Debits for the week under review are $3,958,000,000 or 30.1 per cent above those for the week ending January 12, 1927. Hew York City reported an increase of $2,967,000,000, Chicago ^275,000,000, Boston'$122,000,000, San Francisco $93,000,000, Philadelphia $87,000,000, Detroit $35,000,000, Buffalo $33,000,000, Cincinnati $30,000,000, Newark $27,000,000, and Los Angeles $24,000,000.
