Incident Log. 02/04/13 15: TH TER, BELTON On Monday February 4th, 2013 I responded to a suspicious activity call in rural Belton, Missouri.

ACTIVITY LOG WEEK OF Aug 4 -Aug 10, 2017 Aug 4 Officers received a report of calls claiming to be the FBI or an IRS matter. Reporting party was advised these were a scam. Report of suspicious circumstances in the 900 block of Alice St. Reporting party saw a suspicious vehicle in the area and thought their mail may have been tampered with. Call determined to be unfounded. Malicious Mischief report received, vehicle was egged sometime during the night. No permanent damage to the vehicle was found. Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated male walking near Housel Middle School with a 24 pack of beer. Welfare check was conducted, the male made his way to his residence. Officers responded to two noise complaints at a residence in the 1300 block of Wine County Rd, an adult male was cited for Public Disturbance. Aug 5 Traffic stop, driver was found to be Driving Under the Influence. One adult male was booked into the Benton County Jail for DUI. Graffiti report, damage was found under the Pavilion behind the Boys and Girls Club and also on the Basketball Court at EJ Miller Park. City crew was notified. Report of a runaway from Sunnyside possibly in the Prosser Area, unable to locate runaway. Graffiti report on W North River Rd/Wine Country Rd, graffiti was located on the southwest side of the bridge on the side walk. City crew was notified. Aug 6 Officers responded to Housel Middle School, reporting party found two open windows. School official was notified. No crimes were found to have been committed, appeared to be left open by an employee. Landlord/Tenant issues in the 600 block of New Gate Drive, Landlord was advised to go through the eviction process. Traffic stop in the 300 block of Wamba Road, driver was found to be Driving Under the Influence. One adult male was booked into the Benton County Jail for DUI. Traffic stop at the Loves Truck stop, male driver was found to be Driving with a Suspended License and to have an active warrant out of Benton County. Adult male was cited for Driving with a Suspended License in the 3 rd Degree and booked into the Benton County Jail for his warrants. A search warrant was served on the vehicle and additional charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Carrying a Concealed Weapon were forwarded to the Prosecutor. Officers received a Welfare check request for a small child left unattended in a vehicle at Les Schwab. The small child turned out to be a 17 year old female who appeared to be fine. Aug 7 Officers responded to a Suspicious Persons report. It was reported that three males were running and yelling in the 200 block of Canyon Drive. The area was checked, Officers were unable to locate males. Officers responded to the 800 block of Ellen Ave for an injured Hawk. The hawk was transported to Prosser Veterinarian Clinic to be picked up by Blue Mountain Bird Rescue for rehab.

Officers responded to a report of Vehicle prowl in the 100 block Columbia Dr, personal hygiene items were stolen. Officers received a report of theft of City water at a residence in the 1700 block of Highland Drive on August 3rd, one adult male and one adult female were cited for Theft 3 rd. Officers responded to a 911 hung up call somewhere on Alice Street. Officers checked several residences, but no issues were found. Officers responded to a civil issue in the 900 block of Alexander Court, all parties involved were advised that all civil issues need to be settled through Court. Aug 8 Traffic Stop for expired registration, driver was found to have no ID or license and was only 15 years old. Parents of juvenile were contacted to pick up the juvenile and vehicle. Officers responded to the 500 block of 6 th St for a report of a bike left in the shrubs. Bike was placed in found property. Officers responded to the 100 block of Merlot Drive for a non injury traffic accident, exchange of information was done. Report of a stolen vehicle out of Umatilla County, Onstar showed the vehicle to be in the area of Wine country Rd and I82. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle. Aug 9 Officers responded to a report of a possible DUI at McDonalds, Officers were unable to locate the vehicle. Malicious Mischief report received in the 1100 block of Playfield Ave. Reporting party advised their vehicle had been taken without their permission and was damaged upon return. Damage was also found to have been done to a second vehicle at the location. One Adult female was arrested on August 10 th for Taking a Motor Vehicle Without Permission 2 nd and booked into the Benton County Jail. Additional report regarding a phone scam received, Officers were unable to reach the reporting party upon call back. Officers responded to a vehicle fire report on I 82 off ramp, responding officer was able to extinguish the flames. No injuries were reported. Aug 10 Officers responded to a report of a bicycle theft from a residence in the 100 block of Old Inland Empire Highway. Stolen bike is described as a Trek brand bicycle with aftermarket turn signals and a generator that is powered by the front wheel. Officers responded to a shoplifting report at San Jose Market. Two juveniles were arrested for Theft 3 rd. Officers responded to a disturbance between a male and female in the 1300 block of Wine Country Rd, incident was found to be verbal only and parties separated for the night. Officers responded to a parking lot collision at Highland Drive and Parkside Drive, no injuries were reported.

ACTIVITY LOG WEEK OF Aug 11 -Aug 17, 2017 Aug 11 Officers responded to the 300 block of Casi Court for a verbal disturbance. Verbal only, parties were separated for the evening. Vehicle prowl report in the 1200 block of Sheridan Ave, no items reported as stolen. Forgery report received, reporting party stated someone had forged their name on the title to their vehicle and had sold it without their consent. Case is currently under investigation. Officers received a scam report. Reporting party was locked out of their computer and were instructed to purchase $200 worth of ITunes gift cards in order to have it unlocked. The computer was turned off for the time being and no exchange of gift cards or money had taken place. Officers responded to a report of an aggressive driver on SR 22 and Wine Country Rd, Officers were unable to locate the vehicle. Officers responded to a suspicious circumstance call. Smell of burning rubber coming from under the bridge on Wine Country Road was reported. Responding Officers found a tent with miscellaneous clothing and personal property on fire. West Benton Fire Rescue was able to get the fire under control. Aug 12 19 year old male was contacted walking on Patterson Rd carrying a case of beer. Upon contact he was found to also be in possession of marijuana. Male was cited for Minor in Possession of Alcohol and Possession of Marijuana. Officers responded to a Hit and Run report on Chardonnay Ave. Driver had knocked over a City street lamp which caused all of the street lights to go out. City crews were notified of the damage. Traffic stop on Wine Country Rd, driver was found to be Driving with a Suspended License 1 st Degree. Adult male was cited for Speeding, No Ignition Interlock and was booked into the Benton County Jail for Driving with a Suspended License 1 st Degree. Disturbance report received in the 300 block of Casi Court. It was reported that an adult male had broken down the door to his ex-girlfriend s house. Male was later located in the next door neighbor s backyard. Adult male was booked into the Benton County Jail for Criminal Trespassing, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Malicious Mischief charges. Officers responded to a non injury accident in the 600 block of Wine Country Rd. Aug 13 Officers assisted Yakima County Sheriff s Office with a shooting victim at Prosser Memorial Hospital. Shooting occurred near Fischer Rd in Mabton. Victim later died from their injuries and the Yakima County Sheriff s has ruled the case a homicide. Refer to YSO for any further information. Officers responded to a report of loud music with profanities coming from somewhere near Sunset Drive and Nell St. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate where the music was coming from. Officers, assisted BCSO with traffic control for a structure fire on County Rout 12, no injuries were reported. Officers responded to a report of a Burglary in progress in the 500 block of Wine Country Rd. Turned out to be a trespass complaint. Former tenant was advised not to come back onto the property, report is being sent to the Prosecutor s Office for review.

Aug 14 Animal complaint of two dogs aggressively charging and jumping on a female at EJ Miller Park. Owner of a German Sheppard and Chow was located. The dogs were collected and no injuries were reported. Traffic accident at 8 th and Meade Ave, no injuries were reported. Traffic stop in the 600 block of Wine Country Road. One adult female suspected in a theft case that occurred on August 10 th was contacted. The female was arrested for multiple charges, during the arrest the female was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Female was booked into the Benton County Jail for Driving with a Suspended License 2 nd, Theft 3 rd, and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Traffic stop at SR 22 and Patterson Rd, female driver was found to be Driving with a Suspended License 3 rd Degree. Adult female was cited and released. Lobby contact, wanting to talk with an Officer regarding an ongoing issue with neighbors blocking his driveway, Officer contacted other party and advised them that they cannot park their boat on the street. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle driving slow and turning around multiple times near the tennis courts as the reporting party was going for a walk. Officers contacted an adult male in the area who stated he was just there to relax and enjoy the evening. Officers responded to a disturbance report in the 600 block of Meade Ave. Male and female were engaged in an argument. One adult male was cited for Assault 4 th. Aug 15 Traffic stop at OIE and Van Buren. One adult male was booked into the Benton County Jail for No Valid Operator s License without ID and Making False Statement to a Public Officer. Officers responded to a non injury collision in the parking lot of Starbucks. Second party was gone upon Officer arrival and an exchange of information had already been done. Officers responded to a parking lot collision at the Best Time Food Mart were one vehicle had hit a pole. Both parties involved were contacted and an agreement was made regarding the damages. Theft report received in the 800 block of Alexander Ct. Two children s bicycles were reported stolen. One is described as a green Huffy brand bicycle and the second is described as a white/black/red unknown brand BMX style bicycle. Officers responded to a report of an erratically driven vehicle in the 900 block of 7 th St. Vehicle was stopped and both the driver and passenger were contacted, neither seemed to be intoxicated or under the influence of narcotics. Verbal warning for lane travel was given. Aug 16 Traffic stop in the 700 block of Wine Country Rd, driver was found to be Driving with a Suspended License 3 rd Degree. Adult male was cited and released for Driving with a Suspended License 3 rd Degree and Speeding. Officers responded to an Assault report in the 800 block of Main St. Responding Officers found a mutual fight between two juvenile males had occurred. Both parties were informed that charges would be forwarded to the Prosecutor s Office. Assault report received in the 1700 block of Highland Dr. Physical argument between one adult male and one adult female. Report is being forwarded to the Prosecutor s office for review of possible charges.

Aug 17 Officers responded to a report of a DV Assault in the 600 block of New Gate Drive. Physical argument between husband and wife. One adult male was arrested for Assault 4 th DV and booked into the Benton County Jail. Graffiti report in the 1100 block of Dudley Ave, multiple structures and items were tagged. Officers cleaned what they could and notified City crew to manage the remaining graffiti. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person in the 100 block of N Wamba Rd. Person was reported as staggering in the roadway, harassing staff and looking into vehicles. Officers contacted an adult male who advised that he was walking to the store and denied looking into any vehicles. No crime was committed and the male was warned to stay out of the roadway. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person possibly under the influence in the 400 block of Wine Country Rd, responding officers contacted the same adult male that was contacted on N Wamba Rd. The male was transported to his father s residence and was released to his father. Male was warned of a future arrest if Officers had to be called to contact him again. Officers responded to a report of four vehicles racing each other in the 1300 block of Sommers Ave. Area was checked, Officers were unable to locate any vehicles.

ACTIVITY LOG WEEK OF Aug 18 -Aug 24, 2017 Aug 18 Officers responded to a report of a dog bite in the 900 block of Brown St. An adult female was walking along the alleyway when two dogs, a Doberman and a small unknown type of dog came over the fence and charged at her. The Doberman bit the victim on her leg. The victim was treated for her injuries and the Doberman was taken by Animal Control for quarantine. The owner of the Doberman was cited for Potentially Dangerous Dog Outside Enclosure. Officers responded to a dispute between neighbors in the 600 block of New Gate Dr. One neighbor was upset with the other over their dog coming into their yard to defecate. Dog owner was advised that dogs are required to be on a leash when off of their property. Aug 19 Officers responded to a civil dispute over missing property in the 100 block of Nunn Rd. Traffic stop, driver was found to have an active misdemeanor warrant and to be Driving with a Suspended License 3 rd Degree, Adult male was booked into Benton County Jail for the warrant. Male was also issued a citation for DWLS 3 rd and an infraction for Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance. Noise complaint received in the area of EJ Miller Park, reporting party was upset about the noise coming from the movie in the park. Reporting party was advised that the company had a permit to have their party in the park. Reporting party was also advised to contact City Hall if they wished to file a complaint. Aug 20 Officers responded to a civil dispute that turned into a disturbance in the 1500 block of Grant Ave. All parties were separated for the day. Officers assisted EMS with a medical call in the 300 block of OIE. EMS was unable to gain entry into the residence due to the doors being locked. One of the responding Officers was able to crawl through an unlocked window to allow EMS to enter and assist the occupant. Trespass report in the 100 block of SR 22, case will be sent to the Prosecutor s Office for review. Theft report received in the 1300 block of Meade Ave. A purse was reported as stolen. The purse is described as tan with green spirals with a leather strap. Officers responded to a report of malicious mischief that had occurred in the men s restroom at EJ Miller Park. Upon arrival Officers contacted four juvenile males. It was reported that the juveniles had set a box on fire and placed it in the men s restroom causing damage to the floor. One juvenile male was arrested for Malicious Mischief 3 rd Degree, charges were sent to the Prosecutor s Office. Officers received a report of graffiti at the City Park. City crews covered the graffiti. Aug 21 Report of a phone scam. Reporting party received an auto recorded call claiming to be the IRS, leaving a number for call back. No money or information was given. Officers responded to a loud vehicle complaint in the area of Grant Ave, 7 th, 8 th and 9 th streets. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in progress in the 1600 block of Sherman Ave. Upon Officer arrival it was reported that a male and a female were engaged in an argument and the male had

backed over the female s foot with his truck causing injury. Charges of Assault 3 rd DV were sent to the Prosecutor s Office for review. Aug 22 Officers responded to a DV assault report in the 2100 block of Wine Country Rd, physical argument between boyfriend and girlfriend. Parties had left location prior to Officer arrival. Officers were later able to contact the victim who was found to have sustained multiple injuries. Charges for Assault 2 nd DV forwarded to the Prosecutors Office for the adult male. Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of Sheridan Ave, verbal only argument between husband and wife. No injuries were reported, parties agreed to separate for the evening. Suspicious person report received in the 1100 block of Sherman. It was reported that as police vehicles were traveling down Sheridan Ave a female was seen ducking down in front of the reporting party s residence and then reportedly ran away. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the female. Officers responded to a non reportable vehicle collision in the 100 block of Merlot Dr, Officer assisted with exchange of information. Aug 23 Officers responded to a suspicious circumstances report near Brown St and Park Ave. Camper was found with the door ajar. Responding Officer secured the camper door and notified the owner. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at an abandoned house in the 100 block of SR 22. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle. Aug 24 Officers responded to a report of a suspicious bag left at the bus top on Stacy Ave. Responding Officer found an empty bag, nothing suspicious located. Officers responded to a suspicious circumstance report in the 900 block of Rosa Vista Dr. Reporting party found a wooden cross and a Domino s pizza banner in their yard. Banner was returned to Domino s and pictures of the cross were posted to the PD s Facebook page in an attempt to try and identify the owner. Officers responded to a report of juveniles smoking marijuana near the stage at the City Park. Officers were unable to locate any juveniles. Stolen bike was recovered on the corner of Alexander Court and Paterson Ave, bike was returned to the owner.

ACTIVITY LOG WEEK OF Aug 25 Aug 31, 2017 Aug 25 Noise complaint received in the 1300 block of Grant Ave. Report of loud music with bass coming from a vehicle in the area. Officers contacted an adult male who was playing music loudly from within his residence. Male was told to turn down the music to which he complied. Officers responded to McDonald s for a report of a wanted subject located inside the restaurant. Responding Officers were unable to locate the subject upon arrival. Officers responded to a report of dangerous dogs in the 800 block of Brown St. Reporting party stated their neighbors two Blue Healer dogs jumped their latched fence and killed their cat. RP further advised that numerous cats had been killed in the neighborhood by the same two dogs. Animal Control took possession of the dogs and the owner was cited for Dangerous Dog x 2. Aug 26 Officers responded to a DV Assault in the 200 block of Canyon Dr, physical argument between boyfriend and girlfriend. Adult female was arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail for Assault 4 th Degree DV. Theft report in the 900 block of Lillian St, victim report they had two gas cans stolen from their yard. Suspicious activity report in the 2100 block of Highland Dr. It was reported that a white male posing as a Dish salesman was going door to door in the area. Dish advised that they did not have any salesmen in the area. Male was reported as driving a white unmarked car. Officers were unable to locate male. Officers responded to a disturbance report in the 300 block of Merlot Dr. Male and female being loud and crying heard. Officers found a female with an injured ankle, medics were dispatched and the female was transported to PMH. Was determined to not be DV related. Traffic stop at Mercer CT /Wine Country Rd, female driver was found to be driving under the influence. Adult female was booked into the Benton County Jail for DUI. Aug 27 Officers assisted Washington State Patrol with an abandoned truck at the bottom of SR 221. It appeared that the truck had over heated. No one was around and the truck was in the middle of the roadway, Hall s Towing was contacted to remove it. Traffic stop at Nunn/Wine Country Rd, male driver was found to be driving under the influence. Adult male was arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail for DUI. Officers responded to a report of a small white dog wandering around in the 200 block of Canyon Dr, dog was released to Animal Control. Officers responded to a report of two gunshots coming from the direction of Wine Country Rd. Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate anything suspicious. Aug 28 Officers responded to a report of juveniles on a dirt bike and a motorized go kart near Anna and Sadie St. Officers contacted the juveniles and advised them to slow down and be more cautious around kids and vehicles. Officers assisted Benton County Sheriff s with a disturbance in the 500 block of N Albro Rd, physical argument between a male and female. Male was taken into custody by BCSO.

Aug 29 Officers responded to a residential burglar alarm in the1800 block of Benson Ave. Responding Officers located a broken window on a detached garage. No signs of entry were found to the home, and nothing appeared to be missing. Officers responded to a second residential burglary report in the1800 block of Benson Ave. A blue tooth speaker was reported as stolen. Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person in the 100 block of SR 22. Upon officer arrival it was discovered that the adult male was allowed to be at the residence. Officers responded to a vehicle prowl in progress in the 1300 block of Wine Country Road. Reporting party advised that they had seen an unknown male enter their travel trailer outside of their residence. Responding Officers located two males within the trailer, it was determined that an older male was responding to a Craigslist ad for sex. The male was released as there was no admission of money being exchanged. The second individual was found to have an active DOC warrant. He was arrested and booked into the Benton County Jail. Aug 30 Officers responded to a disturbance in the 900 block of Campbell Dr, argument between boyfriend and girlfriend. All parties were separated for the day. Aug 31 Found property report in the 900 block of Kinney Way. Reporting party found a Trouble Maker Freestyle BMX bicycle in their yard. The bicycle did not return as stolen and was taken to the PD for safekeeping. Officers responded to a report of disturbance in progress in the 400 block of Nunn Rd. Upon officer arrival it was reported that a male and female were engaged in a verbal argument, no injuries were reported. Parties were separated for the evening. Officers responded to a report of an attempted burglary that had occurred sometime after midnight Thursday morning in the 800 block of 6 th St. Victim found the front window of their residence broken, no items were reported as stolen. Officers responded to a report of a possible vehicle theft in progress at Hall Chevrolet. It was reported that two males were seen entering two vehicles and then driving away. Vehicles would later be found abandoned. One vehicle was located in Yakima County and the second was located in Prosser. Case is under investigation.
