March/April 2013 Volume 2013 Issue II Since 1963 May Board of Directors Meeting May 4 th, 2012 at Hesperia; Starts Promptly at 10a.m. Around the Campfire April is here and the campgrounds are going to be opening for the season on weekend of the 19 th. I m looking forward to a great camping season. We will be having our annual Board of Directors meeting in May, at Hesperia, with the full board and I m looking forward to seeing everyone. I plan on making a few more trips up to Hesperia this season; it s always a good time. I know there a few projects that need to get done and we will be discussing them at the meeting. I know there are electrical and water issues, in fact the water issues in Hesperia have been addressed already. These issues have gone on so long now they are in need of repair. Just a friendly reminder, please make sure everyone with a golf cart has an insurance slip for your campground director. Also make sure there in good running condition and they must have head lights to run at night. Remember your campground directors need help through the season so volunteer to property tender or just come up and give them a hand, it s not just their job it s all of our responsibility to take care of the camp grounds. If you have any ideas for the board I would love to hear from you and any ideas for camp ground improvements, go through your planning committee. LET S GO CAMPING. Roger M. Vogel Voice of the Vice I m looking forward to seeing everyone at the campgrounds soon. I have ordered the bricks and we are looking forward to getting them installed and ready for the 50 th All American. If you would like to have your brick in place for the rally please order soon. The May meeting at Hesperia will be here before you know it. Last year all chapters were present and we hope this continues, this is what makes our club work. The Memorial Day camp-out at Bellevue is coming together nicely, the band is booked and I'm sure Double Dozen is getting everything ready for another great pig roast. The auction has been able to support this weekend and again we are asking that everyone bring something nice for the Saturday auction. We would also like to encourage our members to bring a guest or 2 that weekend, what a better way to show off our campground. Daryl

Tidbits from the Treasurer Welcome back TTCM members Reminder to all golf cart users... Please remember to bring your current golf cart insurance form and turn it in to the campground director before you begin to use you golf cart on TTCM property. Remember you have follow posted speed limits and let's all be safe out there. Bellevue Garage Sale Spring has sprung which means spring cleaning! So while you are cleaning, pack up those items that are just collecting dust and bring them to the campground for our sale on July 4 th, 5 th, and 6 th. We hope to have a HUGE sale and we need your help to make it happen. Don t forget we will be doing a Swiss steak dinner Saturday after the sale. The registration will be in the newsletter soon. If you have questions please feel free to call me at 269-565-5891. Sherry Murrie Garage Sale Chairperson Bellevue Memorial Weekend Pig Roast We have been busy planning the 17th annual Pig Roast at the Bellevue Campground on Memorial Weekend. You can find a registration in this newsletter and it will be printed again in the May newsletter. Please register early so that we know what size pig is needed. If you do not register ahead of time there might not be enough for you to order that weekend. Make sure you get your registration in ASAP! Double Dozen will be cooking the pig and serving the dinner on Saturday. We will also be organizing an ice cream social. The Duneland Winnies are again bringing back the band Point'n Finger to entertain us on Saturday evening. They are also organizing the auction which will run like last year. We again are asking for items to be donated for the auction. The auction is very important - the funds raised from these auctions each year have paid for the band to return the next year. We are able to get this great entertainment without increasing registrations fees. We are looking for volunteers for the following. Please contact me if you are interested. Sunday Morning Breakfast - You will decide the menu, purchase the items needed, cook, serve and clean up. Sunday Lunch - We can go back to making bean soup from the leftovers if there is someone willing to take this on. Kids games Sunday evening bingo Looking forward to a great camping season! Debbie Steenbergh (DD) 248-930-6897
