PRESIDENT'S NOTES Hello everyone, Well it s time to get busy on those ditty bag items, door prizes and cleaning the car( if you haven t yet). Our show is rapidly approaching on August 9 th. We ll have posters to spread out in the area hopefully by our July meeting. Please take some and take to any car shows you attend and put up in area businesses. We ve secured Pollard Ford as a continuing sponsor for another year, along with AIM bank and NAPA. All of these businesses will provide some items for bags and door prizes, but we need YOUR help. We ask for you to provide a door prize, $10 or so, for us to have to give during the show. You can bring it to the July meeting if you want. We also need a few volunteers to help with running the registration table and organizing door prizes. At the meeting we ll set a date for filling the ditty bags. Wayland is ready for our show and excited and we can use the east entrance off of Quaker, if we need to this year. Pollard hopes to have a 2015 Mustang for the show, but they are just now in production, so not sure. Pollard does want our club to have a show and shine at their place when the new Mustang arrives, if it doesn t make the show. That event will likely be in September. Mike will fill you in on the events of this past month and what s coming in his monthly comments. By the way, don t forget to help his son by purchasing t-shirts, designed by Scott, at Mountain Hideaway or online( www.redbrookclothing.com) since the money pays for Scott s adventure visiting all National parks in a year so he can create a book about his adventures. See you on Thursday July3rd, John Doc's Thoughts June was a great month for our club with a lot of shows and good Mustang participation. The "Old Folks Boogie Too" show at Cagle's was a blast! Those who didn't make it missed out on one of the best events of the season. Junior

Vasquez opened, followed by the Showdown Band and then Kenny Maines backed up by the Showdown Band. That's all not to mention the fajita meal and car show. A lot of money was raised to help cancer victims and look for this show to become a very large annual event. I also made it to the Hill's Hotrods event for alzheimers, the Garrison show and the Wild West Harley show. We were well represented at all of these and congrats to our very own VP, Jimmy Godfrey for taking top honors at the Harley show. Coming up in July is the Caprock Classic Car Club's 19th Annual Rock 'n' Roll Nostalgia Car Show, on the 19th on the square in Slaton. For any new folks who don't know, this is the largest car show on the South Plains and is a lot of fun. The venue is great with a lot of trees and grass (shade) with tons of vendors. They have a cruise Friday night, burn out contest and a swap meet, too. If you don't make another show (besides ours) this year, please try to make this one. The Caprock folks have always strongly supported our club with major participation in our Birthday Party and Show, so lets please reciprocate and bring a lot of Mustangs out. There's a link to the entry form on the Facebook page and website. Lastly, thanks to John for mentioning my son's adventure to visit and photograph all 47 National Parks in the continental U.S. in one year. You may have seen him featured on The KCBD news cast on June 25th. He's living out of his truck and, for the outdoorsmen among you, you can follow his blog at http://www.oneyear47nationalparks.com/. As John mentioned, his shirts are available at http://www.redbrookclothing.com/. A Major Sponsor of the Lubbock Mustang Club
