This work is part of a $500,000 project to resurface Wooster Rd. between Hopocan Ave. and Norton Ave. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late September 2015. State Route 8 in the City of Hudson (Monday, September 21 Friday, September 25) Beginning Monday, September 21, SR 8 northbound will have various daily lane restrictions between Seasons Rd. and SR 303 for catch basin and pavement repairs. These restrictions will occur nightly between 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. SR 18/W. Market St. between I-77 and the western Akron Corporation limit has various daily lane restrictions for curb replacement. This work is part of a $7.7 million project to widen SR 18 between Hametown Rd. and I-77 and to resurface SR 18/E. Market St. between I-77 and the western Akron Corporation limit. The entire project is scheduled to be completed mid- October 2016. State Route 82 in the City of Macedonia SR 82 between Alexandria Drive and the Twinsburg Corporation limit has various lane restrictions for drainage improvements, roadway widening and resurfacing. This work is part of a $4.6 million project to resurface and widen SR 82 between Alexandria Drive and the Twinsburg Corporation limit. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by September 2016. State Routes 176 & 303 in the Village of Richfield and Richfield Township (Monday, September 21 until further notice) Beginning Monday, September 21, SR 21 between I-77 and the Ohio Turnpike will be reduced to one lane in each direction for drainage repairs. SR 176/Broadview Rd. between the Cuyahoga County line and I-271 and SR 176/Wheatley Rd. between I-271 and I-77 has various daily and nightly lane restrictions for resurfacing. SR 303 from the Medina County line to just east of Major Rd. has various daily lane restrictions for resurfacing. This work is part of a $2.9 million project to resurface SR 303 from the Medina County line to Major Rd., resurface SR 176/Broadview Rd. between the Cuyahoga County line and I-77 and for drainage repairs along SR 21 between the Cuyahoga County line and the Ohio Turnpike. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late September 2015. ***ONGOING*** 31st Street in the City of Barberton
31st St. between Wooster Rd. and Shannon Ave. is reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction for drainage repairs and roadway widening. This work is part of a $2.6 million to widen 31st St. in the City of Barberton between Wooster Rd. and Shannon Ave. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late October 2015. Spicer St. & Johnston St. in the City of Akron The following areas have lane restrictions or closures for the relocation of Johnston St. between Spicer St. and Brown St. Spicer St. between Thornton St. and Johnston St. is closed through late October for sanitary sewer installation. The detour will be Thornton St. to Grant St. to Morgan Ave. The intersection of Brown St. and South St. is closed through late October for roadway reconstruction. The detour is E. Thornton St. to Grant St. to Morgan Ave. to Brown St. Johnston St. at Inman St. is closed through late October for roadway reconstruction. The detour will be Inman St. to Lovers Lane to Brown St. to Morgan Ave. to Grant St. This work is part of a $15.6 million project to remove three bridge on I-76/I-77 over Johnston St. The project also includes the relocation of Johnston St. between Spicer St. and Brown St. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late July 2017. State Routes 8 & 82 in the Village of Northfield; Northfield & Sagamore Hills Townships SR 82 between Holzhauer Rd. and Boyden Rd. is reduced to one lane in each direction for roadway widening. SR 82 between Summer Rd. and Holzhauer Rd. has various nightly lane restrictions for resurfacing work. These restrictions will occur nightly between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. This work is part of a $3.1 million project to resurface SR 82 between the Cuyahoga County line and Summer Rd. and widen SR 82 between Boyden St. and Holzhauer Rd. in Northfield Township and to make curb ramp repairs along SR 8 in the village of Northfield. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by October 2015. State Route 18/ Brittain Rd. in the City of Akron
Brittain Rd. over SR 18/ E. Market St. between Bauer Blvd. and I-76 is closed through late September for a bridge replacement. The detour is SR 18/E. Market St. to Seiberling St. to Bauer Blvd. to Brittain Rd. Also, one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction on SR 18/ E. Market St. between Massillon Rd. and Seiberling St. This work is part of a $1.8 million project to replace the Brittain Rd. bridge over SR 18/ E. Market St. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by October 2015. Interstate 77 in the City of Akron The ramp from I-77 northbound to I-277 westbound is CLOSED through late October for a bridge replacement and widening. The detour is I-77 north to I-76 westbound/kenmore Leg. I-77 southbound under the ramp from I-77 northbound to I-277 westbound has various nightly lane restrictions through late October for a bridge replacement and widening. This work is part of a $2.8 million project to widen and replace the ramp from I-77 northbound to I-277 westbound and the Chester Ave. pedestrian bridge over I-76/Kenmore Leg. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by mid-september 2016. State Route 91 in the City of Twinsburg SR 91 between Post Rd. and Glenwood Dr. is reduced to one lane daily with traffic maintained by flaggers for utility relocation work. Interstate 271 in the City of Macedonia The SR 82 entrance ramp to I-271 northbound is closed to relocate the entrance ramp to Freeway Drive through Wednesday, September 30. The detour during this time is SR 82 west to SR 8 south to I-271 north. I-271 between SR 8 and the Cuyahoga County line has various lane restrictions for roadway widening. The speed limit in this area is reduced to 50 mph during construction. This work is part of a $50.9 million project to reconstruct and widen I-271 between SR 8 and the Cuyahoga County line. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by October 2016.
Interstate 271 in Richfield Village & Richfield Township The ramp from I-271 northbound to I-77 northbound is closed through late October for a bridge replacement. The detour is Brecksville Rd. to SR 176/Wheatley Rd. to I-77. Motorists traveling on I-271 northbound from just south of Broadview Rd. to just south of SR 303 should be aware of a bi-directional traffic pattern. Although two lanes of traffic are maintained in each direction on I-271 northbound traffic is split, with one lane of northbound traffic crossed over onto I-271 southbound, while the second lane remains on I-271 northbound. The right lane that remains on I-271 northbound is considered an exit only lane for Brecksville Rd. and I-77 northbound. Motorists who wish to stay on I-271 northbound need to remain in the left lane which crosses over onto I-271 southbound. I-77 northbound and southbound under I-271 has various nightly lane restrictions between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. This work is part of a $46.4 million project to reconstruct the pavement along I-271 from Broadview Rd. to the Ohio Turnpike.
