(Approximate drive time is 11 hours without stops, 726 miles.) You will be traveling through the night to arrive in New York City tomorrow morning. Friday, March 15, 2019 Breakfast On your own 9:00 am Welcome to New York City! Upon arrival, meet your Gateway Tour Manager, Bobbi Miller. Hotel Bobbi will assist with luggage drop off at the hotel. Menu: fresh seasonal fruit, French toast sticks with maple syrup, scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, assorted breakfast breads, orange juice, tea and coffee. 12:00 pm Load coaches in uniform and with instruments in hand (larger instruments cased and under coach) and transfer to staging area. 1:30 pm Arrival to the corner of 6th Avenue and 42 nd Street. Line up on West 45th Street between 5th and 6 th Ave. Warm up here. 2:00 pm Staging area and rehearsal TBD 11:00 am Step off. Participate in the St. Patrick s Day Parade. With the first parade held on March 17, 1762, it still holds its tradition of being a marcher s parade hosting 150,000-200,000 marchers in front of approximately 2 million spectators. (Parade Time: 11 am 4:30 pm) 3:30 pm Load coaches and transfer to your hotel to change. Some sights you are sure to see include St. Patrick s Cathedral, Little Italy, Chinatown and Battery Park. Times Square On your own in Times Square. Enjoy free time in Times Square. 2:30 pm Meet at the Gershwin Theatre. 3:00 pm Attend Wicked at the Gershwin Theatre. Statue of Liberty/ Ellis Island The Statue of Liberty was a gift from France, dedicated on October 28, 1886, was designated as a National Monument in 1924 and restored for her centennial on July 4, 1986. The selfguided audio tour is included for both Liberty Island and Ellis Island. 10:55 am Ferry sails to Ellis Island. On your own on Liberty or Ellis Island 12:40 pm Ferry sails to Battery Park. 12:50 pm Arrive at Battery Park. 1:00 pm Walk as a group to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. 2:00 pm The Memorial Museum, located at the World Trade Center site, is to bear solemn witness to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993. The museum honors the nearly 3,000 victims of these attacks and all those who risked their lives to save others. 9/11 Memorial Visit the site of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States. The names of the nearly 3,000 victims of the September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993 terrorist attacks are inscribed on bronze panels lining the two pools. Waterfalls cascade down all four sides of each pool, creating a special place for remembrance and reflection. The surrounding plaza is filled with oak trees and a callery pear known as the Survivor Tree, which was nursed back to health after surviving the 9/11 attacks. 4:15 pm Walk as a group to One World Observatory. 4:30 pm Board one of five dedicated elevators and ascend to the 102nd floor of the observatory in under 60 seconds, with 360-degree views in all directions, taking in the iconic sights, surrounding waters and panoramic views of the city and beyond.
