Early Ford V8 Club of America Gettysburg, PA August 8-11, 2016 www.ncr36.com The National Capital Region of the Early Ford V8 Club would like to invite you to the 2016 Eastern National Meet in historic Gettysburg, PA. The headquarters hotel is the Wyndham, Gettysburg. The venue was selected so that all meet activities could be held at one location and has all the facilities necessary including: 1. Over 400 rooms on site 2. Space for concourse parking, secure trailer parking and swap meet 3. Located on a major highway 4. Banquet facilities for over 600 5. Large meeting areas 6. Shopping and dining areas nearby with public transportation available 7. Several independent restaurants on the property in addition to those in the hotel. 8. Interesting places to visit in the area The Wyndham Gettysburg is located at 95 Presidential Circle Gettysburg, PA 17325. We have a block of rooms available at a nightly rate of $119 (plus state and local taxes). This nightly rate is also good for the several days before and after the Meet, if you would like to spend some extra time in the Gettysburg area. As a special incentive to stay at the headquarters hotel a drawing will be held 3 weeks prior to the event to upgrade five of the reservations to either the Presidential Suite or to one of four (4) Deluxe King Suites at the standard room rate. Those reserving rooms for check in on Sunday, August 7 and checkout on Friday, August 12 at the standard group rate will be eligible for the upgrade. Meet Registration will be available on Sunday afternoon, August 7 th. We are planning to have a History/Memorabilia room during the meet. If you have a collection you would like to display please let us know how much space you need. If you have a specialty you would like to share with others through a seminar please let us know as well. On Monday, August 8 th, the hotel will be the location for Meet Registration, the Your Choice Raffle, Operational Check, the Swap Meet and Car Cleanup. We are planning to have a bus trip to Washington, DC. There is a movie theater on site for anyone to visit on your own.

On Tuesday, August 9 th, Meet Registration, the Raffle, Operational Check, Swap Meet and Car Cleanup will continue. In addition the President s Meeting, Owners and Judges Meeting will be held. We are planning to have a bus trip to Strasburg, PA in Amish country to visit the Railroad Museum and Steam Railroad where a train ride will be available. We are also planning a visit to a local car restoration shop that is one of the few in the area that does babbit bearing work. The trip will include a stop in Lancaster were several outlet centers are located for those not interested in the museum. For those not interested in the bus tour a driving tour is being planned which will include stops at a local club members collection and a visit to Antietam Battlefield. In the evening there will be a Welcome Party with a ventriloquist as entertainment, a buffet meal and a cash bar. On Wednesday, August 10 th the Raffle and Swap Meet will continue. The Judge s Breakfast will be held at the headquarters hotel and the Concourse will also be on the hotel property. Box lunches the day of the concourse will be available for pre-purchase. A Ladies Luncheon is being planned which will include an 1863 fashion show. We are also planning to have seminars in the afternoon if we get volunteers who want to talk about an area of the hobby they are willing to share. Wednesday evening there will be an Ice Cream Social with a magician as entertainment and where the Your Choice Raffle drawings will be held. On Thursday, August 11 th, while preparations are underway for the Awards Banquet the sale of 50/50 Raffle tickets will be available and the Swap Meet will continue. A driving Tour is being planned to the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing. A bus Tour of the Gettysburg Visitors Center featuring the Cyclorama, Museum and a Film will be offered and include a guided tour of the battlefield. For those not interested in the tours there will be time to explore the many local historic attractions. The Awards Banquet will be held in the evening at the hotel where the 50/50 raffle and special raffle drawings will be made. Denim shirts will contain meet logo graphic on the front similar to the polo shirts shown and will be available in light or dark color choices.
