ACTIVITY LOG WEEK OF Sept. 29 Oct. 5, 2017 Sept.29 Report of a man lurking around the dealership lot after hours in the 600 block of Wine Country Road. Request for extra patrol was made. Officers assisted with a juvenile who was refusing to go to school in the 1100 block of Prosser Ave. Assault report received in the 2000 block of Highland Drive. It was reported that a juvenile had assaulted two teachers. Reports sent to the Prosecutor for review of Assault 4 th Degree charges. Officers responded to a noise complaint in the 1300 block of Sommers Ave. Complaint of loud noise and music coming from the park. Responding Officer located one individual playing a guitar in the park and found that the noise was not at an unreasonable level. Traffic stop in the 100 block of Merlot Dr. Driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree. Sept. 30 Traffic stop in the area of OIE and N Wamba Rd. Driver found to be driving with a suspended license and to have an active warrant issued out of Grandview PD. Adult male was arrested and transported to Sunnyside PD for the warrant and issued a citation for DWLS 2 nd Degree. Officer s assisted Richland Police in attempting to locate a vehicle possibly involved in a hit and run accident in their jurisdiction. Vehicle was not located. Traffic stop in the 700 block of Wine Country Road. Driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Search warrant was performed on the vehicle and suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia were seized. Charges of Possession of Controlled Substance, Making False Statement to a Public Servant, and DWLS 3 rd Degree were forwarded to the Prosecutor s Office for the adult driver and two adult passengers. Officer s received a reckless traffic complaint in the 1300 block of Meade Ave. It was reported that a vehicle had pulled out with a baby not secured in a car seat. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle, but were able to contact the registered owner and advise them of the complaint. Registered owner was advised to keep the child in a car seat for safety. Oct 1 Parking complaint received in the 1900 block of Benson Ave, it was reported that a vehicle was partially blocking the Reporting Party s driveway. The registered owner was contacted and advised they would have the vehicle moved. Report of a dumpster on fire at the RV park in the 300 block of Merlot Dr., unknown how it started. No major damage was reported. Oct 2 Suspicious circumstance report received in the1000 block of 6 th St, Reporting Party found men s underwear near their political sign. RP wanted to report it in case it happens again. Officers responded to the area of 6 th St and Playfield Ave for two loose dogs. Owner of the dogs was located and advised that their dogs cannot be allowed to roam free or they will be cited.

Officers responded to the 900 block of Sheridan Ave. It was reported that someone is dumping garbage on the Reporting Party s property near the alley. Request for extra patrol were made. Officers responded to a report of harassment in the1000 block of Park Ave, victim reported that his brother in law and his friends were driving by his house shouting things at him and his wife. He was advised to get a no contact order in place. Oct.3 Officers responded to the area of Highland DR and Mercer Ct for a report of a male stumbling around with his pants falling down. Officers located an intoxicated male who was headed to the store for more alcohol. Male was provided a courtesy ride back to his home. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious male at the Rest Area. It was reported that the male was not wearing any shoes, had vomited all over the bathroom and then locked himself in, refusing to exit. Officers contacted the male, he stated he was sick with the flu and refused medics. Male was advised to keep quiet to avoid disturbing other people using the Rest Area. Report of a phone scam. Reporting party received a call from a male named Mark Johnson who told her she had won 61 million dollars, but needed to first send an $800 money order so they could give her $500,000. Reporting party was advised to not send any money and was told it was a scam. Officers responded to the 1400 block of Grant Ave for a non injury traffic accident. Driver advised they were distracted and had struck a parked vehicle. Officer assisted with exchanging information, the driver was cited for No License as well as Distracted Driving. Lobby contact, report of fraud. Reporting party advised that they were contacted by what they believed was a broker for a truck company and had made arrangements for loads to be picked up in Porsser. RP said that they then received a call asking what had happened to the truck loads as they had not been delivered. RP looked into the situation further and learned that a different trucking company had picked up the load using fraudulent information. Officers responded to an aggressive dog complaint in the 1000 block of Lillian St. It was reported that the dog had come up onto the Reporting Party s porch. RP was referred to Animal Control and advised to contact the PD if the dog is out showing aggression towards people. Officers responded to a report of harassment in the1000 block of Anna St. One adult male was arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail for Felony Harassment. Oct.4 Traffic stop in the area of 6 th St and Sheridan, driver was found to be driving with a suspended license and no insurance. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree and Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance. Officers responded to the 1000 block of Alexander Ct for a repot of a male with his pants half down as children were being dropped off at a bus stop. Male was reported to have been urinating with a beer in his hand. Officers were unable to locate the male. Officers responded to a report of a vehicle off the road in the 1200 block of Hillcrest Dr. Owner was able to tow the vehicle, no damage to property was found and no crimes had been committed. Oct.5 Officers received a report of harassment in the 1200 block of Prosser Ave. It was reported that a juvenile male had threatened to run over another juvenile male until they were dead. Charges of Harassment were forwarded to the Prosecutor s Office for review.

Report of a hit and run in the 700 block of Wine Country Rd. Reporting Party advised that someone had struck the passenger side mirror of their semi. The responding Officer was able to locate the suspect vehicle. RP did not wish to pursue charges. An exchange of information was provided to both parties. Officers received a report of juveniles smoking marijuana in the pavilion at the park in the 1300 block of Sommers Ave. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the juveniles. Report of a female attempting to shoplift at Shopko. Reporting Party advised that a female who had shoplifted on a previous date had come to the store again and they suspected she was trying to shoplift, but wasn t able to leave with any items this time. Case is under investigation.

ACTIVITY LOG WEEK OF Oct. 6 Oct. 12, 2017 Oct.6 A Samsung Galaxy S8 cell phone was found in the roadway near the Post Office on October 2 nd. The phone appeared to have been run over. As of October 6 th, no one had come in to claim the phone and it was placed into evidence for safekeeping. Officers responded to the 1200 block of Prosser Ave for a complaint of an ongoing problem with speeding vehicles. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate any speeding vehicles. Traffic stop in the area of W North River Rd and Wine Country Rd, driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree. Officer assisted with a disabled vehicle in the area of Wine Country Rd and Stacy Ave. Driver was located while he was on his way to get fuel. Driver was given a ride back to his vehicle and was able to get the vehicle off the road. Officers received a narcotics violation complaint in the area of 6 th St and Meade Ave. It was reported that an adult female was smoking marijuana outside near Chapman Real Estate. Reporting Party advised that they informed the female that she wasn t supposed to be smoking marijuana there and were told to, Buzz off. Officers were unable to locate the female. Traffic stop in the area of 7 th St and Stacy Ave, driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree and issued an infraction for Failing to Renew Expired Registration. Oct.7 Officer assisted a transient male who was trying to get to Yakima. Officer provided male with information and contact number for People for People for transportation. Officers received a reckless traffic complaint in the 200 block of Nunn Rd. It was reported that a small older white pickup was swerving and had gone through a red light, and it was thought to be a possible DUI. Responding Officer checked the area, noticed a small white pickup leaving the airport and followed the vehicle. Officer did not notice any signs of impairment, unknown if this was the correct suspect vehicle. Officer was flagged down by an adult female who advised that her 9 year old son and 8 year old daughter were missing. According to the female, the children were supposed to be at the Library, but the Library had closed. Officers checked the area and did not locate the children. Officers contacted the Reporting Party at her residence and while there, both children arrived home. The children advised that they had been at a friend s house. Mother and children were advised that they needed to make a plan to avoid this from occurring in the future. Oct.8 Traffic stop in the area of 7th St and Bennett Ave, driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree and issued an infraction for Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 200 block of Evans Ave. Responding Officer contacted involved parties who advised that they had been involved in a verbal argument only, nothing physical. Both parties advised they were fine, just stressed.

Traffic stop in the 1300 block of Grant Ave, driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree and issued an infraction for Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance. Officers received a reckless traffic complaint in the area of Bennett Ave and Kinney Way. It was reported that a white Toyota Camry was speeding, drifting and tailgating. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. Officers assisted Benton County Sheriff s Office with a report of a prowler in the 1400 block of S Missimier Rd. It was reported that a male wearing an LED headlamp was seen on the Reporting Party s property behind their vehicle parked in their driveway. Male turned off the headlamp when an exterior light was turned on and left the area in an unknown direction. Reporting party advised that items have been misplaced on his property over the last several weeks. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate anyone. Extra patrols were performed throughout the evening. Traffic stop in the area of Gap Rd and I82, driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult female was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree and issued an infraction for Driving without Two Headlights. Oct.9 Noise complaint received in the 1000 block of Sherman Ave. Report of loud music coming from a vehicle. Responding Officer checked the area, but was unable to hear any loud music. Officer contacted a male in the area and when asked, the male advised he had not been playing loud music. Officer continued to check the area throughout the evening. Suspicious activity report received at the City Park in the 1300 block of Sommers Ave. It was reported that a group of juveniles were videotaping juvenile females fighting. Responding Officer contacted a group of juveniles but they stated they were not involved in the fight. Officers assisted Benton County Sheriff s Office with a traffic accident in the area of Johnson Rd. An adult male had been run over by his own vehicle, male was transported to PMH. Request for a welfare check received in the 100 block of Merlot Dr. Reporting Party advised that they had heard screaming and yelling coming from a semi truck parked in the area. Responding Officer checked the area, but nothing appeared out of the ordinary. The semi truck appeared to be unoccupied. Multiple attempts were made to contact anyone inside. Officers received a report of a 16 year old runaway from the 500 block of Evans Ave, juvenile was last seen around 8:00 am. Juvenile was located at school the next morning. Oct. 10 Report of a possible intruder in the 100 block of N Wamba Rd. It was reported that noises were heard within the location. Responding Officers searched the exterior and interior of the location, but did not locate anyone or any evidence of criminal activity. Reporting Party was advised to call back if they found any cause for concern. Officers responded to a report of an attempted burglary in the 200 block of Chardonnay Ave. It was believed that someone tried to break into the location sometime during the evening as the door lock had been damaged. It didn t appear entry was actually made and no items were reported as stolen. Non injury traffic accident in the 800 block of Market St, vehicle was parked in the area and had popped out of gear causing it to roll into another unoccupied parked vehicle. Responding Officer assisted in taking photographs and exchanging information with vehicle owners.

Officers received a report of a female driver in the area of Wine Country Rd and Hwy 22 honking the vehicle s horn nonstop. RP stated that they didn t know if there was a medical issue with the female driver and requested Officers check it out. Officers checked the area, but the vehicle was gone upon arrival. Officers received a report of suspicious activity in the 100 block of SR 22. It was reported that there was a vehicle at a residence that no one was supposed to be at. Responding Officer did not locate any suspicious vehicles, but did find an open door. It did not appear that the door was forced open and the Officer did not find anything unusual on the property. The door was secured. Report of a suspicious person in the 1000 block of Anna St. Reporting Party stated that the fence contractor saw a Hispanic male, medium build with dark hair in an older red pickup looking through windows on the day prior. Request for extra patrols was made. Oct. 11 Officers responded to a suspicious circumstances report in the 400 block of Wine Country Rd. The drive-through window to the Early Bird Café was found to be open. Responding Officer found the window to be open, but with its screen still intact. Everything else appeared to be secure and no signs of criminal activity were observed. Officer was able to close the window. Juvenile male was contacted by Officers at the City Park in the 1300 block of Sommers Ave. Juvenile was found to have an active warrant. Male was arrested and transported to Juvenile Detention. Oct. 12 Lobby contact, wanting to speak with an Officer in regards to a suspicious phone call that was received. It was reported that someone called stating they owed money to the Department of Legal Affairs. No money or information was given. Officers received a traffic complaint in the area of 7 th St and Bennett Ave. It was reported that a white van had driven through the 4 way stop. Responding Officer checked the area, but was unable to locate the suspect vehicle. Officers received a report of assault at Prosser High School in the 1200 block of Prosser Ave. The School Resource Officer found the assault to have been a mutual fight between two juvenile males over information posted on social media. Both parties sustained minor injuries and both advised that they did not wish to have charges pursued. Both individuals were suspended from school for fighting. Officers assisted Richland PD with locating a suspect in a hit and run report in the 1400 block of Meade Ave. Officers assisted in obtaining photographs of the damaged vehicle and contact information for the suspect. Officers received a trespassing complaint in the 100 block of Spruce Ave. It was reported that a male who had previously been trespassed from the location entered through an unlocked door and was refusing to leave. Male was attempting to take his son with him. Male left once he heard Dispatch on the phone and prior to Officer arrival. Officers received a report of malicious mischief at Bethel Church in the 200 block of Gap Rd. It was reported that a rock used for a nativity scene had been destroyed on Monday, but that it was just now being reported. Responding Officer took photographs of the damage.

ACTIVITY LOG WEEK OF Oct. 13 Oct. 19, 2017 Oct.13 Officers received a suspicious circumstances report in the 800 block of Ellen Ave. Reporting party stated that she could hear voices in her backyard. Responding Officer checked the area, made contact with an adult male who advised he hadn t seen anyone in the area, but also wanted to report suspicious circumstances the week prior with people knocking on his windows. Officers received a suspicious circumstances report in the 500 block of Wine Country Rd. It was reported that a bloody towel had been found in the parking lot. Responding Officer checked the area and found a very small amount of blood on the concrete, curb and a bloody paper towel nearby in the bushes. Photographs were taken and the paper towel was disposed of. It appeared as if someone had gotten a bloody nose as there was very minimal blood found. Traffic stop in the 1300 block of Meade Ave, driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree and was issued an infraction for Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance. Officers received a disturbance report in the 100 block of Merlot Dr. Responding Officer found a verbal argument had occurred between two adults while exchanging children. Oct. 14 Noise complaint received in the 800 block of Myrtle St. Officers received a report of a vehicle going through the alley with its lights off playing loud music. Responding Officer checked the area and spoke with an adult male in the alley way regarding the complaint. Officers received a noise complaint in the 200 block of Merlot DR. It was reported that intoxicated subjects were running up and down the halls and pounding on doors at the Best Western. Responding Officer spoke to an employee of the Best Western who advised they had already contacted the subjects involved. They were advised to call back if they needed any further assistance from law enforcement. Oct. 15 Officers assisted WSP with a report of a male walking on I82 near mile post 77. The male was contacted and appeared to be intoxicated. Male accepted a courtesy transport to Loves. Request for extra patrols received in the area of Sadie and Evans due to a report of an unusual amount of traffic in the area which the reporting party found to be suspicious. Officers responded to a report of DV assault in the 800 block of Main St, verbal argument turned physical between husband and wife. Adult male was arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail for Assault 4 th Degree DV. Officers received a report of children being on the roof of Heights Elementary School in the 2000 block of Miller Ave. Reposting Officer contacted a family at the playground, who advised their daughter had seen children on the roof, but they had not. Responding Officer did not locate children. Officers responded to a report of a DV Assault and robbery in the 1200 block of Meade Ave. It was reported that a verbal argument between two adult females had became physical. It was further reported that the suspect had taken the victim s purse and phone. Case is currently under investigation.

Officers received a noise complaint in the area of 6 th St and Playfield Ave, report of ongoing issues with barking dog. Owner was able to handle the situation. Oct.16 Officers received a report of illegal dumping in the 900 block of Sheridan Ave. Reporting Party stated they are having an ongoing issue with neighbors dumping trash on their property, this time a mattress and boxes had been left behind. Responding Officer attempted contact with the neighbor, but they did not appear to be home. Officers received a suspicious circumstance report in the 500 block of Cabernet Ct, it was reported that an employee who had recently been fired was believed to be sleeping at the location and possibly doing drugs. Reporting party was worried that the person may cause problems for the current employees. Request for extra patrol was made. Traffic stop in the area of OIE and N Wamba Rd, driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult female was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree. Officers received a burglary report in the 200 block of OIE. Reporting Party advised their storage unit had been broken into sometime within the last two weeks. It was reported that a custom bicycle valued between $12,000 and $14,000 had been stolen as well as miscellaneous clothing and other items. Case currently under investigation. Officers received a report of a disturbance in the 900 block of Roza Vista Dr. Responding Officer found that a verbal only argument had occurred between family members. No injuries were reporter and parties agreed to separate for the day. Officers received a report of loitering in the 600 block of 8 th Street. It was reported that a Hispanic male had been sleeping on the bench outside the Spin Cycle Laundromat all morning. Responding Officer contacted the male who advised he was very tired and was taking a short nap. Male was told the owner wanted him to leave and not return to the location. Report of malicious mischief received in the 700 block of Memorial St. Reporting party advised their vehicle had been damaged while parked in the PMH parking lot sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning. Photographs of the damage were taken. Traffic stop in the 1900 block of Benson Ave, driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree and issued an infraction for Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance. Report of a hit and run in the 1300 block of Scenic Dr. Reporting party stated their neighbor saw a red sedan jump the curb in front of their residence knocking over a sprinkler head and an outside light, damaging both. Photographs of the damage were taken. Traffic stop in the area of S Wamba Rd and Wine Country Rd. Driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 1 st Degree and No Ignition Interlock Device. Traffic stop in the area of N Gap Rd and Wine Country Rd, driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree and issued an infraction for Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance and Expired Tabs. Oct.18

Officers received a malicious mischief report in the area of Merlot Dr. It was reported that a customer had thrown a drink at the back door to Starbucks. Suspect was gone upon Officer arrival and no damage was reported. Threat report received in the 900 block of Alexander Ct. Reporting Party stated that her ex boyfriend had threatened to, Knock her teeth down her throat. Case forwarded to the Prosecutor s Office for review. Oct.19 Report of suspicious circumstances received in the 800 block of Ellen Ave. Reporting Party advised they believed there was someone in their yard as they had seen flashlights. Officers checked the area, but did not locate anything suspicious. Officer s assisted Washington State Patrol with a single vehicle non injury rollover accident at mile post 82. One adult male was given a courtesy transport to McDonald s. Officers received a request for a welfare check in the 900 block of Alexander Ct. It was reported that a juvenile has not been going to school and has been getting into verbal arguments with her mother. Parties agreed to work together to resolve their issues. No other problems were reported. Officer assisted a homeless female who was traveling from Seattle to Colorado with a voucher for a hotel stay for one night due to the weather conditions.

ACTIVITY LOG WEEK OF Oct. 20 Oct. 26, 2017 Oct.20 Officers received multiple reports of shots fired in the area of Brown and Ellen Ave around 4:30 am. The area was searched, but Officers were not able to locate any evidence of a shooting. Approximately an hour after the initial calls came in Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of Ellen Ave. The occupants of the residence were reporting that they were the victims of a shooting. Responding Officers discovered several bullet holes on the outside and inside of the residence. Several individuals were inside the residence at the time of the shooting, but were uninjured. Case is currently under investigation. Theft report received in the 1300 block of Meade Ave. Reporting Party was not sure if her purse had been stolen or misplaced. Purse contained cash, ID, and various bank cards. RP was advised to cancel any bank cards and was told to call back if she located the purse. Report of malicious mischief received in the 1000 block of Anna Street. It was reported that a person(s) tore down a gate and then broke a basement window to a vacant residence in the area. Request for extra patrols was made. Officers assisted EMS with a driver that had possibly suffered a seizure while driving in the 300 block of Wine Country Rd. No accident had occurred and driver was transported to PMH for evaluation. Report of loose dogs in the area of Chardonnay and Wine Country Rd. Responding Officer found two Rottweiler s in the roadway forcing traffic in all directions to come to a stop. Owner of the dogs was located and was cited for Obstructing Law Enforcement Officer and two counts of Dogs at Large. Report of suspicious activity in the 500 block of Wine Country Rd. It was reported that dogs were barking and that it sounded like someone was outside the Reporting Party s residence. Responding Officer checked the area, but was unable to locate anyone. Oct 21 Traffic stop in the area of SR 22 and Wine Country Rd. Driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3rd Degree. Officers responded to the area of Concord Way and Scenic Dr. for complaints of the streets flooding due to the rain. City of Prosser Streets Department was advised of the situation and was dispatched to take care of the issue. Theft report received in the 1000 block of 5 th St. Reporting Party stated that a yellow skill saw and other miscellaneous tools had been stolen. Traffic stop in the area of Bennett Ave and Margaret St. Driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3rd Degree and issued an infraction for Expired Registration. Report of Suspicious Circumstances in the 900 block of Court Street. Reporting Party advised that they had found a crow bar next to their back door when they went to let their dogs out, no signs of attempted entry were found.

Officers received a vehicle prowl report in the 1100 block of Budd St. Phone chargers and a safety glass window breaker were reported as stolen. Officers assisted DOC with a warrant arrest in the area of Merlot Drive. Subject was arrested and transported to Benton County Jail. Officers received a vehicle prowl report in the 1200 block of South 5 th St. It was reported that the vehicle s trunk, glove box, and center console had all been rifled through and that there were several items stolen from the trunk. Traffic stop in the area of SW Montecito Dr and SW SR 22. Driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree and issued an infraction for No Insurance. Traffic stop in the area of Gap Rd and I-82. Driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree. Oct. 22 Traffic stop in the area of Chardonnay Ave and Merlot Dr. Adult male was cited for Allowing Unauthorized Minor to Drive. Officers responded to a report of suspicious circumstances in the 100 block of SR22. Officers made contact with a male and female at the location who were under the impression that they were allowed to be on the property. Officers advised the individuals that they were not allowed on the property and that they will be cited for trespass if they come back. Individuals left the area. Officers received a report of suspicious activity in the 1300 block of Dudley Ave. It was reported that a Blue Chevy Suburban with California plates was seen driving around the neighborhood and videotaping the RP s child with a cell phone. Responding Officer checked the area, but was unable to locate the vehicle. Officers received a report of a prowler in the 800 block of Ellen Ave. Reporting Party advised that they had seen a person with a flashlight in their back yard. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate anyone. Traffic stop in the area of W North River Rd and Wine Country Rd. Driver was found to be under the influence. Adult male was arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail for DUI. Oct. 23 Officers responded to a report of malicious mischief in the 900 block of Anna St. It was reported that a window had been broken. Photographs were taken of the damage. Officers responded to a report of stray dogs in the roadway in the area of Guernsey Ave and Prosser Ave. Dogs were not vicious, information was forwarded to Animal Control. Officers assisted WSP and Grandview PD with suspects that had fired multiple shots at a Trooper. The Trooper was not injured and the suspects had barricaded themselves into a building. YPD and WSP SWAT took control of the incident. Oct. 24 Traffic stop in the area of W CR 12 and W Hoisington Rd. Driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3rd Degree and No Ignition Interlock Device. Officers received a report of a disturbance in the 600 block of New Gate Dr. Responding Officer contacted the involved individuals. It was determined to have been a verbal only argument between neighbors.

Theft report received in the 1400 block of Wine Country Rd. Reporting Party advised their bicycle had been stolen sometime in the last two or three days from their front of yard. The bicycle is described as black in color with the word Gravity written in white letters. The bicycle has 29 wheels and has a slightly bent handle brake. Officers contacted an adult male in the 300 block of Cassie Court with a felony warrant. Male was arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail. Oct. 25 Malicious Mischief report received at 1000 block of Alice St. It was reported that a large rock had been thrown through a residential window. No injuries were reported. Case under investigation. Officers received a report of shoplifting in the 400 block of Wine Country Rd. It was reported that an adult male left Shopko with a cart full of items and a box of diapers. Upon further investigation, a suspect was later located and admitted to the theft, an adult male was cited for Theft 3 rd Degree. Malicious Mischief report received in the 600 block of New Gate Dr. Residence and vehicle were both egged sometime during the evening. Photos were taken of the damage. Officers assisted WSP with traffic control in the area of W SR 221 for a semi truck accident blocking the roadway. Traffic stop in the area of SR 22 and Wine Country Rd. Driver was found to have an active warrant out of Yakima County. Adult female was arrested and transported to the Sunnyside Jail for booking. Oct. 26 Suspicious circumstance report received in the 800 block of Ellen Ave. Reporting party stated they could hear someone whistling in their back yard. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate anyone. Report of burglary received in the 1000 block of Yakima Ave. It was reported that guns, miscellaneous tools, and two motorcycles had been stolen. One motorcycle was located in the 1000 block of 5 th Street and returned to the owner. Case is under investigation.

ACTIVITY LOG WEEK OF Oct 27 Nov 2, 2017 Oct. 27 Traffic stop in the area of Chardonnay Ave and Wine Country Road, driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree and issued an infraction for Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance. Officers responded to the 700 block of Wine Country Rd for a non reportable, non injury accident that occurred in the Loves parking lot. Involved parties exchanged information. Report of a suspicious male at the Rest Area asking for gas. Male was contacted and advised that he had someone helping him with obtaining gas, no problems were found. Officers assisted Benton County Sheriff s with a DV assault report at the Rainbow Court Cabins. BCSO arrested one adult male for Assault 4 th DV. Traffic stop in the area of 7 th St and Meade Ave. Driver was found to be driving under the influence. Adult female was arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail for DUI and Ignition Interlock Violation. Oct. 28 Officers assisted Washington State Patrol with a roll-over accident in the area of Hwy 22 and 221, Semi rolled over spilling grapes and grape juice. No injuries were reported. West Benton Fire Rescue was dispatched to assist with cleanup. Theft report received at the Prosser Airport. Unknown suspect(s) entered one of the hangers and stole a 6ft by 6ft theatre movie poster of the movie Planes. Officers assisted BCSO with a report of shots fired in the area of Bunn Road and OIE. It was determined to be hunters in the area. Officers received a report of a female being followed by approximately 30 individuals on motorcycles somewhere in Prosser. The female was contacted and advised she was not in Prosser, but was in Sunnyside. When the Officer tried to get further information from her to relay to the Sunnyside Police Department, the female hung up on them. Female hung up again when the Officer called her back, incident was referred to Sunnyside PD. Officers received a report of a suspicious male at PMH. Male was reported to be acting strange and saying that he needed to work something out with the FBI out of Yakima, but he couldn t get in contact with them. Male was contacted and was advised to try a different FBI location. Report of malicious mischief at Prosser High School. Reporting Party advised that unknown individual(s) had drawn pictures of male genitalia in the dirt on their truck. Photographs of the damage were taken. Traffic stop in the area of 7 th Street and Wine Country Rd. Driver was found to be driving without a valid operating license without identification. Adult male was cited and released for NVOL W/O ID and issued an infraction for Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance. Oct. 29 Traffic stop in the area of 6 th St and Bennett Ave. Driver was found to be driving while under the influence. Adult female was arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail for DUI.

Traffic Stop EB on Interstate 182, driver was suspected of driving while under the influence. While PRPD Officer was returning from the Benton County Jail after booking an adult female for DUI, a vehicle was observed driving at a slow rate and crossing the center line. The vehicle was stopped and the Officer could immediately detect a strong odor of intoxicants. Benton County Sheriff s Office was asked to assist with the stop. BCSO arrested and booked the adult male driver into the Benton County Jail for DUI. Male was issued an infraction for Improper Lane Usage by PRPD. Officers received a report of a possible hit and run in the 1400 block of Sheridan Ave. Reporting Party found scratches on their vehicle, but only wanted to report it for insurance purposes. Report of suspicious activity received in the 800 block of Ellen Ave. Reporting Party advised that a neighbor had been shining a laser pointer into their home. Neighbors were contacted and denied using a laser. Reporting Party was advised to call if any further suspicious activity occurred. Report of suspicious activity received in the 700 block of Market St. It was reported that a male was knocking persistently on the Reporting Party s front door. Reporting Party did not know the male and due to the fact that it was nearly 1:00 am did not feel comfortable answering the door. Male was described as White, approximately 6ft, and wearing a blue Carhart jacket. Male was gone upon Officers arrival. Reporting Party was advised to call back if it occurred again. Oct. 30 Report of suspicious circumstances in the 1100 block of Campbell Drive. A male showed up to the residence acting in a strange manner. Male was contacted and was behaving in a very odd paranoid manner, believing he was being tracked by his cell phone and other items he had. Male refused medical evaluation, and was transported to his residence. Officers received a report of suspicious activity in the 800 block of Ellen Ave. Reporting Party advised that there were males in their backyard. BCSO assisted Prosser Officers and were unable to locate any suspects in the area. Traffic stop in the area of 10 th St and Wine Country Rd. Adult male was cited and released for Ignition Interlock Violation and issued a speeding infraction. Officers received an animal complaint in the 500 block of Cascade Ct. It was reported that a Pitbull was running loose in the area. Officers checked the area, but the dog was not seen. Owner was contacted and dog was located inside of the residence. Reporting Party was advised to call Non-Emergency Dispatch if the dog is seen loose again. Officers received an animal complaint in the 1100 block of Prosser Ave. Reporting Party advised it is an ongoing issue with dogs being loose in the area chasing and barking at people. Animal Control was notified. Upon Officer arrival the dogs were already back inside of their fence line. Officer contacted the owner and advised them they needed to fix the fence where the dogs were getting out. Owner stated that they were on their way home and would address the problem as soon as possible. Theft report received in the 900 block of 7 th Street. Reporting Party advised that their son s red Diamond Back, BMX style bike had been stolen from in front of the Prosser Library. Surveillance video showed a juvenile male appearing to be 10 to 14 year old, wearing a hoodie sweatshirt and baseball cap taking the bike. The area was checked, but Officers were unable to locate the suspect. Officers received a report of a missing juvenile. Reporting Party advised the juvenile had not returned home from school. Officers were able to locate the juvenile. It was found that he was on a school fieldtrip in Toppenish and not missing.

Traffic Stop in the area of McCreadie Rd and Wine Country Rd. Driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult male was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree and issued an infraction for Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance. Oct. 31 Report of lost property in the 400 block of 7 th Street. Reporting Party advised they had lost a blue Igloo lunchbox which contained keys and other items inside. Officer checked the area and was unable to locate the lunchbox. Officers received a suspicious phone call report. Reporting Party advised they had received a text from an unknown person asking them if they wanted to purchase a quarter pound of marijuana for $200. RP was advised to ignore the texts and that the number would be passed on to the drug task force. Report of a hit and run in the 1200 block of Dudley Ave. Reporting Party advised they were driving in the area of 6 th and Dudley when they stopped to wait for a car to turn in front of them. A black vehicle that was driving behind them tried to squeeze by to make a right turn onto Dudley, struck theirs and then drove off. Officers responded to a noise complaint in the 900 block of Memorial St. Officers contacted teenagers in the area who advised they were the dance team and were practicing for an upcoming event. They were told of the noise complaint and advised they would keep it down. Officers received a report of a missing child. It was reported that the child was supposed to wait for their older sibling to pick them up from school, but was not there when they arrived. Child was located downtown trick-or-treating. Officers responded to a non injury accident in the 1800 block of Wine Country Rd. Accident was determined to be non reportable and parties exchanged information. Officers received a report of a disturbance in the 1800 block of Highland Dr. Officers contacted involved parties who advised there had been a verbal only argument. One party decided to leave the location. Officers assisted the Fire Department with gaining entry into a vacant home in the 900 block of Ellen Ave due to a suspected gas leak. Gas was found to be flowing inside and was shut off. Officers received a noise complaint in the 800 block of Court St. Reporting Party advised there was an ongoing issue with dogs barking and requested the owners be contacted. RP was advised the information would be passed on to Animal Control. Nov. 1 Officers received a report of a phone scam in the 1200 block of Sheridan Ave. Reporting Party advised they have been receiving phone calls for the past two months from a male stating they had won money, but just needed an account number. RP knew it was a scam, but was concerned because the caller knew their information. RP was advised to monitor their accounts closely. Officer called the number that was provided by the RP and a male answered, after Officer identified himself the male stated, Stop calling my phone, danggummit. and hung up. It was not believed to be the same person that is calling the RP. Parking complaint received in the 1100 block of Prosser Ave. Reporting Party advised a vehicle was parked partially blocking their driveway. Vehicle owner was contacted and moved the vehicle. Officers received a report of a suspicious female in the area of Meade Ave and Wine Country Rd. Reporting Party advised that a female had come to their residence and asked where the hospital was located. The female appeared to be under the influence and appeared to be in distress. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the female.

Officers assisted West Benton Fire Rescue with a natural cover fire in the area of W Buena Vista Rd and S Griffin Rd. Officers received a report of an intoxicated female in the down town area. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the female. Traffic stop in the 100 block of Merlot Dr. Driver was found to be driving with a suspended license. Adult female was cited and released for DWLS 3 rd Degree and issued an infraction for Fail to Renew Expired Registration. Nov. 2 Officers assisted Benton County Sheriff s Office with a vehicle roll over in the area of Griffin Rd and McCreadie. Occupants were transported to PMH. Officers received a suspicious circumstance report in the 2000 block of Highland Dr. Officers responded to the area and found a vacant home with the front door unlocked and the back sliding door open. Officers performed a building search, but it did not appear anything was missing. Parking complaint received in the 800 block of Ellen Ave. Vehicle was gone upon Officer arrival. Officers received a request for a welfare check in the area of 7 th St and Dudley Ave. Officers responded to the location and found a juvenile had fallen from their bike injuring their leg. Juvenile was transported to PMH and parent was notified.
