I hope everybody is healthy and having a great summer! I know I've been very busy and it's not all work! Tour de Fort rides have been popular this year; I want to thank all those riders who have joined me on the 4 rides so far. The bike ride schedule for July and August are: July 16th, meet at IPFW near the bridge over the river at 10.22 AM. Then on July 26th an evening ride, meet at Shoaff Park at 6:05PM on the south side where the trailhead comes into the park. And then on August 6th at the New Haven trail head at 10:22AM. Finally August 27th, meet at Shoaff Park at 10.22 AM. Of course these ride do include a stop for food and drink so you won't be ridden to death! These rides are casual rides for all level of riders. If you have not ridden with us before, it is a really fun time. Please come and join us! And bring a friend. If you need a bike please call me; also call me if you are riding so we know not to leave until your arrival. There are other activities in July and August, so read your Mogul to get all the information you need. I also want to do a shout out to Larry Trumble for hosting a lake party - chicken Bar B Que. THANK YOU Larry!!!! We had a great day and a great party. If any one else would like to host a party please call Sunnie. You're invited to join Fort Wayne Ski Club on an American Heritage Trails bus trip on Wednesday,. August 30 to Lake Wawasee. This trip, called a Summertime Sail & Snack, includes a lunchtime cruise on the SS Lilypad, then heads out to explore interesting sites around the area lakes, including a stop at the Village of Winona on the way home. The cost is $55 and it is a day trip from 8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Each person interested in going must make their own reservations and pay ASAP, as this is not an exclusive trip for club members in order to keep your costs down.
