FUN TIMES SOUTH FLORIDA AIRSTREAM CLUB Wally Byam Caravan Club International Feb/Mar 2017 PRESIDENT S MESSAGE WOW! Christmas has come and gone; and our January Rally at Red Oaks RV Resort is now a fond memory. The tour of the Villages was interesting and informative. Most memorable was the visit to Boyett s Grove in Brooksville: they have a little zoo behind their store. We got to walk around seeing and feeding the animals. The owner gave a nice talk on the history of the grove and we got a huge dish of ice cream at the end of the tour. In February, we then went to Sarasota for the Do Nothing rally. We had 15 Airstreams that stayed Monday through Friday and one that stayed 2 nights. Members of the Kentucky Unit and the South Florida Unit enjoyed visiting numerous places and the many restaurants. We all agreed to have another Do Nothing rally in the future. Our upcoming rally is March 1 to 5, and is shaping up nicely. This is a joint rally with the Jacksonville Unit. We have 23 units signed up. Our plans for the Chili Cook-off with prizes has 10 people making chili and the rest of us will eat it! Several people are signed up to see Willie Nelson and family at the Strawberry Festival on Friday and the rest of us will eat Strawberry Short cake, Mmmmm can t wait! We have two new members coming to the rally, I am so excited to meet them. Yours truly and husband, Dave along with Donna and Tony Laurie are off to the Cajun Caravan and then on to Region three rally in Hiwassee, GA. So long for now, and look forward to a report on our travels in the next Fun Times. God Bless, Fran President Boyett s Grove in Brooksville

Member News Unit 30 Ingelore M. Boerner died Jan. 22, 2017. Inge was born Nov. 22, 1928 in Stettin, Germany. She was predeceased by her mother, Margarete, on July 8, 1945, and her father, Richard, on Sept. 7, 1981, and her sister, Gisela Novovic in 1984. Inge leaves behind her loving husband of 57 years, Gundolf, as well as her daughters, Ute Campbell (Dan) of Brownville, New York, and Christine Cornetto (Chuck) of Deland, Florida, and three grandchildren, Kirsten Richnavsky (Thomas Frowein) of Ballston Spa, New York, Alex Richnavsky (Amanda Ridella) of Fort Hood, Texas, and Caitlyn Cornetto (JJ Moraes) of FSU, Tallahassee, Florida. After retiring, they stayed in Lake Placid for another 15 years. They then moved to Deland, Florida, spending most of their summers in northern New York. Inge, along with Gundolf and her family, travelled extensively throughout the USA and Canada via Airstream, BMW motorcycle and Bluebird motorhome. After retiring, their love of travel included excursions to Germany and Europe, making new friends wherever they went. Inge was a wonderful wife, mother and Oma to her family.
