Our winter collection for 2018 is inspired by two major destinations: the Andean countries and Japan. Unlike previous years we leave the cities for the majesty of lakes and mountains, discovering new harmonies, red and ochre lands, deep blue up to volcanic rocks black. As usual the colors range was designed in order to have matching colors which offers multiple possibilities for different silhouettes in each style theme.
THEME 1 AMERIQUE DU SUD / PEROU / RAINBOW MOUNTAIN The dazzling Vinicunca mountain, reaching 5,029 meters above sea level stands in south of Peru, near Cuzco. This amazing place isn t the creation of a painter but is exclusively the result from time and nature. The seven-colored mountain, also called the rainbow mountain, is a marvel that offers simultaneously a psychedelic, unreal and sumptuous scenery. This multiple geological layers have been created by millennial accumulation of different sedimentary deposits, offering an incredible hues range of colors. Iron oxide creating red strata, and copper sulphate green. Blue and pastel colors are also part of our selection in natural shades.

THEME 3 AMERIQUE DU SUD / BOLIVIE / LAGUNA COLORADA The Laguna colorada or the "colored lake" in Spanish, is located on the Bolivian altiplano at more than 4000 m above sea level, in the Potosi department. It is a huge salt lake, being part of the Eduardo Avaroa National Wildlife Area. High volcanic peaks are the guardian of this incredible flamingos reproduction site. The warm colors of the waters developing a wide spectrum of browns to intense reds, is due to algae pigments and red sediments (from sodium and gypsum). And on top of it, magnesium creates wonderful iridescent reflections on the lake.

THEME 4 JAPON / KYOTO / KINKAKU-JI Kinkaku-ji is the customary name given to the Rokuon-ji Buddhist temple, located north of Kyoto. Very famous and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is nicknamed the Golden Pavilion for its magnificent facades covered with gold leaf, far from the usual sobriety of Buddhist architecture. The golden color of its walls sparkles on the pond that surrounds it, and the slate gray of its pointed roofs adds a perfect harmonious note. Along the stretch of amber and gray water, the promenade leads to the feet of the building and offers beautiful landscapes as the granite rocky islets arranged according to the Zen aesthetics code.

THEME 5 JAPON / HOKKAIDO / LAC KUSSHARO Located in a volcanic chain, Akan National Park is a Japanese national park on Hokkaido Island. Due to its location inside lands, temperature fluctuations can be very large, often creating seas of clouds. In winter, the black waters of the lake contrast with the pristine white ice and the gray of the trees dispersed on the side of the rocky mountains. In this fantastic place in grey, black and white, mixing hot springs, gaseous releases, smoke and fumaroles, the orange tint of the cranes beak brings splashes of raw color. THEME 7 JAPON / KUMAMOTO / MONT ASO Mount Aso is Japan's largest volcano, but also one of the most active. It is located in Kumamoto prefecture, in the center of Kyushu Island. Its caldera is one of the largest in the world and peaks at more than 1,500 meters above sea level. Its sulfur-saturated summit is the only place in Japan where we can admire the volutes of black smoke rising from the volcano. At this altitude, the milky cloud sea contrasts with the azure blue waters of its caldera and its green slopes.

THEME 8 AMERIQUE DU SUD / BOLIVIE / RESERVE EDUARDO AVAROA The Andean Eduardo Avaroa National Wildlife Area in Bolivia is a large nature protection area in the southwest of the Potosí Department on the border of Argentina and Chile. This wide reserve offers large plains, plateaus and, to the east, volcanic mountains range, the Western Cordillera. There is a series of lagoons colored according to the minerals found there. Thus the spectrum of the colors of the reserve varies from one place to another, moving from a gradient of blue thanks to its lagoons and azure sky, to the warm mix of browns and ochres of the great desert plains, spotted by the sandy colors of the Bolivian llamas' dresses. This wide range of natural colors inspired us this warm winter theme.
