Plaques for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be given out. This is fun to watch so don t miss out. All bikes are welcome and everyone is encouraged to par cipate. Page 1 SEPTEMBER Y E AR S IRUSA s 5th Annual Family & Friends Picnic Can you believe that this is going to be our 5th year having this event! WOW! That s all I can say. I just want to say that if it wasn t for all of you wonderful people this could not happen. We have this event to bring all of us closer together and have some fun mes so we can look back at these memories and have a smile on our faces. This year we are s ll having the water balloon toss with a $25.00 GIFT CARD TO EACH OF THE WINNERS! So plan on ge ng a li le wet and having fun while doing it. Next we will have a new game that Glenda came up with so get excited and we ll see what she came up with. Now comes the best part of the day, the food! We will be having a Taco Truck and from what I understand it s all authen c. He will be cooking right there in front of us. The Tac Truck will be there from 12:00 to 3:00 making taco s non stop for everyone. Have as many as you want. He will also be bringing rice and beans and we will be suppling the desserts, water, and so drinks. At this park they allow adult beverages so bring your own, we will have plenty of ice for the day. When you come into the park there are envelopes asking for $5 for parking. It s done by the honor system. The park ranger might come around and ask to see your cket, just a heads up. See you all Sunday. Let s have some fun. OH, I forgot! Raffle prizes and more raffle prizes!!!! 15, 201 8

Rick & Jodi - Founders PAGE 2 Founders Corner By Rick & Jodi As we all know our 5th annual friends and family picnic is this Sunday. Times like this make Jodi and I so happy, seeing everyone get together and having a great me. Enjoying the outdoors and playing in the events that have been planned. The most exci ng part of a picnic is the food. What would a picnic be with- out the food. This year we re doing something different than all the other years. We suggested a taco truck and it went over like bu er on corn! Lol We will also have desserts and drinks. The best thing that comes out of this is seeing everyone talking to one another and laughing together and just enjoying the day. Everyone seems to like the new picnic loca on from last year so we think Oak Park will work out for us next year also. It s pre y private and we have all the room we need from doing the slow race to sea ng everyone under the pa o cover to doing all the other games we have planned. This year IRUSA has decided not to charge non members a $5.00 charge for the picnic. Hope to see all family s, friends, and members Sunday, and yes we will have great prizes to give out also. This is going to be a fun day! Let s wish our Birthday Member a very Special day! Birthday s Cheryl Cheryl - Club Secretary INDEPENDENT NEWS Secretary s Report By Mrs. Cheryl Ackerman From the desk of the Secretary There were 20 members in a endance Rick passed on a hello from Barbara The picnic was discussed & the details given: Taco Truck, new games, bring side dishes There were no membership renewals this month The Vegas trip was talked about Sco told us about the wonderful trip he & the others went on & gave sugges ons to anyone else wan ng to head up that way. Dave discussed the tragedy of a Top Rocker employee passing away in a motorcycle accident & reminded us of the dangers of drinking and riding Cheryl gave a sugges on for a ride for next year Mike A. talked about his Mustang seat The des na on a er the mee ng was changed to Santa Paula Flight 126 Café. Mary won the gas card & Jodi won the 50 / 50 Ride Safe IRUSA

Winners Circle Jodi s Trivia & Fun Facts PAGE 3 Mary Jodi Michael Well well, look who won the gas card. It s your lucky day! Good for you Mary. Let s see if you can do it again next month. Jodi seems to have an inside scoop on how to win. Remember she won 4 months in a row. What ever it is it pays for our lunch. It s always a good day when you get your lunch for free! It was a fun day and to top it off we had a delicious lunch. Congratula ons!!! On Nov. 21, 2017 the world record was broken for the most people on a motorcycle at one me. Can you guess how many people? Answer: 58 men El Pescador By Rick Today s ride will be going to a li le town called Fillmore. Fillmore is located off Highway 126. Most everyone has been through this town going to the beach or just to take a nice ride. Dave will be taking us to a very well-known Mexican Seafood restaurant called El Pescador. We have been going to El Pescador since it opened. The food is authen c and Chuy, the owner is a great guy. Watch out though, he gives everyone tequila shots so heads up! It shouldn t be too hot today but s ll bring plenty of water. Have fun and enjoy the ride. Santa Paula Café Last Month s Rides Big Bear Our first ride went to Golita by Santa Barbara to a small hideaway called Beachside café. The only way you would know about this place is if someone told you about it. We sat out on the pa o that had a cool breeze and a killer view of the ocean. You will not be disappointed with the food, service and of course the view. Very clean and casual. If you love fresh seafood or just a burger than this will not disappoint anyone. This des na on will be on next years ride schedule for sure! Our second ride was suppose to go to the Way Point at the Camarillo Airport but the wait was going to be to long so we decided to go a li le farther north to Santa Paula airport. What a find. I was told this place closed for awhile and reopened recently. We sat outside on the pa o and it had a nice cool breeze. The food was delicious and Jodi bought birthday desserts for the group. Thank you Jodi for the sweet surprise! Another great day. Our third ride was an over night ride to Big Bear. As always this trip was amazing. It seems the al tude makes everyone relax and let lose! We took a walk to the Village and had dinner at Murry s Saloon and a er dinner we walked through the Village and to top off the evening we stopped at Ben & Jerrys and had an ice cream! The next day we took the back way down the mountain and rode to The apple orchards to Apple Annies and had lunch. Than we took the beau ful scenic route back to the hotel. Once we got back to the hotel we started the whole rou ne over again and had a great evening. Can t wait ll next year. Remember, Ride Hard but safe!
