Make sure your Handcarts are washed when you check them back in. 6. Help us take care of the Handcarts. They are a very valuable resource for a successful trek and out missionary program at these Historic Sites. Thank You 10

Campground/Trail Rules 1. Unload and park only in designated areas. Whenever possible, we will have someone to direct you. Please do not block roads at any time. No long-term camping is permitted. A usual stay should not extend beyond three nights. 2. Do not wash dishes, hair, hands, feet, or teeth, near the water faucets or hand pump water wells. Surface water seepage can contaminate the drinking water. Collect water in buckets or tubs and wash at least 20 feet away in your campsite. 3. Horses are not allowed. Also, NO pets are allowed! 4. There will be no smoking, drinking of alcoholic beverages, firearms, or fireworks. 5. Consider collapsing tents if you leave the campground for a long period of time. The wind can come up quickly. 6. Camp in your assigned area. In campgrounds, please use only the metal fire rings assigned to your group. There are to be no open fires in Sage Creek Campground. We do not provide firewood. You must bring your own. During a dry year, open fires may be prohibited. You may use charcoal in containers or a propane stove. 7. Except for Sage Campground, vehicles are allowed to park adjacent to the campgrounds in designated areas, space permitting. At Sage Campground only one emergency and one food vehicle should be parked adjacent to the Campground and semi's are not permitted to park adjacent to the Sage Campground. 8. You are responsible for your own trash. Haul it in and then haul it out. Do not let paper or plastic blow around the campground. Leave your area clean, including no trash in the fire rings as well as things such as orange peels, apple cores, pop cans, etc. Remember, PACK IT IN...PACK IT OUT. 9. At the end of your stay, fill out the Campground Check Out List. Please clean the restrooms before your group leaves. There are cleaning supplies available from your camp host. Do not throw any debris in toilets, as it will clog the cleaning hose of the vacuum truck. 10. Please leave all gates as you find them. 11. Quiet time is 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Remove generators to the parking area. Be considerate of other groups. Please, no early morning wake-up calls over a sound system or by bugle. 12. Do not sit in carts while the handle is on the ground. You are responsible for your handcarts while your group is here. If you break them on the trail, you are still responsible to bring them in. Many groups bring duct tape which has enabled them to continue using the carts and get them to the end of the trek. 11
