GENERAL Taigh Fuirich is located in a quiet rural setting which is easily accessible. The River Tay close by is the longest river in Scotland and home to the Atlantic salmon, freshwater pearl mussel and otters. Nearby Strathtay is a glory of colour in the spring, with bluebell covered woods and daffodil displays. Strathtay is on the national cycle network and for the walking enthusiast Strathtay is part of the Rob Roy Way and there is a track leading to Pitlochry. After about 3 miles you will come to the village of Grandtully. Turn right over the bridge and go straight up the hill, following the signs for churches and the village shop. After 0.2 mile, turn left along the tree line signed Ballinduin. The road is a track here, but after a few yards becomes a proper road once more. About 0.3 mile further on you will come to three cottages on the left on the side of the hill. The first is Allt Mor and Taigh Fuirich is the next gate on the left. From Aberfeldy turn right into Taybridge Road at the Cross Roads/ traffic lights, after crossing Wades Bridge turn right at the end of the Poplar Avenue on to the Strathtay Road and continue for about 4.5 miles. On passing a small stone bridge, turn immediately left. Follow the road up the hill and take the next left turn.
