Monday March 17, - Extra patrols were used to keep an eye on people out celebrating St. Patrick's Day. Tuesday March 25, - A new RAPISCAN Unit arrived at the Municipal Building. Unit was put together and is now in service to scan for weapons etc.. that may be on a persons possession when entering the municipal building for court or other various reasons. The RAPISCAN Unit was awarded to the Village by a previous court grant that was applied for late last year. Wednesday March 26, - Chief Papasergi and Sgt. McGraw attended a Catt. Co. Chief of Police Association Meeting in Allegany, NY. March - Worked on the 08-09 Police Budget - Requesting the addition of another full-time officer which is a very important step in preparing for the future of this department and our community.

Thursday April 3, - Conducted a Police Meeting at the Municipal Building. Monday April 7, - Sr. Ptlm Peterson talked to BOCES Students at the OP Bar - Bartender Class Friday April 10, - Chief Papasergi and Code Officer Jobe chased and caught approximately six chickens and/or roosters that were running loose in village and causing a traffic hazard on Main Street. Several complaints were received throughout the morning in reference to same. Took chickens and/or roosters to an area farm. Wednesday April 16, - Our department assisted ICE(Immigration and Customs Enforcement) Agents with the execution of arrest and search warrants and the arrest of approx. 10 undocumented aliens on West Main Street in the village. NY State Police also assisted. Tuesday April 23, - Chief Papasergi and Sr Ptlm. Peterson attended a BONAGANY Meeting.

Thursday May 22 and Friday May 23, - Chief Papasergi conducted Safety Talks and showed the Police Car to Sonshine Nursery School Youths - 4 Groups approximately 81 Youths. Wednesday May 21, - Our Department participated with a BUNY Road Check on Rt. 417 in the village - New York State Police and State Park Police also participated. Monday May 26, - Extra police patrols were used to assist with traffic for the annual Memorial Day Parade. Wednesday May 28, - Chief Papasergi attended a Cattaraugus County Chief of Police Association Meeting in Ellicottville. Thursday May 29, - Chief Papasergi attended a Zone 13 Counter Terrorism Meeting at Saint Bonaventure University.

Incident was turned over to NYS Police on their arrival, with our department assisting at scene. Saturday July 12 and Sunday July 13, - Officers from our department worked traffic and security for the annual Bonafest Event in the vilage. Monday July 14, - Anthony Bartucca was appointed as a Part-Time Patrolman by the Village Board.

Talked to youth about police duties and showed them the police car. Saturday August 23, - Patrolman Harrison responded to a 911 report of a two year old male choking. Officer Harrison started resuscitation on child which assisted in saving his life.

Wednesday September 10, - Patrolman Baker conducted Range Qualification Practice at the Olean Dempsey Club - Chief Papasergi, Sgt. McGraw, Patrolman Snyder, Gonska, Conner, Baker and Graham participated. Sunday September 13, - Our department responded to a report of a bomb threat at Wal-Mart- assisted management with evacuating building and parking lot area. Turned incident over to Catt. Co. Sheriffs Dept. on their arrival - assisted at scene until building was determined safe. Monday September 15, - Several tree limbs were blown down due to large wind storm that came through area. DPW Crew called out to take care of same. Wednesday September 17, - Chief Papasergi and Sgt. McGraw attended a meeting at St. Bonaventure University - talked about various responsibilities in case of a major incident.

Peterson, Ptlm. Snyder, Gonska, Baker and Bartucca participated. Wednesday September 17, - Patrolman Gonska and Justice Brennan talked to group of SBU students about laws and police related matters. Saturday September 20, - Extra Police Patrols were used to keep an eye persons in town for the Annual Bonagany Event.

Sunday, October 12, - Patrolman Graham and Bartucca participated with a Kids Day Program at the Allegany American Legion. Our department fingerprinted youth for their parents. Monday, October 20, - Timothy Blovsky and Matthew Finnerty were appointed as Part-Time Police Patrolman at the Allegany Village Board Meeting. Friday October 31, - Extra Police Patrols were used to keep an eye on persons out celbrating Halloween. Also checked candy at the Allegany Park-N-Shop Store on Haloween night. The 2003 and 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe Police Vehicles were taken out of service and the new Dodge Durango and 2009 Ford Crown Victoria Police vehicles were put into service. The new Police Computers were installed in all police vehicles - should be in service sometime in December.
