Stakeholders Consultation with Aviation & Tourism Industry 04 June 2018, New Delhi In continuation to round table on Aviation and Tourism organized during Wings India 2018 held in Hyderabad, FICCI along with Ministry of Civil Aviation (MOCA) organized a Stakeholder consultation with Aviation and Tourism industry on 04 June 2018 at FICCI, New Delhi. The objective of the stakeholder consultation was to strive a strategy for a better cooperation amongst the tourism and aviation stakeholders by understanding the destination/ city demand from the tourism stakeholders. The consultation meet was attended by around 60 stakeholders from both the industries. The objective of the exhibition was to offer companies from the public and private sector to showcase their latest solutions, technologies and offerings in the realm of infrastructure project development and delivery. Companies highlighted their capabilities and key projects delivered over time for the information of all participants. Further, the exhibition also offered states and national governments of AIIB member countries to showcase investment opportunities in their respective regions / countries to financial investors from across the world.
Lead up event to the 3 rd Annual meet of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Seminar on Physical and Social Infrastructure for Regional Development 14-15 May 2018, Guwahati FICCI along with the Ministry of Finance and RIS had organized a seminar on Physical and Social Infrastructure for Regional Development on 14 15 May 2018 at Hotel Taj Vivanta in Guwahati. One of the key focus of the session was the exploration of infrastructure financing in the Inland waterways sector. This included- discussing the critical dimensions of infrastructure financing such as the sources and instruments of financing as well as deliberating on the potential for improving some of the legal and institutional aspects of financing in the waterways sector in India. Smart Cities - The Leadership Meet - Cities of the Future 4-5 July 2018, Bengaluru, Karnataka FICCI along with Smart City Leaderships, organized a two days Smart Cities The Leadership Meet on 4-5 July 2018 in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The Meet was structured to explore the disruptive technological interventions that the cities can choose to adopt. About 28 Government Officials from 17 Smart Cities had participated in the leadership meet. Improving Transparency in Secondary Real Estate Market 20 July 2018, FICCI, Federation House, New Delhi FICCI organised a conference on Improving Transparency in Secondary Real Estate Market on 20 July 2018 at Federation House, New Delhi. FICCI has taken a first of its kind initiative to take a deeper look into the Secondary Real Estate Market to present a holistic picture of the Indian Real Estate Sector. Dr K K Khandelwal, Chairman, Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority addressed the conference and highlighted that in order to bring transparency in the secondary real estate market, government must focus on digitisation of property records. FICCI POLICY RECOMMENDATION Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) supply at Mumbai Airport: FICCI welcomed the initiative of Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) on declaring the ATF pipelines currently owned and controlled by BPC and HPC as common carrier, and bringing them under the applicable regulations. The same was put forward towards the Ministry of Civil Aviation by FICCI after gathering inputs from our members. Transporter s strike: FICCI has made a recommendation to the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways on taking necessary actions for curtailing the nation-wide strike by the All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC). The strike had taken a toll on the businesses of the various sectors in the economy. In view of the same, after receiving inputs from members and member associations, FICCI made a request to the ministry for a speedy intervention and resolution of the matter.
