. The suspect was confronted by a customer and fled the store, leaving the merchandise in the parking lot. The suspect is believed to be from the Cleveland area. October 18, 2016 2119 hours An officer was dispatched to Clearview Drive on the report of a suspicious male ringing doorbells. Contact was made with the subject who advised his dog had gotten loose and he was attempting to locate the animal. He was letting his neighbors know that the dog is aggressive towards other animals. The dog was located on Clearview Drive the next morning
and with the assistance of Greene County Animal control it was captured. The owner was issued a written warning for Failure to Confine. October 19, 2016 1100 hours An officer observed a female driving a vehicle to a business on State Route 725. The officer had prior knowledge that the 30 year old driver does not have a valid driver s license. The officer cited the suspect into Xenia Municipal Court for Driving under Suspension. October 19, 2016 1511 hours Officers were dispatched to Bellemeade Drive on the report of a suspicious male walking through yards and between houses. Contact was made with the subject who advised he was a meter reader for a utility company. October 19, 2016 1921 hours Officers were dispatched to a business on State Route 725 on the report of a dispute. Investigation revealed that two siblings had a verbal argument but no physical violence had occurred. October 19, 2016 2319 hours An officer stopped a vehicle on Wilmington Dayton Road for an equipment violation. Investigation revealed that the 32 year old male driver from Bellbrook was impaired. He was taken into custody and charged with Operating a Vehicle while Intoxicated, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and No License Plate Light. October 20, 2016 0830 hours Officers were dispatched to Knob Hill Drive on the report of a burglary alarm activation. Upon arrival the homeowner told the officers that he had accidentally set off the alarm.
October 20, 2016 1042 hours A barking dog was reported on Poston Drive. Contact was made with the owner who was advised of the complaint and issued a warning for Barking Dog. October 20, 2016 1452 hours An officer stopped a vehicle on State Route 725 near Bayberry Cove Drive for a vehicle registration violation. Investigation revealed that the 29 year old female driver from Jamestown did not have a valid driver s license. The officer could smell an odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. The owner gave consent for officers to search the vehicle. Drug paraphernalia, suspected heroin capsules, and several stolen credit cards were located inside the vehicle. The driver was cited into Xenia Municipal Court for Driving under Suspension, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, two counts of Receiving Stolen Property, and Expired Registration. Additional drug charges are pending laboratory results. A passenger in the vehicle, a 34 year old male from Dayton, was cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Contact was made with the bank of the stolen credit cards. The bank advised that the cards were already deactivated. October 20, 2016 2105 hours Officers were dispatched to a business on North Lakeman Drive on the report of a burglary alarm activation. Upon arrival the officers located an open door. The business was checked and there were no signs of any criminal activity. A key holder arrived to re secure the building. October 21, 2016 0902 hours A 14 year old female reported that she had received harassing and threatening text messages from a person known to her. Investigation led to a 14 year old male being cited into Greene County Juvenile Court for Telecommunications Harassment and Menacing. October 21, 2016 1600 hours
A resident on McHenry Court reported that unknown subject(s) had opened several bank accounts in his name. The complainant had not suffered a loss of money. Advice was given to the complainant to protect himself from any future identity theft. October 21, 2016 1819 hours Officers were dispatched to Pondview Court after a 9 1 1 hang up call was received from the residence. Investigation revealed that a small child had been playing with the telephone. October 21, 2016 2300 hours A parked car was struck by another vehicle on Sugar Leaf Drive. The suspect left the scene. The suspect contacted the police department the next day, and the 54 year old female from Bellbrook was cited into Xenia Municipal Court for Failure to Control. October 22, 2016 1200 hours A resident on Kensington Drive reported that his political sign had been stolen from his yard. There are no suspects at this time. October 22, 2016 1624 hours Domestic Violence was reported on Marcia Drive. Investigation led to the arrest of a 37 year old male for Domestic Violence, Assault, and Child Endangerment.
