Directors AMA Charter 3233 Coordinators Ray & Elma Taylor Ted & Terri Beers Phone: (607) 563-2083 Phone: (607) 988-0081 Volume 28, No 5 Online at: www.amadist3.com/hhr May 2013 APRIL BREAKFAST Forty-six attended the breakfast today, much better than the 26 from last month. Some of that was due to our southern members returning. Not all of them as yet, but more will be here for our Spring Fling. Some previous members that we haven t seen in a while also attended. Our winner of the birthday drawing was Larry Steiner and the 50/50 was won by Fred Brotschul who also had a good day by winning 2 of the scratchoffs along with Linda Karl who won $1.00, Elsa won (2x), Ruth Reynolds, Jim (2x) and Bruce, both from the kitchen and Dave Davidson. Phyllis Zona donated two retread patches that were won by Judy Knapp and Fred Brotschul. She also has some motorcycle related items that she would like to sell, if you are interested call her at 369-9269. The breakfast was finished up with Ted s jokes See you next month Terri Happy Spring Fling 2013 We had our annual Spring Fling on the last day in April, with 58 in attendance. Brooks Bar-B-Que did their usual great banquet and I believe it was enjoyed by all. Our snow birds were back, at least most of them, and Carolyn Thies made it, in spite of just getting out of the hospital a couple of days before the Spring Fling. The events of the past year were talked about as well as those coming up in the next season, which thanks to good weather will be starting soon. We will have the regular ice cream runs on Tues, the Weds rides, an overnighter to Western Pa, hosted by Skip & Peggy Beijen- as well as the Poker Run in Aug. Then we will have a combined picnic & Chili Run in Sept. and end the season with our Holiday Party in November, which will be held at Brooks this year. We want to thank all the volunteers that helped make the year a great success and thank Ted & Terri for all their hard work. Sadly they were not able to attend the Spring Fling this year, as they caught the stomach bug. So we did our best to take their place, which is a hard one to fill. Thanks to all of the Retreads who make this club, one of the best - Ray & Elma 1
