ROMA CONVENTION CENTER LA NUVOLA After the recent and impressive opening on the 29 th October 2016, The Roma Convention Center La Nuvola is already a convention landmark in the EUR District and in the Capital having hosted 14 major events in the first six months. The building stands out for its striking visual impact, created through the originality of its architecture and the use of highly advanced materials and cutting edge technologies. The Roma Convention Center La Nuvola is spread in three main levels on an area of nearly 60.000 square meters with a maximum capacity of 8.000 seats: Level Meeting halls: 9.000 square meters of modular space: - until 30 meeting rooms from 40 to 3.000 people; - a plenary up to 6.000 people; - control rooms, vip area, press offices, wardrobe and offices. Level Forum : 6.000 square meters of multi-functional space where La Nuvola is suspended: exhibition area, gala dinner, product presentation. Auditorium : 1.800 seats ( 1.200 in the stalls and 600 in the gallery ) with n. 3 external foyers: everything is inside a 14.000 square meters of fibre glass cloth. The Terrace Salone della Cultura IL PALAZZO DEI CONGRESSI Palazzo dei Congressi is managed by Roma Convention Group. It is one of the most representative and imposing rationalist buildings, a perfect mix of classical and modern style. It is the ideal venue for any kind of events thanks to its large and versatile spaces decorated with marble which can be adjusted to meet a wide range of requirements. The main halls of this building are: Salone della Cultura: 1.550 square meters covered by a vaulted dome with two large colonnades: exhibition area, gala dinner, product presentation Auditorium Capitalis: 800 seats ( Theatre Style ); It has modern equipment and systems with two different screen ( 4 x 3 and 12 x 7 meters ). Foyer Kennedy and Foyer Arte: almost 800 square meters each; these spacious are adjacent to the main halls: registration areas, exhibition and catering spaces or elegant gala dinners. First Floor: a space of 2.000 square meters which can be partitioned through modular walls to meet any requirements. The Terrace: over 2.500 square meters is ideal for a gala dinners, music and drama performances.
SALONE DELLE FONTANE An elegant, extremely large and refined venue with Carrara marble floors and columns lit with natural light through 12 large 9 meter-high windows. The wall at the end of this Hall features a painting by Gino Severini of 1953 created on masonite boards. Considering the size and the versatile nature of this space, it is possible to design a high impact and suggestive stage for conventions, congresses, exhibitions, fashion shows and gala dinners. Salone Severini can be connected to the adjacent Sala Minnucci: the partitions between these two areas can be removed for an open-space formula so as to use these two halls together.
SPAZIO 900 An extremely versatile and elegant space of 1.000 square meters in the heart of EUR. Two scenographic terraces can host events 12 months per year. Spazio Novecento can host: congresses and conventions, meetings, exhibitions and trade fairs, gala dinners and corporate events, fashion shows and parties. Spazio Novecento was designed with an innovative concept for Rome. It is an event location that is extremely versatile and which can be adapetd to any kind of requirement. It is equipped with state of the art technologies, like a true television studio, to create many different types of events and shows and to allow technicians to work with great ease.
ACQUARIO Eur will host Mediterraneum Acquario di Roma, a center of about 14.000 square meters devoted to leisure and to research with the most sophisticated technologies to protect the Mediterranean sea life. LUNEUR Luneur, built in 1953, is the oldest amusement park in Italy. After its recent renovation and restoration it has changed its name into The Garden of Wonders. The amusement park covers over 7 hectares and includes games, attractions and entertainment, especially for children under 12.
PALAZZO DELLO SPORT Palazzo dello Sport was designed in 1956 by architect Marcello Piacentini and by engineer Pier Luigi Nervi. It was built between 1958 and 1960 for the XVII Olympic Games in Rome. Since then, this facility has hosted national and international sports events, performances and concerts as well as high profile conferences and political conventions. Its dome has been lined by noise-proofing material to make it fit for a wide range of events in addition to sports. People can easily access this facility through 16 entrances all along its perimeter, 20 meters apart.
