It was a much needed and very relaxing vacation warm temps, and awesome places to sightsee! Shane and I want to say a big Thank You to Marge and Kevin for holding the chapter reins so to speak while we were gone. This was really appreciated!! I understand that Kevin and a couple other members attended the MD District Staff Meeting so am looking forward to finding out what they learned. We had some visitors do a stopover at our house while we were gone they even left a note that read As soon as we heard you had left for vacation we flew right over to protect your home and also to greet you on your return. We hope you had a fun time. Welcome home. Love Gold, Wing and Wingster. Not fair Barbiegirl, just not fair lol Now our son was at home while we were gone so I asked him if he had seen Gold, Wing, and Wingster fly in but he just laughed and laughed and said he wasn t gonna tell if he did or didn t see Barbie. See he s heard us talking about Gold and Wing s funny adventure stories but Wingster was a new addition so he hadn t heard about him yet. He thought this was a lot of fun and couldn t wait to tell us we had visitors! But all good things come to an end so you never know where the quirky trio might land next! MD-H Chapter Meeting 4 th Sunday at Golden Corral, 706 S. Philadelphia Blvd., Aberdeen, MD Breakfast at 0800; Meeting at 0900
Our events are winding down for the year. Weather permitting in November, there s always the potential for a ride, maybe visit another chapter, or get in some firehouse challenges! Don t forget that we re still looking for someone willing to step up to be our Chapter Director! So if you re thinking about possibly stepping up, let us know, we d be happy to discuss the position with you or help in any way. MD-H is waiting for YOU to take it over! We will have a November Chapter Gathering it will take place on Sunday, 26 November (after the Thanksgiving Holiday) at the Golden Corral, 706 S. Philadelphia Blvd, Aberdeen, MD. Greetings to all. I am writing this brief article on a rather rainy Fall day as October closes to an end. Wanted to share this picture as a reminder to all, that we must watch for motorcycles while out traveling in our four wheeled vehicles. For those motorcycle riders who are riding into the Fall weather, it is important to consider the new conditions that this weather brings. There will be leaves falling and creating hazards as they cover up potholes or other imperfections in the roadway. Be on the lookout for deer and other animals out and about as they also can cause serious risk of accidents. There are also concerns brought on by the change in temperature. Cooler mornings, warmer temps during the day and colder in the evenings, requires one to be prepared by wearing and packing the appropriate clothing to be able to adjust based on the conditions. Riding in the Fall can be a wonderful experience. To mitigate those risks above and to help ensure you have a safe and enjoyable riding experience, it is always important to be prepared for such hazards by slowing down on the speed and wearing the proper gear.
