Next General Meeting will be Wednesday January 13, 2016 at 7 PM, Sizzler Restaurant - East Route 66. Planning & Executive Board Meeting January 6, 2016 at the Sizzler Restaurant. As of November 11, we have 67 paid families. 12:00 Tuesday, November 17, the Ladies Luncheon will be held at the Beaver Street Brewery. The Ladies Christmas Luncheon for December will be at Little America. Check with Alana Velez or Maggie Bortree for the date. A special Ladies Luncheon for January 19th will be hosted by Jann Blankenship at her home. This will be a potluck lunch combined with the preparation of food packets to benefit the Flagstaff Food Center. Our New Cruise Director for 2016 is Bob Bortree. RUMBLINGS FROM AROUND THE FLYWHEEL It is with great sorrow that we report the passing of club member Ken Howard on October 23, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 21 from 12:00 to 3:00 at the Mountain View Church, 2150 East Linda Vista Drive, Flagstaff The club Christmas Dinner is coming up, December 6, Sunday at The Horsemen Lodge Restaurant located on Route 89. Please checkout the menu on page six. Following the Holiday Lights Parade on December 12, the Wiebe s are hosting their annual Post Parade Christmas Holiday Open House, 3365 N. Antler Crossing, Flagstaff. See Page 6 for info. There will be a Club Board meeting on January 6 at Sizzlers to discuss up coming club events for 2016. A hotly contested vote for club officers was made at the last general meeting. Results to follow in the January newsletter. (Note: there will be no newsletter in December.)

PAGE 4 STANDING ON THE CORNER - WINSLOW October 3, 2015 A warm and not too windy day greeted the 9 club members who journeyed to Winslow for the annual Standin on the Corner Car Show. Participants were Jeff Bryan, Tim Hewitt, Juergen Burmeister, Bob & Maggie Bortree, Jon Wiedenheft, Eric & Jennifer Sommers, & Joe Policastro. Congrats to Eric Sommers for taking 1st Place with his 29 Chevy in the Rat Rod category, and to Jennifer Sommers for 2nd place in Rat Rods with her 72 Suburban.

ROUTE 66 COURIER PAGE 5 SHOW & SHINE EVENT AT FLAGSTAFF MEDICAL CENTER To promote Men s Health Month in November the FMC sponsored a Saturday free clinic for all men on November 7. To provide awareness of the event, Flagstaff Surgical Associates manager and car club member Susan Davis invited the Route 66 Car Club to display their cars. Showing their rides at the event were Pete Page, Randy Travis, Candy Howard, Lance McKee, Frank Baker, Alan St. Germain, Mike Hernandez, Mike Whittaker, Steve Westerdahl, Eric Sommers, Juergen Burmeister, Susan & Chuck Davis, Sallie Page, and Bob & Maggie Bortree. A Note from the event coordinator, Bob Bortree: The weather was a little cool, but we had lots of Sun. Coffee and Donuts helped get the day started. We had a great turnout of 14 cars; and could have had two more but ice deterred them getting out of their garages. Thank You for bringing out your cars. Bob

PAGE 6 CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE INVITATION From Ed & Pat Wiebe We will host the annual Christmas Open House again this year after the Christmas parade. We want to invite all the car club members to come even if they are not in the parade or attending the parade. We will provide the main dish, ( ham ) breads, tossed salad, and drinks. I would like guests to bring a side dish of their choice. I will not have desserts,appetizers or many vegetable or salad side dishes to go with the ham. Our address is 3365 N. Antler Crossing. We are in Lockett Ranches, off of Ft Valley Road, just past Sechrist school and the big black train in front of the Pioneer Historical Museum. Directions to our home are as follows: Turn right onto Quintana Road. Go to the second street and turn left.( Antler Crossing). Proceed to the end of the street,1 block, and go up the hill. We are on top of the hill. There are 2 trees at the bottom of the hill with white lights on them. Our phone numbers are 607-2119 ( Pat) 607-2322, ( Ed). Call us if you have any questions or get lost.
