ITINERARY May 6 Monday USA - COPENHAGEN Day 1 Depart Minneapolis or your home city for an overnight flight across the Atlantic and the Norwegian Sea. Meals in flight. May 7 Tuesday COPENHAGEN Day 2 Upon arrival you will transfer to your hotel. The balance of the day is to relax and adjust to seven (7) hours change in time or explore Copenhagen. Dinner tonight is at the world famous Tivoli Gardens. (H-D) May 8 - Wednesday COPENHAGEN Day 3 Following breakfast our local guide takes us on a sightseeing tour in this fairytale capital including the Little Mermaid, the Saviors church, the royal Amalienborg Palace, the Stock Exchange, the City Hall and Many other highlights. This afternoon is free or you can join an optional tour of North Sealand. Tonight visit the glittering Tivoli Gardens for a great evening of wonderful attractions and entertainment. May 9 Thursday COPENHAGEN- SMÅLAND Day 4 Breakfast at our hotel. Today we say farewell to wonderful, beautiful Copenhagen. Our luxury motor coach will take us into Målmo, Sweden. We will be traveling along the Baltic coastline of Sweden to Kalmer & Småland. Special visits to the glass and crystal area of Sweden. Tonight we will overnight and enjoy a unique dinner. Our plan is to Meet and Greet local residents. May 10 Friday KALMER - STOCKHOLM Day 5 Breakfast at our hotel. A special guided tour with local guide of Kalmar area. This afternoon we will stop at Moorhead s sister city of Vimmerby on our journey to Stockholm and our Hotel - Royal Viking Royal for dinner and overnight. Sightseeing with local guide on a panoramic tour of this charming city which will include the Royal Palace, the Opera, where stars like Greta Garbo and Ingrid Bergman got their start, the Old City with its medieval houses and superb 14 th century statue of St. George. Visit City Hall and view the murals painted by Sweden s Prince Eugen as well as the reception area where the Nobel Peace Prizes are given out. Perhaps visit Skansen, an open-air museum and entertainment center. Dinner and overnight at Radisson Hotel in downtown Stockholm May 12 Sunday STOCKHOLM-OSLO Day 7 Following our early breakfast we will begin our journey west to Norway s capital city of Oslo. we can and will enjoy interesting stops along our route./ Upon arrival we will have overnight and dinner at Radisson Oslo Plaza Hotel. May 13 Monday OSLO Day 8 Breakfast at our hotel. Morning sightseeing includes City Hall, the Holmenkollen Ski Jump with a fantastic view of the city, Vigeland Sculpture Park and the Royal Place. Remainder of the day at leisure. Perhaps visit Thor Heyerdahl s Kon Tiki and the Viking Ship Museum on Bygdoy Peninsula or shop on the famous Karl Johan Street. Dinner at our hotel. May 14 Tuesday OSLO - STALHEIM Day 9 Depart Oslo after our breakfast and travel through some of the most beautiful scenery in Norway. Travel past the ice blue Tyrifjord and Hallingdal Valley unto Hardanger to view Voringvoss one of Norway s largest waterfalls. Cross the Hardangerfjord to Bruravik and continue to Stalheim overlooking the Nædrøy gorge. Dinner and overnight at Stalheim Hotel. May 15 Wednesday STALHEIM Day 10 Our unique Norwegian Breakfast is served. Today we depart for a round trip train tour of Flåm Valley (Flåm-Myrdal- Flåm). Time for shopping,
May 15 Continued family visits, and a museum. Our next stop is the remote village of Underdal. Here we see the goat farms and cheese processing. We return to Stalheim Hotel for dinner and overnight with a special tour of WWII bunkers and antiques. May 16 Thursday STALHEIM - BERGEN Day 11 Breakfast at our hotel. Our early morning tour begins with a beautiful mountain drive. A short stop at Tvindefossen (waterfall). In Voss we will see the Knut Rokne Memorial and Voss Church. Our two hour trip to Bergen through tunnels and over mountain passes will be an experience you will not forget. Bergen is built amid seven mountains. We will visit its harbor and see its colorful houses. We will visit the summer home of the great composer Edvard Grieg. The knitwear and handicraft shops are well worth the visit. Tonight we will enjoy a festive dinner and our overnight is at Edvard Grieg Historical Hotel. May 17 Friday BERGEN SLETTA BERGEN SYTTENDE MAI Day 12 A full Norwegian breakfast at our hotel. Today is Norway s Constitution Day and a holiday for most Norwegians. This day is complete with parades, special events and student celebrations. Our Bergen sightseeing tour will include: Mt Fløyen, Maria Church and the world famous Fish Market. After lunch we will travel to Rådoy (Sletta) to visit the Western Norway Immigration Center, the church from Brampton, ND plus all the other buildings from USA. Our Farewell Dinner is at the Hella Skul after which we will return to Bergen and our hotel. May 18 Saturday Bergen Area Day 13 A full Norwegian breakfast at our hotel. Transfer to Bergen Airport for our flight to USA. Clear Immigration and Customs and take our respective flights to our home cities. (B) Welcome Home!!
