MOTION 101/16 Seconded by Councillor King That the minutes of the Committee of the Whole minutes of April 4, 2016 and the Regular Open minutes of April 4, 2016 be adopted. BUSINESS ARISING FROM PRIOR MINUTES 1. MOTION IC 81/16 (from closed meeting April 18, 2016) re: Destination Osoyoos Lease - 8701 Main Street Mayor McKortoff read the following resolution from the closed meeting: MOTION IC 81/16 Seconded by Councillor Rhodes That the required advertising be placed giving notice of Council s intention to lease the property known as 8701 Main Street to Destination Osoyoos; AND that after the notice has been given, that the Town signatories be authorized to sign the three year lease agreement with Destination Osoyoos for the use of 8701 Main Street, with the possibility of a renewal for an additional three years, with a lease payment of $24,823 per year plus CPI. Randy Bosch, Inspector Hewco, Cpl Jason Bayda and Rick Dellabur Mayor s Prayer Breakfast discussion on the fires in Oliver and Osoyoos last year and the response. Oliver Fire Chief Dan Skaros and Director of Corporate Services Janette Van Vianen discussed response to the fires. Earth Day Friday Council will be attending SILGA this week in Kelowna. Kudos to Kelly Law in her first time organizing this event. We had well over 100 people in attendance. Adult slow-pitch league has started and will run on Monday evening starting at 6 pm at Desert Park. Lions Park has been completed with new tot playground equipment and we have added an infant seat. Staff is attending the annual BCRPA (British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association) symposium in Whistler next week. We are in the process of replacing the wall at the tennis courts. The RCMP organized the Community Safety Forum at the Sonora Community Center on Thursday, April 14 th CORPORATE SERVICES FINANCE Cemetery Records transferred into Vadim system, training and testing scheduled for later this year.
