The chaplain offered prayer. Unidentified speaker asked the officers to take their stations. A member ofthe credentials committee reported that 192 delegates were present. There were eighteen presidents present, 156 delegates and 18 delegates at large. The roll call of the delegates took place. Several resolutions are read by a member ofthe resolutions committee. The Palmer Igloo and Auxiliary are thanked One resolution had a request to the state legislature to construct Pioneer Homes in Anchorage and Kotzebue that have already been approved. Another resolution discussed the longevity bonus and the issue oftaxation and social security. The policies ofthe Pioneers' Home are discussed. A member ofthe nominating committee read the names ofthe officers elect: Patrick Lloyd, Axel Edman, William Race, Robert Hanson, Robert Dyer, Robert Rich, Harris Sidis, Robert Huffman, William Huskinds, Robert Cliffion, Slim Blood, Tom Malderoy, William Schaeffer, Bill Salmon, Marvin Chaff and Grant Thompson.
