Canyonlands of the Southwest DAILY ITINERARY September 5-11, 2018 Day 1 Las Vegas Fly west to the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas. Upon arrival, we ll drive the famous strip and take in the sights of the city that never sleeps. Check into the Golden Nugget hotel. Tonight, enjoy the entertainment of the Fremont Street Experience just steps from our hotel. Meals: D Day 3 Bryce Canyon / Lake Powell This morning we ll explore the overlooks of Bryce Canyon National Park, a wonder of nature s sculpted pillars of red, yellow, and brown limestone. After enjoying lunch, our journey leads to the Lake Powell Resort. Surrounded by stunning views, we check in for a two-night stay. Meals: B, L, D Day 2 Zion Nat l Park / Bryce Canyon Depart Las Vegas and travel north to Zion National Park for amazing scenery this afternoon. Board an open tram that will take us past the park s famous scenic wonders. See the Great White Throne, Watchman, Angel s Landing, and Weeping Rock. Our afternoon drive takes us from Zion to another scenic marvel, Bryce Canyon National Park. Our lodging is at Ruby s Inn, just outside of the park. Meals: B, D Zion Nat l Park, UT Zion Nat l Park, UT Day 4 Lake Powell Lake Powell, a reservoir on the Colorado River, is one of the most scenic lakes in the world. The morning is set aside for some rest and relaxation. You may wish to join the group for a trip to get a close look at the nearby Glen Canyon Dam. Tonight, enjoy a scenic dinner cruise on the lake. Zion Nat l Park, UT Day 5 Grand Canyon Travel south from Lake Powell and pay a visit to an authentic Navajo trading post. Our afternoon will be spent exploring the many scenic overlooks on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, one of the natural wonders of the world. This is sure to be an experience that will likely leave us feeling speechless. Check into our lodging at the Holiday Inn Express Grand Canyon in nearby Tusayan. Meals: B, D Day 7 Travel Home A morning transfer to the Phoenix airport awaits us. Natural and manmade scenic wonders, boat rides, and photo opportunities have filled our journey through a special part of our country. Meals: B Glen Canyon Dam, AZ Day 6 Oak Creek Canyon / Sedona A winding road takes us through scenic Oak Creek Canyon, Arizona s first official scenic highway. Arrive in Sedona in time to scatter for some lunch. Visit galleries and browse unique shops at Tlaquepaque, an arts and crafts village on the banks of Oak Creek. You are in the heart of red rock country and an excursion with the famous Pink Jeep Tours provides some great photo opportunities this afternoon! GUEST PROTECTION PLAN Our Industry-Leading Guest Protection Plan is an excellent value and consists of a Cancellation Fee Waiver administered by Landmark Tours and Post Departure Insurance Benefits administered by Travel Insured International Cancellation Fee Waiver Trip Cancellation: With the purchase of the Landmark Tours Guest Protection, you may cancel for any reason and receive a full refund of tour payments as long as we are notified one day before your tour departs.
