Ride or Drive To a party March Card Party One of the last few before riding season March 9th takes us to the Van Antwerps in Seymour. Everything starts at 6:00pm. Give them a call for directions at 812.521.7335. The parties are of course weather dependent as we want everyone to be safe. Apologies for the error in dates last month. The dog must have distracted me, or was it a drunk squirrel on Facebook. Anyway will try to limit the mistakes, but nobody is perfect.
A message from Kay Hello Chapter W, When oh when is spring gonna get here? Riding season cannot come fast enough! Bring your ride thoughts to the gathering on Wednesday as we will begin putting it all down on paper. Remember, there are no bad rides as long as we together and having fun. Speaking of fun, what a great time we had in Shipshewana at Winter Rendezvous 2019. Hats off to the district team members that planned such a great event. We had forgotten how much we missed seeing everyone. Although we came in second place in the costume contest, the fun and comradery we experienced while planning and making the costumes was priceless! The district team tried a new competition this year which they borrowed from the Illinois District. It was a chapter table contest not like the centerpiece contest from the past. This was more like a chapter pride table so to speak. Again, the fun we had in putting all of our best memories, trophies, certificates, scrapbooks along with a great sense of decorating style was priceless. We were up against some pretty serious competition, but we won first place. Way to go Chapter W!! March is knocking at the door and so is St. Patrick s Day. Whether you are Irish or not, please wear something green to this month s gathering and see what we have up our sleeves for fun. If we haven t seen you in a while, please come back and check us out. Every month is different as the regulars are finding out. Until next time, Kay

2019 Winter Rendezvous Memories in the making!
From our Indiana District Ride Educators: -15 then 55, back to 12 then up to 60. Kinda reminds me of riding in the mountains of Tennessee! You just gotta keep your head up and look where you want to go! Speaking of keeping your head and looking where you want to go, where do YOU want to go this year in regards to riding? Do you want to keep riding like you ve always ridden or are you ready to put in some effort and make yourself the best and safest rider/co-rider you can be?!?!?!?!?!?! That s right, it s time your hard working Indiana Rider Course Instructors are trying to get our 2019 rider courses set up. We have a dedicated group of trainers who will go just about anywhere in Indiana to put on ARC, TRC, Trailing, and Trike Trailering courses. These courses are fantastic ways to bring your riding and co-riding skills back from their long winter s nap and get them fresh and crisp for the upcoming riding season. We also spend some time getting your brains back to thinking about riding and give you some time proven tips on keeping riders and co-riders safe from cagers immersed in everything except driving. Does this sound like something you, your Chapter, or your region of the state needs and wants? (The correct answer is HECK YA!) Well we need your help! While we have dedicated instructors, we do not have the means to find open, flat, paved areas suitable for a riding range in your neck of the woods. While we love to ride, we can t travel all the roads in Indiana hunting for possible ranges. What we d like is for you to help us out by giving us suggestions on possible locations. Could be a church parking lot, college campus, business, abandoned business lot, etc,. We can deal with some light poles, drains, etc. What we re looking for is a lot that is 310 x 206 for ARC (includes 40 runoff on all sides) and 280 x 200 for a TRC. In a perfect world the location would be available both Saturdays and Sundays so the instructors only have to spend one weekend at that location. We d need access to the site on Friday to get the range marked. We will also need a classroom (room with tables, chairs for up to 12, and power) but that s a lot easier to find once we know where the range is going to be. PLEASE help us out. We love putting on these courses and we want to give everyone relatively close access to training. Putting the power of the over 2000 Indiana GWRRA members to work on this means we should have potential ranges coming out of our ears!!!! Thanks for your continued support of the rider courses and stay tuned for our 2019 offerings! Until next time Rick and Debbie Warmels
