Kilkivan Bush Camp - Very encouraging early arrival of 9 vans on Wednesday which was a good early start. By Thursday the full contingent of 12 vans had arrived for the weekend. Dennis Williams had a car accident so was unable to attend. Very laidback leisurely rally with just a couple of suggested drives but mostly people doing their own thing and enjoying each other s company. Friday night most people went to the Pub for dinner. The food was very nice and everyone enjoyed themselves. Saturday night was the roast dinner put on by Ralph & his family in the renovated bar/function area with a bush duo for entertainment. Great weekend had by all who attended. (Thanks to Wayne for his comments.) After the rally 7 vans stopped over at Linville on their way home. enjoyed this stopover as mentioned by Russell in his report. Those who did this also

PRESIDENT S REPORT - Kilkivan Bush Camp rally Kilkivan Bush Camp is a great bush campground that gets you back to nature. We noticed major changes since our last visit 2 years ago - a licenced restaurant, children s playground & jumping pillow to mention a few. We had a total of 12 vans at the Rally. A small Rally that included our quarterly general meeting. The minutes of the Meeting have already been distributed. To keep up our tradition of eating at Rally s most of us went to the Kilkivan Hotel on Friday Night, followed by the FREE pancake breakfast on Saturday Morning, then the 3 course dinner at the Bush Camp Licenced Restaurant Saturday Night. Many of our members commented it was the most enjoyable relaxing Rally they have attended. After the Sunday Morning roundup 7 of us travelled to Linville on the way home to spend the night at the free camp. This new adventure organised by Bob & Jeanette proved very popular. Jeanette baked yummy hot scones with cream & jam for our afternoon tea. I am sure they will organise more of these little adventures in the future. Our next Rally is at Kandanga Bowls Club. Limited Power 6/8 points mixture of 15 & 10 amps. Power will be allocated to those members that need power for medical reasons first. Water Tap available but, CANNOT use hoses, tanks to be topped up with buckets etc. so make sure your water tanks are FULL on arrival. The Jabiru Caravan & RV Club Members Welcome the support of Rod & Anna & it is hoped the arrangement is beneficial to us all. Bayside Caravan Spares was first established in Capalaba approximately six years ago, it moved to its current location Shop 2B 8/16 Redland Bay Road Capalaba three years ago with the new owners Anna and Rod purchasing the business on the 1 st July 2017.
