Training of students from Afghanistan: The Council signed a contract with Ministry of Education, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for providing training to students from Islamic Republic of Afghanistan under Construction Project Professional Programme (CPPP). CPP Programme is designed to develop skills for the supervision of construction project work activity in fifteen most crucial competencies required for a successful project execution. Seven students joined the training, which is being financed by Islamic Republic of Afghanistan through a grant received from International Development Agency (IDA) and Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF) for the Afghanistan Skill Development Project (ASDP). Inauguration of Research Center at Faridabad: CIDC - Mewar University research centre was inaugurated on 22 nd Faridabad for the promotion of R&D activities in construction sector. Ltd. at Bhubaneswar & 11 candidates were selected in that interview from Employment Mission project. b) Placement meet was organized at Vishwakarma Ekadash (Phulnakhara) Centre on 4 th & 5 th Feb 2013 & SPCL took part in to that & 49 candidates were selected in that interview (28 candidates from Employment Mission project & 21 from HUDCO project) c) Visit of Mr. Murali K Jami (DGM) HUDCO at VKE (Phulnakhara) centre on 6 th Feb 2013. This visit was done for inspection & verification of 1 st batch of Odisha under HUDCO project. d) Cultural event organised at all centre s on each Saturday evening. Gorakhpur Training Centre Final Examination of Trainees of Different Trades of 1 st Batch, RECL at Gorakhpur center. On 8 th.feb.2013 at 9.00 am, final examination was conducted for GWS, Land Surveyor, Electrician, Site Accountant and Plumber. Out of 110 trainees, 6 trainees have been transferred to VKP, Faridabad to undergo training in Store Keeping and Safety Inspector trades, 7 trainees have been placed in ERA, OJT, and 96 trainees appeared in examination. Mr. Sanjay Tiwari, Engineer Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) was present to understand the methodology of the training and found the trainees good and also recommended them for employment. After lunch at 2.00PM, Mr. Maqsood Ahmad, Mr. Pradeep Kr. Paswan, Mr. Zafar Khan, Mr. Mastan Khan Kathat, and Ms. Kritima Gurung took viva of all trainees related to their respective trades. SPECIAL JOB ORIENTED TRANING CAMP CIDC Gorakhpur Center, organized special job oriented 3 days training camps in Gorakhpur and Deoria districts from 9 th Feb 2013 to 11 th Feb 2013. District level officers and Stake Holders of Rajiv Gandhi Udyami Mitra Yojana imparted training. 40 trainees had participated in the camp and they were guided by CIDC trainers Mr.Maqsood Ahmad and Mr.Mastan Kathat. During training, trainees learned about latest construction techniques, uses of Ferrocement and light weight pre fabricated structures. All these techniques are being supported by different government agencies. After reviewing the performance of our trainees, they have offered 35 trainees for employment under these schemes on initial salary of Rs.5, 000 per month with free lodging and boarding. In the last day, the sponsors of the training had organized the closing ceremony function at the evening with colorful cultural program performed by trainees. Mr.Pratap Narayan Jaiswal, Patel Trading Company, presented the memento to Mr.P.K.Mishra, Deputy Director CIDC Gorakhpur to give honor of respect. At the end of the program Mr.P.K.Mishra, Deputy Director gave a special vote of thanks to all authorities on behalf of CIDC. Placement Meet: Construction companies across the country are expanding implementing new technologies & hiring more trained manpower comparatively CIDC through placement service offering this free service to Construction Industry. The current position that we are offering at present are: The next Placement Meet in the Northern Region shall be on 15 th March, 2013 at Vishwakarma Pratham, Faridabad, Haryana. The next Placement Meet for M/s. Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd shall be hold in Bhubaneswar on 1 st & 2 nd March, 2013 at our Vishwakarma Ekadash, Odisha. During last Placement Meet on 15 th Feb, 2013 at Vishwakarma Pratham, Faridabad, Haryana, few new companies had participated from NCR & given assurance that every month they will be attending the Meet, M/s PMS Buildtech Pvt Ltd have selected 12 candidates (Welder, Lab Technician, Storekeeper, General Work Supervisor, Land Surveyor, Site Accountant.) and M/s. Xebec Project Management Services Pvt. Ltd, have selected 11 candidates P a g e 4

(General Work Supervisor, Electrician, Storekeeper). We have also placed Two Land Surveyors at M/s. Akshat Consltant Engg Pvt. Ltd, New Delhi, and One Land Surveyor at M/s. Jagarnath Construction Pvt. Ltd, New Delhi, and Three Land Surveyors at M/s. Raiding Consltant Engg Pvt. Ltd, New Delhi, and Two Land Surveyors at M/s. C. Prakashan & co. New Delhi, and Three General Work Supervisors at M/s. APAAR Infratech Pvt. Ltd New Delhi, and Three Electricians at M/s. Ultra Power Construction, Mumbai. We successfully conducted Placement Meet at Gorakhpur Training Centre, UP, during 18 th 19 th January, 2013 & participated companies are M/s. Ganpati Innovative Ltd have selected 6 candidates (GWS, Site Accountant, Storekeeper, Plumbers), M/s. Bhagirath Realty Ltd have selected 4 candidates (GWS, Site Accountant), M/s. Bhagirath Infraventure Pvt. Ltd have selected 3 candidates (GWS, Site Accountant, Plumber), M/s. Rakesh Bhargav Construction Company have selected 6 candidates (Site Accountant, Electrician), M/s. Kisna Industrial Corporation have selected 2 candidates (Plumbers), M/s. Patel Trading Company have selected 35 candidates (GWS, Site Accountant, Land Surveyor, Electrician, Storekeeper), M/s. PMS Buildtech Pvt. Ltd have selected 3 candidates (Site Accountants,). Total 59 candidates placed from Gorakhpur training centre. We have got requirement from M/s. Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd, Pasmina Site at Bangalore 50 Shuttering Carpenter & 50 Helpers, and organizing Placement Meet at Odisha Centre very soon. As desired by Odisha State Employment Mission Society (OSEMS) we are conducting training for the rural poor unemployed candidates in our eight centres at different locations so far placed through placement meet about 316 candidates. New Initiatives. CIDC has got work-order for the skill up gradation of workers and supervisors employed by contractors of UPRRDA under PMSGY. This program is going to be conducted at Gorakhpur from 13 th March, 2013 to 15 th March, 2013 for 30 candidates. Construction Industry development council has received government work order from Tamil Nadu skill Development Mission Govt. of Tamil Nadu for imparting of skill development program to 3500 unemployed youth. CIDC-ACTIVITIES Under CIDC-RECL Training Phase-III Program New training centre in Shivpuri (MP) has been commenced with effect from 16.02.2013 with batch strength of 120 candidates in Mason, General Works Supervisor & Land Survey Trade. Also in Guna (MP) another training centre has been commenced on 28.02.2013 with a batch strength of 120 candidates in different trades. Under CIDC-HUDCO training program in Odisha another batch of 35 candidates has been started at Phulnakhra with effect from 01.03.2013. Under CIDC-PFCL training program at present 56 nos. of candidates getting training at CIDC VKP Faridabad and 52 nos. of candidates are getting training at Ghaziabad in different trades. These candidates are from U.P., Bihar & Haryana states. Under CIDC-SJVN training program, 39 nos. of candidates are getting training at CIDC VKP Faridabad in the trade of Welder. Under Rajasthan Minorities Training program at approx. 300 candidates are getting training in different trades at Jaipur, Alwar, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sawaimadhapur, Sikar & Dausa.
