With this trade fair service booklet we would like to make your preparation for the trade fair easy and comfortable. Please note in particular the exhibitor conditions that you accept with your registration and the following important note: Due to different country-specific organizing models, the application conditions differ. For practice enterprises that do not come from Germany, Austria or Switzerland, only the order options and conditions listed in this issue and in the online registration portal for international exhibitors apply! Reasons for Arranging Practice Enterprises Trade Fairs The preparation for a sales fair places new demands on the practice enterprises. Encounters with business partners from other practice enterprises and direct communication are possible at trade fairs for practice enterprises only. The students will conduct realistic negotiations related to the conclusion of a contract during the fair. They learn to assess negotiating partners and experience a strengthening of their self-confidence. Moreover, the communication takes place in different foreign languages and shows the participants the importance of foreign language skills for a successful conclusion of a contract. The experience of leading successful negotiations and showing team spirit and a spirit of cooperation is one of the qualifications that can only be gained at a trade fair. After the trade fairs experience is gained in evaluating the conclusion of contracts and their implementation in delivery and invoice. Trade fairs for practice enterprises offer practice enterprises from the field of vocational schools and institutes of adult education the opportunity to present their capability publicly. Registration To register please use the online portal hosted by the ACT Austrian Center for Training Firms. You will find it here via trade fair website: www.uebungsfirmenmesse2018.eu/englisch/registration.html or directly: http://uefas.act.at/act_ma_user_create.asp?foreign=1. In this portal, please register your school/hosting institution first. After registration, you will receive a mail including an activation code to the email address you entered when you registered. Activate your trade fair account by entering this code via the link provided. All participating practice enterprises of your school/hosting institution must be registered via this one fair account. Separate fair accounts for individual practice enterprises cannot be created. Use the menu item "Exhibitors" to register all participating practice enterprises individually. This can be done by using the button. The information you enter there will be used for entry in the exhibitor directory. Please do not forget to enter your practice enterprise code. Use the menu item Booths to order the requested booths. This can be done by using the button : Select one booth type for each practice firm you registered. Then move to menu item Exhibitors and link each of the exhibiting practice enterprises with one of the chosen booths (use ). If two or three practice enterprises should share an extended booth resp. double-size booth, select the requested booth type (in-line or corner). Then move to menu item Exhibitors and link each of the two/three exhibiting practice enterprises with this booth (use ). Please do not forget to link each booth with the exhibitors as described above. This link is important for various operations in and after the registration process (e.g. invoicing, evaluation for the list of exhibitors, etc.). Please note that you cannot make any changes to your order after sending it. Afterwards no further exhibitors can be registered. Therefore please make sure that all practice enterprises of your school/hosting institution are registered before sending the order! No automatically generated order confirmation will be sent. After submitting your order, only the menu item "Orders" remains visible in the trade fair account. Booths Single Booth You have to order at least one booth-unit single booth (3x4 m) for each practice enterprise. It is not allowed to share one booth unit with several exhibitors and it is not possible to change the exhibitors on a daily basis. Extended Booth If you want to share a booth with a co-exhibitor, you have to order the booth type extended booth. This booth measures 3x6m and can be shared by (up to) two practice enterprises. Double-Size Booth A double-size booth (3x8 m) consists of two stand units and can be shared by (up to) three practice enterprises. Overview: single booth (In-line or corner position) 3x4m 1 exhibitor extended single booth (In-line or corner position) 3x6m up to 2 exhibitors double-size booth (In-line or corner position) 3x8m up to 3 exhibitors All registered practice enterprises (exhibitors and co-exhibitors) must be present for the entire duration of the fair. Exhibitors are not permitted to alternate (with or without booth reconstruction). Each stand unit is equipped with a 1,5 kw power connection. The booth walls consist of elements of perforated and white lacquered hardboard, 1 mm thick, 2,5 m high and 1 m wide. The elements are connected by means of 35cm long U-profiles. The elements can be covered with easily removable double-sided adhesive tapes. The usage of mirror or carpet tapes is not permitted. All adhesive tapes must be removed completely after the fair. The fascia boards are 30 cm high and can be labeled by the exhibitor. If required, you can order a professionally printed fascia board labeling at an additional charge. You can find the order option by using the button to be found via the menu item exhibitors. The labeling is digitally printed on 3mm Forex panel in the dimension 200x30cm. Types of Booths The following types of booths are available: 1) In-line booth (single size 3x4m): Single booth (3 x 4 m) with two sidewalls and one fascia board 810,00 net (up to 1 exhibitor) 2) In-line booth (extended size 3x6m): Extended booth (3 x 6 m) with two sidewalls and one fascia board 1.215,00 net (up to 2 exhibitors) 3) In-line booth (double size 3x8m): Double booth (3 x 8 m) with two sidewalls and one fascia board 1.620,00 net (up to 3 exhibitors) 4) Corner booth* (single size 3x4m): Single booth (3 x 4 m) with one sidewall, one side panel and one fascia board 870,00 net (up to 1 exhibitor) 5) Corner booth* (extended size 3x6m): Extended booth (3 x 6 m) with one sidewall, one side panel and one fascia board 1.275,00 net (up to 2 exhibitors) 6) Corner booth* (double size 3x8m): Double booth (3 x 8 m) with one sidewall, one side panel and two fascia boards 1.680,00 net (up to 3 exhibitors) * Since the number of corner space is limited, the assignment is made without obligation by the organizer based on the first come, first served principle. Sanitary Installations If you need additional sanitary installations, please send an e-mail with your requirements to messe@zuef-edu.de. Media Technology, Telecommunications and Internet WLAN for free The halls are equipped with a free WLAN that can be used by visitors and exhibitors. This network is used via a browser login, the connection is disconnected at regular intervals (approx. every 2-3 hours) and must be re-established via a new login. Separate WLAN against charge For all exhibitors who want an interruption free online connection, the fair offers a separate WLAN access against payment. For a fee of 75,00 you get your own WLAN code, which is valid from November 19 to November 22, 2018. There is no data or time limitation and there are no other additional costs. Separate LAN-Connection against charge Alternatively, a separate LAN connection (DSL: 10 Mb/s download, 5 Mb/s upload) is available. You get a LAN connection for one device, if you want to connect several devices, you have to bring and set up your own router. The fee for this service amounts to 135,00 incl. data consumption. There are no other additional costs. The free WLAN does not have to be ordered. Exhibition Terms and Conditions (March 20, 2018) These terms and conditions apply with or in addition to the house rules of the Messezentrum Dornbirn GmbH. By registering for the trade fair exhibitors agree to meet the exhibitor conditions. The organizer reserves the right to exclude practice enterprises, who do not comply with the regulations, from future practice enterprise trade fairs and to inform the institution s management. Set up and Dismantling, Opening Hours, Personell Booth set up and dismantling is not permitted during trade fair business hours. Set up: Dismantling: Monday, November 19th, 2018 8 am to 8 pm Tuesday, November 20th, 2018 8.30 am to 9.30 am Thursday, November 22nd, 2018 as of 12 pm The exhibitors commit themselves to ensure that booths are constantly staffed during trade fair business hours: Tuesday, November 20th, 2018, 10 am to 5 pm Wednesday, November 21st, 2018, 9 am to 5 pm Thursday, November 22 nd, 2018 9am to 12 pm Exhibitors are not permitted to alternate (with or without booth reconstruction). Liability Insurance Host Risk The organizer effected a host liability insurance covering damages caused by the host. Liability Insurance Exhibitors Risk There is no exhibitors personal legal liability insurance effected by the organizer. Please check your insurance contracts, whether your institution s business liability insurance covers the exhibitors liability. Insurance for Fair Goods Fair goods are not insured against damage or loss caused by third parties. Please check with your institution, whether you should arrange a transport or theft insurance at your side. Ambulance Service The ambulance service is available during set up and dismantling time and fair business hours. Health Insurance of Foreign Participants for Medical Emergencies Please check whether the health insurance in your country covers medical and hospital costs in Austria. Otherwise, please arrange own additional insurance for acute medical emergencies. The organizer does not cover medical and hospital costs. Fire Regulations I. General fire prevention 1.1. Maintaining order and tidiness in the hall are basic requirements for fire and accident protection. 1.2. Existing smoking bans must be observed. The use of open light and fire is generally not permitted. The use of candles etc. may be permitted by the fire protection officer. Attention must be paid to non-combustible substrates and the necessary distance to combustible materials. Furthermore, a time limit can be provided, e.g.: Any kind of candle or open light must be constantly observed by persons and must be extinguished when leaving the room. Event halls and the open-air grounds are excluded from the ban after approval by the persons authorised by the trade fair. 1 st European Practice Enterprises Trade Fair 2018 Service Booklet for Exhibitors page 11

1.3. The use of individual heating and cooking appliances and radiant heaters is prohibited, with the exception of kitchenettes and catering areas at trade fairs and events. Exceptions are only permitted with the approval of BSB, subject to the necessary safety regulations (e.g. distances to flammable objects, use of non-combustible paddings, disconnecting power plug after the end of operation). 1.4. Hot work (welding, cutting, soldering, etc.) may only be carried out after prior approval (release certificate) by the general management or the fire protection officer. Excluded from this are workshops provided for this purpose and equipped accordingly. 1.5. The electrical systems must be operated and maintained in accordance with regulations. Flammable materials and decorative materials must not come into direct contact with lighting fixtures. 1.6. Storage of any kind, whether flammable or non-combustible, in unsuitable places (corridors, escape routes and other traffic routes, etc.) is prohibited. 1.7. Extinguishing equipment (wall hydrants and portable fire extinguishers) may not - even temporarily - be obstructed, withdrawn from view (e.g. by means of clothing or decorative material suspended above them), removed inappropriately from the prescribed places of installation or used for any other purpose. 1.8. Information signs relating to fire protection and escape routes and emergency luminaires must not be taken out of sight, damaged or removed. 1.9. Escape and rescue routes as well as areas for the fire brigade (access roads, installation and movement areas) may not be obstructed by parking vehicles in the exhibition centre. 1.10. The electrical equipment must be switched off after the end of work as far as possible. Waste Disposal Each exhibitor is responsible for its own waste disposal. Waste containers are sufficiently available. Waste may be disposed of in household quantities only. Larger quantities are subject to a charge. Cleaning Each booth will be cleaned once before it is handed over. If you require daily cleaning, you can order it from Messegesellschaft Dornbirn at your charge. Hazardous Waste The storage of hazardous waste on the exhibition grounds is strictly prohibited. Ban on Alcohol and Smoking Serving and consuming alcoholic beverages and smoking in the exhibition halls are strictly prohibited. Wardrobe A wardrobe is available in the foyer during the fair opening hours. Sound Noise level must not exceed 40 DBA! This applies in particular to acoustic or audiovisual presentations at the exhibition stand. (Measured at the stand boundary). Each exhibitor has to inform AKM personally and in time about music or audio-visual demonstrations at the booth and to pay the resulting fees. HOUSE RULES of Messe Dornbirn GmbH The fairground is a private area. The owner is Messe Dornbirn GmbH. In addition to the organizer, Messe Dornbirn GmbH exercises the householder's rights. The house rules and regulations apply to all persons entering, using or staying on the private grounds of Messe Dornbirn. Tickets must be kept by visitors. Persons who cannot identify themselves during their stay with a valid admission ticket or a pass from Messe Dornbirn or the organizer can be expelled from the exhibition grounds. Abidance - Young People Young people of age under 14 years may be present on the exhibition grounds if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian only. Exceptions apply in the case of explicit posting at the entrances or cash desks only. Abidance - Visitors The facilities approved for event visitors are to be used carefully and sparingly. All other facilities and installations may not be entered or put into operation by visitors. Exhibits may be entered in the presence of booth personnel only. Visitors have to leave the event and the grounds at the end of the opening hours. Photographing, Filming, Drawing Photographing, filming and drawing on the entire exhibition grounds and in the halls, in particular of the exhibits and events, is permitted for persons who have been approved for this by the organizer and hold a valid ID issued by the organizer only. Smoking There is a strict smoking ban in the buildings of Messe Dornbirn. Smoking areas are marked with appropriate signs. Security-Check Depending on the nature of the event, it may be prohibited to take coats, jackets, umbrellas, bags and similar containers into the event. For safety reasons, the contents of bags and similar containers and clothing such as coats, jackets and capes and vehicles may be checked. Weapons and dangerous objects Weapons or items suitable as weapons may not be brought into the area or used. Exceptions apply in the case of explicit posting at the entrances and ticket offices for certain events only. Dogs and other Animals Dogs and other animals may not be brought into the grounds or buildings. Exceptions apply in the case of explicit posting at the entrances and cash desks only. In the event of an exception, dogs must always be kept on a lead and muzzled. Safety Instructions The instructions of the building services, the exhibition staff and/or the exhibition management, as well as the security and supervisory personnel must always be followed. In case of violations of the house rules, a house ban can be issued.
