TRANSPORTATION QUARTERLY REVIEW CITY OF HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA Volume 19, Issue 2 A publication of the City of Huntsville Planning Division January 2013 Construction in the MPO Area Reflects Commitment to Infrastructure Improvements Numerous transportation projects were completed in the Huntsville metropolitan area during fiscal year 2012. These projects reflect a sizable investment in infrastructure using federal, State, and local funds. The commitment of these resources yielded major road improvements that provided for resurfacing, signalization, and increased capacity in the amount of over $39.4 million.
