PKWS June 2014 Issue Editor: Carol Mathis PRESIDENTIAL PONDERINGS We are just a few weeks away from the 2014 Charlotte Pond Tour. I still need one family to volunteer to help out at one pond where we do not have a member. If you are new to the club, please do not volunteer as I would rather you go on the tour and see the different ponds. If you are on the tour, we will be bringing a case of water and the pond tour signs to the next meeting to give you. If anyone needs any assistance with their pond, please let me know and we will get someone or several someone s to help. On a different note, I was pleased to hear how well the pond pull went this past Saturday. I hear that several members were able to participate in the pull. Pond pulls are very interesting and fun to do. I understand that a few hundred koi came back to Charlotte and will be on sale at Leo and Carol s house on Saturday morning (same day as meeting). If you are in need of fish, this is a great opportunity to get fish of all sizes. I saw that there were ones as big as 15 (my estimate) and as small as 1. I look forward to seeing everyone at the meeting. I hear we are having BBQ so bring those side dishes. See you on Saturday Brannon If you re interested in ordering the Hi Feng fish food, the club will do the ordering, but everything must be paid in advance and we ll do a bulk order. Contact Terry McClain for details by the time of the meeting at Jeff Reiter s.
