Invitation for the 3rd Asian Shipbuilding Experts Forum Dear all, In recent years, International Maritime Organization (IMO) has conducted many rounds of discussions and negotiations on technical issues related with Maritime Safety and Maritime Environmental Protection, which cover topics of Green House Gas Emission, Waste Management, Shipping and Port Control during the process of shipbuilding, ship repairing and ship recycling. The Asian Shipbuilding Experts Forum (ASEF) was thus founded from the year of 2007 aiming at getting these new rules well known by Asian shipbuilding industry, establishing the communication mechanism among Asian shipbuilders, promoting the improvement of Asian shipbuilding technology and finally improving the position of Asian shipbuilding industry in the development of Maritime rules. The 1st ASEF was held in Japan and the 2nd one was held in Korea, both of which won a big success. Herewith we are so honored to host the 3rd ASEF in China, the forum will be hole in 3rd ~ 4th December, 2009 at Shanghai(During The All China Maritime Conference & Exhibition), the theme of which would be Maritime Safety and Maritime Environmental Protection. We are sincerely looking forward to your participation. China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry (CANSI) Chinese Society of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (CSNAME) 1
