Munich City Hall at the Marienplatz Castle Neuschwanstein Day 1: Monday, September 30, 2019 Departure We meet at the Indianapolis International Airport to board our trans-atlantic flight Berlin, Germany! Day 2: Tuesday, October 1, 2019 Munich Upon our arrival in Munich the capital of Bavaria and one of Germany s liveliest cities, we meet our coach driver and tour guide. A local guide joins us on a city orientation tour of Munich including a walking tour of the city center. We see the Olympic Grounds, Nymphenburg Castle, and the Glockenspiel on the main city square. We enjoy a welcome dinner tonight at a local Munich establishment. B, D Day 3: Wednesday, October 2, 2019 Munich This morning there we visit Dachau, a Nazi concentration camp. It is a time in history never to be forgotten. After time for reflection, we proceed to the famed Oktoberfest. Here we have to sample the great pretzels, the foaming festival beer, the spit-roasted chicken, beef, and all the other delicious foods available at this, the "world's biggest celebration!" B, L Day 4: Thursday, October 3, 2019 Oberammergau After breakfast we depart Munich. At Ettal, we visit the monastery and enjoy a cheese tasting. We then continue on to visit Linderhof, the extravagant showplace castle of the eccentric Bavarian King Ludwig II. This afternoon we stop at the world-famous woodcarving village of Oberammergau renowned for its brightly colored frescoes which adorn its homes and shops as well as the Passion Play which takes place every ten years. B, D Day 5: Friday, October 4, 2019 Rothenburg We continue our route today, stopping in Füssen where we visit and tour the Castle Neuschwanstein, the most famous of King Ludwig s royal castles. Then we make our way to Rothenburg, a well-preserved medieval city, with its ramparts, city gate, and town hall. Perhaps the most famous town on the Romantic Road, Rothenburg is indeed a jewel. We visit a Rothenburg area winery and sample some of the fine wines. Later we have free time inside the walls before joining the Night Watchman s tour as he makes the nightly rounds spinning the tales of the city. B, D Day 6: Saturday, October 5, 2019 Rothenburg Today we delight this amazing time capsule as we have a free day to explore Rothenburg. B, D Day 7: Sunday, October 6, 2019 Kassel We drive to Kassel to visit the Lowenberg Castle and the Grimm World Center and exhibition. We overnight in Kassel where dinner is on our own. B Day 8: Monday, October 7, 2019 Hamelin We start early today as there is much to see. We begin with a visit to Dornröschen Schloss Sababurg where Sleeping Beauty s Castle comes to life. Next, we stop at the fortress and town of Trendelburg, the stage of recited fairy tales and myths. Part of the mediaeval building complex is Rapunzel's Tower. Over the former drawbridge that leads across the moat leads, visitors must bend down to pass through the portal into the cobblestone fortress courtyard. From there, we see the Rothenburg ob der Tauber

B, D Day 9: Tuesday, October 8, 2019 Bremen Hamelin is town famous in European Folklore as the home of the Pied Piper, a mysterious man in multicolored clothes who promised the townspeople to free Hameln from a plague of rats and mice for a substantial reward. We enjoy following the "rats'" footprints into the old town and admire the fine old houses of the Weser Renaissance period. This afternoon we depart for Bremen. Dinner is on our own tonight. B Day 10: Wednesday, October 9, 2019 Bremen This morning a local guide joins us for a tour of Bremen. We listen to the tale There once was a man who had a donkey. as we take in the sculpture of the musicians from the fairy tale. The afternoon is free to explore the many museums, visit the art galleries, shop in the markets, or take a bike ride. Dinner is on our own tonight. B Day 11: Thursday, October 10, 2019 Berlin After breakfast, we depart for Berlin stopping en route at Bergen-Belsen the site of the Nazi concentration camp where Anne Frank lost her life. Next, we stop in Potsdam to visit Sanssouci Palace and Gardens, the summer residence of Frederick the Great and his retreat from the challenges of war and diplomacy. We spend our final two nights in Berlin. B, D Day 12: Friday, October 11, 2019 Berlin Today starts with a guided tour of Berlin including stops at the famous Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column for photos. We see the Cathedral, the Reichstag building, the lively boulevards, and Cold War Check Point Charlie Museum in addition to the WWII Topography of Terror Museum. We end today with a farewell dinner at a local German restaurant. B, D Day 13: Saturday, October 12, 2019 Return to U.S. Our tour has come to an end. We transfer to Tegel airport for our return flight home. Passengers may add after this date subject to air and land availability. Generally airlines do not increase the price of a ticket after it has been contracted. However, prior to the issuance of a ticket, airlines may (and regularly do) impose fuel, tax, or security surcharges. In the event a surcharge is imposed after Ed- Ventures has received a final payment, Ed-Ventures will send an additional invoice for the surcharge amount. Early registration is encouraged. Currency: Currency exchange rates fluctuate constantly. In the event of a significant drop in the value of the dollar, we reserve the right to add a currency surcharge to the price of the tour. Refund/Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be in writing. The date of postmark determines the amount of refund due. Refunds are based on the number of days prior to departure date. From the time of deposit to 99 days before departure a $100 administrative fee plus any airfare penalties will be assessed. From 99-14 days, a $300 cancellation penalty plus lost airfare deposits and any unrecoverable deposits to ground suppliers will be assessed. Airline tickets once purchased are nonrefundable. Anyone canceling less than 14 days prior to departure will receive no refund. Purchase of health, baggage, and trip cancellation/ interruption insurance is strongly recommended.

Terms and Conditions We reserve the right to cancel this trip due to lack of subscription. In the event of cancellation of the trip in its entirety, a full refund of all deposits will be made to passengers enrolled at the time of cancellation. Tour price is based on the value of the dollar and the cost of airfare and is subject to change without notice. Extensions are usually available, but must be requested when booking the tour. Any changes in airfare booking may result in a processing fee. It may be possible, that due to unforeseen events, conditions, or changes in airline schedules, the land portion of the trip may be extended or shortened. Any savings realized by such occurrences will be refunded, however any extra expenses incurred must be borne by the client. Trip cancellation insurance is available. This low-cost protection can save you money if you are forced to cancel or alter your trip for a medical reason only. You will be mailed trip cancellation insurance information with the brochure or upon receipt of your deposit. Responsibility: Tilson Travel, Ed-Ventures, Inc., their officers and employees, tour hosts, or any other persons or vendors connected with the tour shall not under any circumstances be liable to the client under or by reason of this agreement directly or indirectly for any accidents, injury, delay, damage, or inconvenience caused to the client by negligence of others, by malfunctions of transportation systems or equipment, by acts of war, terrorism, or rebellion, strikes, theft, itinerary changes, extreme weather conditions, or cancellations, and the client hereby releases the above mentioned corporation and persons from any and all such liability. The airline(s) concerned are not held responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time passengers are not on their planes or conveyances. The passenger's contract in use by the airlines concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser of this tour and/or passenger. Any and/or all transportation companies herein mentioned shall not have nor incur any responsibility to any traveler aside from their liability as common carriers. Air and land costs are subject to change without notice. Air transportation is via special, non refundable airfare. Any additional airfare assessments made by the airlines for any changes whatsoever shall be the responsibility of the client. Other rules may also apply. Services of any A.R.C. or I.A.T.A. carrier may be used in conjunction with this tour. If there is a change in air prices and/or currency exchange rates, we reserve the right to adjust prices.
