You ve heard the expression all dressed up and no where to go. Well, that s not a problem for members at the Harbor Lite. This past October we disguised ourselves with masks for Mardi Gras; Lederhosen for Oktoberfest and glammed it up for Halloween. Oh, and SKOOOOALed our way through a SKOOOALrific Danish Breakfast. Thanks goes to: Al and Brigitte Groth for hosting another fun-filled Mardi Gras; Rolfe and Karen Christensen (and their crew) for serving up a delicious Danish Breakfast; Sue Musurlian for coordinating the red carpet Hollywood Halloween Party. And, last but not least, those members who came out to support DRC s inaugural Oktoberfest held at our club. Considering, it wasn t the warmest day, everyone was in a festive mood! The beer flowed, wine was sipped and the food enjoyed! Jon and Carol did a fabulous job creating the German dish for sale! And, thanks to Johnny Bernez for entertaining us with some authentic Polka music. Lot s of fun! PROST! We ve got plenty more events in store for the next two months, so save-the-dates for the Kid s Christmas Party, Members Christmas Party and New Year s Eve Party. Fill out the Kid s Party flyer included in this Beacon and return asap. Mailers with details will be coming in the mail soon for the other events. The General Meeting and Election of Officers will be held on Sunday, December 7 at 2 pm. Please plan to attend! This is an opportunity for all members to ask questions, receive updates and discuss new business relating to Harbor Lite. Regarding the election, ballots will be mailed out shortly after the November Board Meeting. Be sure to complete your ballot and return it to the club or turn it in when you come to the meeting. There happens to be no Packer game that day, so please make it a point to attend the meeting and participate. Thank you! Ken Gall, Commodore
