Forest Hill Blvd. at Kirk Road Widening Project FM#: 435122-1-52-01 Project Scope This 0.298-mile project began Nov. 17, 2016 and is expected to be completed in summer 2017, weather permitting. The construction cost is $1.3 million. Work is being performed by Weekley Asphalt Paving, Inc., with FDOT overseeing the project. The remaining sidewalk on the northwest side of the intersection will continue to be removed. Lane Closures Expected this Week: Project-related lane closures can be expected, daily, 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, through spring 2017. Sidewalk Closures & Pedestrian Detours: The sidewalk in the northeast quadrant, between Kirk Rd. and Royal Forest, is currently closed. The sidewalk in the northwest quadrant, between Kirk Rd. and Forest Lakes, is partially removed at this time, with the remaining expected to be removed completely this week. Below is the marked detour route for pedestrians. *NEW* Palm Springs Middle School Temporary Bus Routes: The Palm Beach County School Board has provided temporary additional bus routes for students who walk to school. Please see pg. 2 for updated pick-up times and locations. The contractor is also providing police officers to cross students in the am/pm at both Royal Forest (east side) and Forest Lakes (west side).
